Very well run practice. Staff is very nice and the 3 doctors I have seen are caring and skilled. They take the time to answer questions and explain what is being done. I get ongoing treatment for glaucoma and thanks to their care it has been stable for many years. My vision is important and I'm glad I chose this practice.

Excellent personalized care from a doctor who knows who you are. Here's a suggestion: I had a cataract in one eye replaced a few years ago. Excellent results. In the last couple years some haze developed in that eye - not even annoying except to drive at night with oncoming headlights. Posterior Capsulotomy was recommended a couple years ago, but I didn't feel I had enough information to justify a procedure I didn't know enough about, for a condition that really didn't bother me: What was the procedure and how does it work? How long does it take? Recovery? Potential side effects? Finally he gave me a brochure that explained the procedure. Now I have enough knowledge and the procedure is scheduled next week.

Dr. Biletsky is the most professional and thorough optometrist I have ever met. I have been to several eye doctors over the past 50 years and Dr. Biletsky is the best. His explanations are clear and understandable and he takes the time to listen and respond to concerns. He offers plans going forward and what to look for in any vision changes I may experience. I have taken my husband, who never needed glasses, to him and he also has the same opinion. We cannot recommend Dr. Biletsky highly enough.

Upon meeting the staff, I felt at ease, immediately attended to me until I went inside the room. I was seen by Dr. Krespan. She is an accommodating, nice Dr. I felt comfortable. I was quite pleased with this visit. I felt my experience of getting a routine exam was very good. Everyone I encountered in the process was friendly and helpful, and the process was streamlined. It was nice not to be asked for the same information from different people, and I could tell that the Dr. read the notes provided. This was a new Dr. for me this visit, and I found him to be a good blend of personal and professional- asking relevant questions about my life/lifestyle pertaining to my vision and use of glasses & contacts. I would heartily recommend anyone needing the services of an excellent eye doctor to make an appointment with Dr. Jahnle. I appreciate the professionalism combined with the personal interest and attention that he gives to my condition as well as his kindness and patience in answering all my questions. Any concerns were quickly allayed and I left that day feeling optimistic and comfortable. The staff is exceptional and while I didn't catch the name of the woman who tested my eyes that day, I have to say that she was so wonderful and personable that it just made my day to chat with her and to be treated with such kindness! Thanks to everyone for such a positive experience!

Both the doctors and the staff are always courteous, kind, and helpful. The reason for the 3 stars is I don't very often recommend because people don't always take opinions kindly and I think they wish I'd mind my own business.

Dr Mekel as usual is phenomenal. He takes his time explains what he’s will be performing , what he thinks would be beneficial, and is a great mentor to the staff. The receptionist at the riddle office who was sitting between jason and the young blond with wavy hair was extremely unprofessional. Her desk was the one to the left of the office. She had brown hair. My first encounter was her yelling across the room to ask if I was checking in, and asked me from across the room my name and D.O.B. When she asked me to come to her desk, she was condescending when speaking to me, and when I finally spoke up , she looked at her co worker Justin ( I believe that was his name) twice and rolled her eyes at me. I even apologized and said I was not trying to give attitude , but found her very unprofessional. I also heard her call me a name when I walked away to the girl with the blonde curly hair who was siting to her right. When she was checking me she complained that she had to use the restroom , but it was so busy since the bus dropped all these patients off. Her exact words. The receptionist in the very front who had pinkish hair , who was extremely kind asked for this girl help, and in front of the patients gave her an attitude. When I was in the exam room, I overheard her complain in the hallways to the worker with the foot boot on how she got involved with something that she shouldn’t have been involved in the first place. She said she didn’t take the call, and the patient showed up , and requested a service that “ now she’s involved in.” I overheard the whole conversation about the gentleman who requested paperwork . This is not the normal Environment that I experience in Havertown , but I do understand that the office at Riddle was extremely busy that day. My appointment was Wednesday , the 9 th in the afternoon. I am also a MLH employee , and on the fundraiser board for riddle . I was brought on by Mrs Saleski.

