So much turnover in this operation in the past several years. None of the same doctors are there, nor any of the staff as far as I can tell. I originally made an appointment and was called the day before it and told that Jansen Optical no longer took my insurance. I questioned it heavily but was told I was out of network now. So I cancelled my appointment. A few days later I checked my vision insurance provider website and found that Jansen was in fact an in-network provider. I called back and asked what was going on, and was told that "the system for verifying insurance fails sometimes". To which I said, "if you know that is an issue why in the world would you call a customer of 10+ years and tell them you couldn't take their insurance and send them into a panic???". The lady was completely unapologetic about it... frustrating experience. Anyway, I made another appointment and everything generally was fine with the experience. The doctor (Chu) who I hadn't seen before because they are all new doctors, was quite quick, interrupted me several times when I was talking... it seemed to me that she wanted to end the appointment as quickly as possible. I think that's frustrating for all patients; I only go to the eye doc once per year at the most, and I'd like to not be rushed and have the time I want/need with the doctor to ask questions, etc.

Dr. Hamissou and the staff at Jansen have taken good care of my family for many years. They manage to run a busy, efficient practice while still being pleasant and comfortable to be around. I'd recommend every time.

Dr. H is very knowledgeable and does a great job communicating why they do the tests they do and the state of your eye health. Everyone on staff is friendly and competent. I've been going here for 20 years (at least) and I drive 30 minutes to get here because they are that good!

I’m very happy that Jansen Optical takes care of my vision. Everyone, from the front desk to check out, is very friendly and professional. I met with Dr. Tran, for the first time, and really appreciated the time he took to explain each part of my eye exam. The help I got, saving money, on my new pair of reading glasses was outstanding. The person who helped me with my new glasses had a good understanding of my insurance and explained 2 different ways I could use my insurance to save money. I really appreciated that assistance.

Staff is friendly and intake process was timely. I checked “No” to have screening test for glaucoma, blood pressure etc. I was informed that because I was a new patient that screening was necessary but I would not be charged. I think I was charged for it.

We have an excellent experience with Dr. Sally since 2018, but the office staff is WORST. Especially two people. They are impaciente, rude and the most unfriendly people that we known. I don’t understand how they are still in business! The answers about questions 5,6,7 and 8 refer only a doctor.

I had prep work for getting my eyes checked & an Rx for contacts for the next year. I always give a week before ordering the contacts & am having some problems with them. I loved the staff, the vibe of the office and even the doctor's sense of humor! I felt safe and comfortable in a situation that normally makes me very anxious. I got an extensive eye examination and even got to see some of the results myself with explanations of what I was seeing. Aloes, they have a great selection of glasses and fair pricing.

The doctor was very thorough in her examination of my eyes, and was very nice. She explained to me what was going on. She also was willing to add me to her list of patients for the day, even though she was booked for the day. This came on real fast, so I was very concerned about my eyes, so I really appreciated her doing that! Everyone was very nice and helpful!

I was scheduled with the wrong doctor. I have been seeing Dr. Hammasu for years and I requested my appointment be with her when I called to schedule the appointment. However, on the day of my exam i found out that the person who scheduled the appointment scheduled me with the wrong doctor. Dr. Chu was very nice and the visit was fine but I would just have preferred to see the same dr I have always seen.

I had a sudden change in my vision and Dr. Hamissou squeezed me into her schedule the same day as I called (I suspect she gave up her lunchtime). Her exam was thorough, she calmed me down, and sent in a referral to a specialist.

The best! When I leave Jansen Optical I'm left with the feeling that my time was well spent. Each of them listens to every word said and has just the right answers. It might be a new prescription, or an adjustment to my glasses, but I feel I've accomplished something by the time my visit is finished.

Time to get a routine appointment was a little long but the in-office wait was more of a problem. First appointment for an exam was more than 2 weeks out and I was not seen until 20 minutes after my appointment time. Doctor and staff were polite and friendly but I just couldn't get an explanation of my multiple prescriptions that made sense and I asked several times. I'm not confident at all in the prescriptions since I can't get clear answers about the differences between the numbers on each. Time to get an appointment for a possible eye infection on the other hand was same day and the office handles the different insurances for vision and medical for me.

Dr Hammissou is beyond the regular run of the mill Optometrist. She is a problem solver and is up to date on latest eye technology. I have several eye issues and she will address (and SOLVE) each one! The staff is very respectful with your private information and will make glass shopping fun!

Not going to lie, I was a little nervous about this appointment. I was a patient of Dr. Jansen for quite a while. Dr. Jansen retired and my appointment was with Dr. Hamissou. I considered finding a doctor closer to home. When my appointment was over, I could not have been more pleased. Dr. Hamissou was thorough and personable. I will be sticking with Jansen Optical for the foreseeable future.

I love Dr. Jansen. Cheryl has been seeing me for years and I am so happy she had me do laser surgery back in 2000. She even held my hand during the surgery. She is truly one of the best doctors I have ever had. She really listens to her patients and she makes you feel very comfortable.
