The only reason I didn’t give the experience a 1 was that the lens associate was very nice and helpful. But the optometrist did not address any of my concerns with the comfort of my contacts and hardly acknowledged it at all besides asking what brand I wear and when I showed him the box that I have the only acknowledgment was that the box was only my left contacts. There was no suggestion of trying a trail with a different brand or seeing how my contacts are laying on my eye to try and solve the comfort issues.

The appointment was on time, the staff was very efficient and helpful, and I appreciated all the ultra-modern machines that tested everything pertinent to my eye health. I was very relieved not to have to have my eyes dilated, or do the old-fashioned glaucoma test. Everything is up to date in the office, and Dr Muto was kind and helpful.

Check in was easy and quick. Person at the desk was friendly. Person who did tests on the equipment was very friendly, kind and encouraging. She was very efficient. I found the young girl at the receptionist desk asking for my information to be condescending to me with her instructions as if I was in the third grade. She has this little speech on how to fill out the forms and will not take a breath to answer a question until she is finished. Her voice is also too loud as if she is making a speech and also has an irritating tone as if she is addressing a six year old. I told the only true adult behind the reception desk who took my payment information upon leaving how I felt but already know the person in question will only be upset because she doesn't have a clue how she comes across or she would not use that tone, use those words, and be more in tune with the needs of the person standing in front of her.

Very disappointed. Will be looking for a new eye care clinic after many years there. I felt like I was in a tornado with the goal to spit me out the front door faster than I arrived. Didn't get the glasses I wanted and didn't feel the tests were valid as they were punching me through so fast. You guys need to review the number of patients you are trying to push through in one day and determine if it is beneficial to focus on throughput or thoroughness. I would have given you a zero star but it won't let me deselect that last star.

I suddenly experienced a visual distortion in my left eye, like looking at a kaleidoscope. I called Idaho Eye Care and went in. Wonderful experience. Family office feel - two sons took over the practice from their dad. The office staff were the most helpful I've encountered at a doctor's office (explaining what's covered by my insurance up front, even helping to schedule a specialist appt. on my behalf after my appt.). The vision technology was more advanced than all the eye doctors I've seen previously (incorporating colors and dual vision). I saw Dr. Derek Muto who was extremely knowledgeable and patient.

I feel like the person doing the pictures and testing should wipe and disinfect the instruments in front of the patient. I asked if they disinfected their instruments and she said she did, but I didn't feel confident over this. They also did not take a prescription reading from my glasses. I felt the appointment was a little rushed.

I was looking for a new doctor in the area and came across IEC on the list of providers and since it was close to my home I gave it a shot. Thanks for the eye check up! It's been years. Far too long. I can't remember the front desk person's name but she was really nice and did some eye tests for me. My favorite was the one that was like a video game where you had to push the button when you saw the squiggles. Dr Matthew Muto was also great. Kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. The young woman who did my pre-exam seemed distracted. Also, she has a small voice and was very hard to hear. Additionally, when I could here her, she talked so fast I couldn't make sense of anything she was saying. It is so nice to visit your office as you listen and hear me when I am describing my issues with my gas permeable contacts. I believe that changing the prescription in my left eye will solve my problem since I have permanent lenses in my eyes after cataract surgery and they were mono lenses which is making a correct fit difficult. I have been to three different eye clinics in the past 5 years, none of these clinics compare to the quality of care from Dr Muto's office. Both my husband and I go to Idaho Eye Care Center. I am seen by Dr Derick Muto, my husband is seen by another doctor in this office during the same appointment time. We both are happy with the expertise and level of care by both doctors and their staff. We also like the quality of eye products they provide. My eyeglass RX is strong and I am particular about the quality of my lenses. I have found the lab used by this clinic to be consistent and trouble free. I always have found great eyeglass frames suited for my high RX and fit me perfectly. There is no pressure sale's tactics. I trust the staff to help me select eyeglass frames for me and my husband, they are honest with their opinions and knowledgeable. The doctors are conservative with their treatment plans. We feel cared for by top-notch doctors and staff. Super friendly and always pleasant! We could not have found a better eye care clinic.

Idaho Eyecare got me in to see Dr. Sexauer on short notice because my vision was degrading faster than before. He was pleasant, professional, and quickly isolated my issue. I have a cataract in my right eye that is causing my difficulty. We discussed the next steps and he had the office schedule me for an evaluation at an eye surgeon next week. I'm very happy with the way this was all done and with the people I interacted with in the office.

The staff is friendly and helpful with their part of the exam, and with contacts and glasses fittings. I appreciate that they have a retinal camera so I don't have to have my eyes dilated.

Very friendly staff and will always do whatever they can to help you. From scheduling all the way to payment. First, their schedules are all booked up but they will call you if they see any empty or sudden cancellation. Toni is really considerate and try to help me with by providing me a free pair of contact lens since my appointment is far out as I my glasses were broken after many long years used. The doctor provide a very detail explanation to me whenever I have questions. Victoria helped on selecting the right lenses and explained it very clearly of what I needed and what I don't needed. Megan helped me with a very smooth check out since this is my first time using my HSA benefits. Thank you very much!

I was very disappointed when Dr. Muto entered the room for my exam without a mask. I thought he may have just forgotten, so I asked about it and he said masks were “optional”. I was taken aback and let him know a mask is not optional for me, especially in a “medical” environment where the doctor sees many people each day and has to be very close face to face for the exam. Dr. Muto did put on a mask and continue the exam which I appreciated. However, given the current state of the pandemic, and CDC guidance, I think in a clinic setting, that masks should be the default. If a patient and doctor agree they are ok to remove masks, that is questionable (to me), but better than default mask off. I will likely not return to Idaho Eyecare Center. Either the staff does not believe in science, don’t care about protecting the health of their fellow Idahoans, or are just trying to make a bold political statement. I don’t know which of these is the case, but I can’t put my eyecare or overall health in the hands of people who operate under these conditions. I get that there are a lot of different opinions about how to deal in this pandemic, but I don’t want to have to deal with this at an eye doctor visit. If CDC is wrong about masks, everybody has one and nobody passes it around the office. If CDC is right, Idaho Eyecare Center is potentially passing the virus around and prolonging this situation for everyone. Right or wrong, I default to the safe side…

Awesome access, plenty of parking space. Walked into a nice clean reception area, and was promptly greeted by a cheerful young lady. Got quickly checked in, and sat down to wait. A few minutes passed and I hear my name called, so off to the back I go. A very polite and knowledgeable technician ran the tests, explaining each as we went through them. Finished the tests, moved to a waiting room, a few minutes later the Doctor comes in. Once again, super polite and knowledgeable, as he explains the results. In the end, this experience was simply the best ever!
