I use to hate going to dentist, being 72, I can honestly say, This office is so friendly, it is the very first time, I actually enjoy it! Sounds strange, but caring these days goes a long way! This was my second visit, my first was shortly after my husbands death, and I walked out of the office feeling like I was visiting friends!

Great visit. Chrystal and Dr Smith were excellent. Admin advised me before I went in that I was due for X-rays. I appreciated the heads up as we self insure this coverage.

I had some pain in my lower right molar. I did not have an appointment. After speaking with the office staff. they quickly set up an appoint for the next morning. Upon arrival Jessica met me, ushered me into to the dental area, took several X-rays brought Dr.Smith in who reviewed them. He indicated what the problem was, no infection was evident and the prescribed treatment could be done at home to relieve the problem. I could not be more happy with the outcome and the level of attention taken by all involved.

Dr. Smith's official is the impediment of professionalism! I had an horrible experience with an unsealed crown done by another doctor. He received and perform to me an miracle. I am battling pancreatic cancer for the third time. His staff and himself got in and fixed in no time. I would refer any of my friends and family to his pratice.

You performed a regular cleaning on me and then after the visit I informed you of my visit to the periodontist that you sent me to for bone loss. I assumed you knew since you sent me to dr hogan and I was surprised to hear my bone structure looked good because that’s why you sent me to dr. Hogan.why did you send me to him in the first place. 🤷‍♂️ Then you charged me and BCBSSC for a Perio maint cleaning visit when all you did was a regular cleaning because you didn’t know I had went to dr. Hogan. I have already called another dentist and I have reported the incident to BCBSSC because in my mind, charging BCBS and myself for a service you didn’t provide is fraud.

Ease of check in, have always got called on or before time. The staff are excellent and always smiling. Happy atmosphere ! Krystal is very pleasant and professional - one of the best in the business. Been seeing Dr. Smith for over a decade and love his pleasant and down to earth bedside demeanor. And the crown he build to cover two adjacent teeth with a lot of effort, more than a decade ago, stands strong to date!!

I was supposed to get my teeth cleaned then checked by Dr, Smith. I had only the cleaning because Dr. Smith wasn’t in the office that day. The hygienist said I didn’t have any cavities, but her diagnosis couldn’t be verified. My appointment should have been rescheduled. I had to take off work to do this so I’m not happy. I hope his office doesn’t bill the insurance company for both services.

I have been seeing Dr. Smith since the beginning of his practice and believe he is an excellent dentist and a truly wonderful human being. The staff is professional and kind and everybody really cares about the patients. Since my children were very young, they have never feared going to the dentist and actually look forward to it because "Dr. Bradford" and the staff always ask them about their lives and are genuinely interested. Dr. Smith take time to explain procedures and clearly keeps up with new treatment methods and technology. I would highly recommend his practice to anyone in need of a dentist.

I made a mistake and came on the wrong day. I had taken a day off from work to bring my kids in and I was supposed to go the next week. I was surprised when they squeezed my kids in. They didn’t have to and yet, they did. And then, they were so kind and nice about it. My kids LOVE going to the dentist. It’s fun for them. They really are a great group of people.

They are out of my insurance network so I discontinued going for awhile, but even after 5 years they treated me like family as if I never left. I been to multiple dentists since I moved to SC in 97. This office is hands down the best. Dr Smith actually cares and will answer any questions. He takes care of his patients. The hygienists, dental assistant and office staff is amazing. They even take my insurance which is a plus because all actual dentist offices do not. Commercial dentistry wasn't the way to go. My husband and I both go here and cannot recommend enough. We LOVE them.

Doctor Smith took an XRAY identified the problem, called in a prescription and let me know all would be OK. I went in to Doctor Smith's office this week and could not have been more pleased with his front office staff, his technicians and Doctor Smith. His office was well staffed and organized for a safe visit while coronavirus is still here. I noted that all staff had masks, all patients were required to wear a mask, wash their hands, get a temperature check and answer some key questions. Britany my technician was professional & courteous and very customer focused. After the cleaning she requested Doctor Smith to review her findings. Dr. Smith suggested that a mouthwash was needed to take care of some gum bleeding and fixed my dental appliance. I would recommend Doctor Smith and his staff to anyone in need of dental care. I appreciated the details to keep patients safe. I was very surprised when a construction worker from the road crew was allowed to come in and use your restroom. The seemed to negate everything that you had set up. I was very disappointed that a random person would be allowed to enter.

I am not one to complain at all but yesterday both myself and my eldest daughter had a very unpleasant experience with our hygienist, Darla. Darla was very, very rough with her cleaning and use of the scraper. She seemed impatient with her equipment on 3 occasions in the time I was there (the chair not working correctly for her, a water pic not working correctly and again the chair. She told me it looked as though I “chew on rocks” because my back molars are so broken down and they most likely needed crowns (which I never heard mentioned at all by Dr. Smith), and I confessed that I grind my teeth and clench my jaw with stress and I’ve been under a lot of stress lately. She asked if I could get “medicine,” to treat my stress, which I really felt was inappropriate for her to say. I also told Darla that the gum tissue behind my two front top teeth was very tender and swollen (and the bite of my lower teeth were making it worse). She dug into that sore gum with a sharp instrument and I saw stars! I believe she was looking for stray food or something caught under the gum...but perhaps she could have numbed the area a bit? I winced and made painful sounds when she dug into my gums with the floss. She seemed very edgy and not having a good day. I understand, that happens, but I wish she would have taken a break and not taken it out on my mouth. I do take care of my teeth and gums and there is no reason I should have had such pain and swelling that evening after my appointment from a routine cleaning. My daughter said she felt the same way after being her patient. My girls NEVER once have complained in the past about a dental trip. I still look forward to being a patient at this practice and I love the patience and care that I’ve received from everyone else at this practice.