Upon entering the office I was greeted by a pleasant, professional and respectful receptionist. Unlike other doctor offices I was seen exactly at my scheduled appointment time. I was examined by Dr. Richard Jahnle who provided not only a thorough examination but took the time to provide an in-depth easily understood diagnosis and afforded me the opportunity to ask and have all questions answered. Although it was my first visit Dr.Jahnle and his Staff treated me as person and not a patient. There was an unprecedented atmosphere of caring, that should serve as an example to the medical profession of how to treat individuals.

I felt that your technician, doc and staff were extremely courteous and efficient. The exam was very thorough, much more so than exams I have had in the past at other ophthalmology location. So I was impressed with the amount of time allotted and the extent of exam. The eye drops were also different as I never had two different types of drops. I always had the drops that took 15 minutes to take effect only. I did note, however, that it took the 4-6 hours for the drops to wear off, and since yesterday was very bright and sunny the outside light really bothered my eyes. Today they feel fine. Dr. Krespan did tell me that the drops could last that long, but I had never experienced the light bothering my eyes like it did yesterday

I took my 8-year-old daughter to see Dr. Mekel. We first met with an optometric technician, then Dr. Mekel, and finally the optician for glasses. Everyone spoke appropriately and on the right level with a child. Eye exam was comprehensive and facility was clean. I have also been seen there by a different optometrist but I really liked Dr. Mekel for a younger child. After the eye exam, we were provided with a referral for a pediatric ophthalmologist for a condition beyond the scope of general ophthalmology.

Staff were all polite, helpful, and knowledgeable, and made sure all information was communicated well. There was some waiting during the appointment, as the doctor was being pulled in all different directions, but that's to be expected. Dr. Meckel was helpful and respectful. My prescription was given to me at the end of the appointment, and although a small boutique with a professional fitter was available, nobody tried to pressure me to order new glasses from that location. This alone, to me, warrants a high rating and recommendation.

I am very disappointed with the service. My son had check-up appointment scheduled for 25th of July. That day we picked two pairs of glasses ( one pair fro every day wearing and the second one for playing sports). We were told that the glasses will be ready in 5-10 business days, which I mentioned it was important due to my son was going back to college August 24th. In around 10 days from the service, I received the message that second pair for some reasons cannot be done ( technical issues). The staff offered to stop by in the clinic again, to pick another pair.. The first pair was ready, but no phone call to let me know.. We stopped at the clinic August 15th, and I mentioned that it was very important to receive the second pair before my son leaves for college.. The staff member mentioned that she would rush the order.. nothing happened.. the second pair was not ready, no even courtesy call... my son left for college without second pair for sports.. the glasses were ready 26th... too late.. I picked them up without my son trying them on.. I am very disappointed, and next year we will NOT return for annual check up and ordering new glasses...

I stopped coming to,this practice years ago because of the long wait time for an appointment and then the super long wait times in the waiting room on the appointment date. When I recently had a need for an ophthalmologist, I tried this practice again and was extremely pleased with the changes. I only had to wait a week and a half to be seen and no long wait in the waiting room. It was very efficient and I appreciated the fact that they aren’t wasting the patient’s time anymore. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. That was a real game changer for me. Everyone on the staff was so courteous, friendly and very thoughtful. Just nice people all around. I’ll definitely be back.

From the moment I entered the reception area through the completion of my surgery everyone was professional, thorough in their areas of responsibility and especially pleasant in their attitudes towards me, the patient. Dr, Jahnle reputation as one of the preeminent practitioners of Cataract Surgery was obvious in his pre/post meetings and actual Surgical process, which was much less stressful and pain free than I had anticipated. His manner and description of the problem diagnosed was conversational and very informative, communicating comfortably in layman's terms easy understandable. I recommend him and the practice with no equivocation.

I was greeted by your friendly receptionist, and only had to wait a few minutes until I was then to the testing room for a field of vision test. The testing was explained very thoroughly and the staff person, whose name I do not remember, sorry :( , helped with all of the testing requirements.