The receptionists were pleasant and sweet. As I was on-time, so was my reception for my cleaning. But I had an unexpected and disappointing surprise. My scheduled hygienist took an earlier appointment and I was assigned someone new to me. Now I am a very principled sort of guy, and I wasn't pleased with the change. No reflection on the hygienist assigned to me at all. But when a man selects a particular barber to cut his hair, or a woman chooses a person she feels comfortable with doing her hair color and style, they want that person they were scheduled to see. The same with a person's favorite mechanic, doctor or a host of other things. What added to this disappointment is the (and I think way too many) emails that reminded me of my appointment with indeed my chosen hygienist. Now I freely admit I am overly particular who works on my teeth and so this was a big deal. The proper thing to do in this case would have been to contact me and offer me another appointment or at least get my advanced approval of the change. With all the emails and text messages I was getting about the need to not forget my appointment, it would have been considerate to have been notified there was going to be a change in my hygienist and would I like to keep the appointment or reschedule. This is no reflection on the hygienist who ultimately serviced me. She was a wonderful person and very patient and considerate. I am only suggesting that when it is requested that one keep one's appointment and be on time {late fee's applying in some cases}, that the same consideration be given to the selection of the hygienist one made and expected for that appointment. A timely call or opportunity to reschedule I believe would have been the considerate thing to do. This of course is a process problem. The dentist and staff are the best. I share this because I care and I hope Dr. Bradford and his staff can see that in what I have written. Why not be the very best when you can be.

Although, I normally don't like to go to a dentist, this is the only one that makes me feel relaxed and well taken off. I never had a bad experience. everybody is friendly, polite and professional.

I have been with Dr. Smith for atleast 17 years now. I am 34 and I love the growth of the practice. TV's on the ceiling, water in the lobby, a very cool faucet in the bathroom (which isn't so important, I guess but I like it) and very, very comfortable chairs to sit in while getting your teeth cleaned. Now the staff is another story! I love them to pieces! Everybody is very kind and willing to help when I come in. I feel like apart of the family, like I work there!!! They are always smiling, energetic and peaceful which is very important to me. I love the work atmosphere here. I am trying to tell everybody... this is your dentist if you are a peaceful, easy going and loving person! If not I am sure they will still clean your teeth. :)

He is astute, knowledgeable and not aggressive. If he wouldn't do something on his son or family, then he won't do it on yours. His staff are always growing in their knowledge also and continually adjusting their practice based on this.

Small mouth, sensitive gums and a perfectionist type personality. Being older, not ancient yet, I have had my years of teeth cleanings. I can honestly say my 'designated hygienist' is the best. She is so very careful with cleaning my teeth and using dental floss. I didn't think there was anyone who could floss my teeth with as much care as myself. I have always 'hated' the time for x-rays. You know those wafers that they put in your mouth, which to my small mouth seem like 4 x8 sheets of plywood? I won't get graphic, but let's say they don't want to stay in my mouth very long. My hygienist literally ran to snap the picture so I could get them out as soon as possible. That is someone who cares! It is a testimony to Dr. J. Bradford Smith Family and Cosmetic Dentistry for the ability to hire the very best. Speaking of the latter, Dr. Bradford wraps up your visit with a brief visitation and chat. It's not one of those ritual chats, but you can tell he wants to take as much time with you as you need. Going to the dentist isn't on my bucket list of most desirable things to do, but when I go to this office, I am confident in professionalism and great service.

The dentist and hygienist are very good at their job and no complaints on the treatment but my wait past my appointment time was at least 30 minutes and was closer to 45 minutes before being called back. I was not happy with the long wait and others were being taken back after sitting down for one minute. At least four people went back while I waited in the lobby.

Dr. Smith and his team were able to fit me in at the last minute. Everyone at the office was courteous and professional. The office is very clean. Dr. Smith determined it would be best for me to see an oral surgeon; the office staff went out of their way to set me up with an appointment the same day. An x-ray was taken and I was also given two prescriptions. Unfortunately, Midlands Oral (oral surgeon) is a total joke. I sat in the office for one hour and five minutes, then in an exam room for thirty five minutes before leaving. I just sat there. At no time, aside of when I was brought to the back, did anyone say anything about what would happen next. I never saw a nurse, assistant or dentist. I was in pain and in the middle of a work day. If this type of situation is the norm, time frame should be discussed. After leaving Midlands Oral totally unsatisfied and in pain, I found another dentist in Blythewood who took me in immediately. There were several patients already in the office. He performed the consultation, x-ray and tooth extraction in less than half the time spent between Dr. Smith's and Midlands Oral. The tooth was removed in one piece using local anesthetic. I was given two prescriptions. The problem is fixed and I feel great. Although I had a fine experience with Dr. Smith, it is tough for me not to question the use of the oral surgeon. However, I am no dentist and I won't try to question Dr. Smith's expertise on an online review. The office I was referred to, Midlands Oral, definitely flat out sucks and soured this whole deal. I missed out on basically an entire day of work while another professional accomplished everything I needed in one hour and fifteen minutes. I am fairly sure that the cost of the oral surgeon, on top of the cost of Dr. Smith, would've been roughly double the money I paid elsewhere, if not more. Because of these things I feel that I wasted my time and money.

Glad I was referred to Dr Bradford Smith. Been loving it every since. Went to a dentist which said I needed fillings, but decided to go to Dr Smith and turns out that I didn't need any fillings.
