Always very nice staff and clean even with construction right now

The staff & doctor were so wonderful & supportive of my elderly mother for this exam. I give them 5 stars!! The four star rating is because of the construction going on at the Costco Norwalk where this doctor's office is located. Unfortunately we were misdirected around the inside & outside of the store by Costco employee's trying to find the temp trailer where the dr's office is now located. There were no signs anywhere at the front of the store indicating where the trailer was!!! We were very late trying to find parking & then trying to find the trailer! The ramp going into the trailer is very long, steep & winding ... not great for elderly folks. Hopefully they will complete the construction soon, because it definitely is not somewhere I want to return to any time soon. Let me finish by saying the doctor & staff are not to blame for this situation ... they were really wonderful to work with!!!

Dr. Kathleen was amazing and had checked my eyes for strain due to my new job on the computer. The whole appointment took about 30 minutes and I walked out with a new glasses prescription and eye drop recommendations for dryness. I will come back for future eye exams :)

I love the services from Costco Optical is practical and convenient for me as a member and my insurance covers a good portion of the costs. Regardless when I didn’t have insurance these were cost friendly for optical services back then before the pandemic. It’s still excellent and promo service.

Excellent as Always. Dr. Au takes the time to explain and provide best eye care during the exam. During my visit she point out a concern that needed immediate attention by a specialist. Dr. Referred me out to my provider and my appointment was set in a couple of days because my provider was closed on the on the weekend. That’s the type of Dr. you want taking care of your vision.

Great service. My appointment was at 12 noon, I was seen at 12 noon. Exam was quick, the optometrist explained exam in detail and answered all my questions. Great price on the glasses, I got two pairs for $190.00 (I was paying $300 for one pair with my previous provider).

My son was seen by the Female optometrist doctor. I am so sorry, I forgot her name. But she was amazing with him. She was so patient with him. We tried the contact program they have, where the nurses teach you how to take off and put in, we stayed there for about 2 hours. very patient office. The doctor also gave us a couple of pairs of contacts for my son to try for a few days.

The online appointment reservation is a waste of time. I made what I thought was an appointment but come to find out the day off it was only an appointment request and no one reached out to me or sent me a notification. In addition to that I was sent a reminder to set up and appointment but it was before my insurance would even cover the service. The actual doctor service was great as always.

Dr. Au took great care with me today. She was very diligent in finding the "perfect fit" for me with my contact lenses. The young lady who helped me when I came in was also very patient, understanding and caring as I had a bit of a problem finding a place to park and was a bit flustered and late for my appointment. Dr.Owl made my experience so much better! she was very helpful in answering my questions and concerns that I had. Recently was involved in a vehicle accident and due to some concerns about my vision, she made sure to go deeper and taking extra tests to confirm that my vision is healthy. She also took the time to teach me about the different contact lenses that were best appropriate for me. Although the staff was friendly, I would prefer a more professional and more attentive to the patients that came in the office and had questions during my visit.

I felt so much better after I visited your office. The doctor I saw was very thorough, knowledgeable and kind. Not being able to see well and not knowing why can be exhausting. However, she found I had growing cataracts and gave me hope that in about a year I could have them removed. It is very comforting to have a diagnosis with a positive outcome in the future. She also helped me find the right contacts for dry eyes. It was a really great visit.

I went in more than an hour before my scheduled appointment since my daughter also had an appointment. Much to my surprise, I was taken in right after my daughter. I wasn't made to wait for my scheduled time. I appreciate that the staff was considerate of my time. Everybody was friendly and helpful. All in all, it was a great experience.

it was my first time, I waited maybe 40 mins when I had made an appointment that was the only bad part. the Dr was very kind and gave the best service ever! she told me about the health of each eye and how I can help take care of them, gave me the best news ever that I don't need glasses . she was young and pretty and knew a lot about me with out telling her anything ,she knew I scratched my eyes a lot and how not taking off my eye makeup can hurt my eyes. she is smart no other DR asked me that . I loved it!!! my son has an appointment ,I know I am sticking with this place for sure.

Unfortunately, Dr. Pearl was not available... However, Dr. Nicole Chang was able to see me at my scheduled appointment and she was wonderful and made me feel absolutely comfortable and at ease. The staff was nice. I do recommend making an appointment so as to not have to wait long. I scheduled an appointment and my wait time was like 5 minutes.

Will not be returning! Every year I have to re-schedule because staff does not feel like they need to verify when my insurance is set. Every year they tell me that I’m not covered until days later but yet they don’t call and cancel until I’m at the office

Great visit. I’m happy because my vision is only a little worse. I am learning how to stave off macular degeneration and learning why it’s a bit harder for me to drive at night. New contacts and new lenses will help me out. The doctor was very nice, kind and knowledgeable.

Was not aware of new Machine used for Imaging. I have VSP Insurance for over 17 years.. The additional $20 was a surprise to me.. we were able to see image every year prior.. it was hard for a family of 4 to have the $20 fee tackled on top. Will inform my insurance about it .. or may need to go elsewhere where my insurance does cover imaging.

My visit with Dr. Sarah Blackwelder was the best visit ever. I had what I thought was a very serious problem and even wondered if I was going blind. She took the time to examine every avenue possible to figure out my problem. She did conclude it was not as serious as I thought and corrected my temporary problem. I was met immediately, and after preliminary tests went direct in to see Dr Pearl. Very thorough exam and he took the time to explain all procedures, what the computer images meant. I felt very informed after i left the office.

As always getting my eyes examined, here at Dr Pearl's Optometrist's Office, in Norwalk, Ca., where it's so conveniently located in the Costco Warehouse Complex. I like the thoroughness of the examining process. My preferences are always asked for, and given to me, with useful information relevant to my choice, and kept in my profile with forward thinking discretion.

I specifically made an appointment for contact lenses and was only attended for glasses so I had to be seen and wait for the doctor twice. The contact lenses I was provided with don’t help my vision at all and I cannot see. I was not informed that it may take a few different pairs to get the right fit or prescribed contacts for me to see properly, now I have to wait an additional 3 weeks to see if I will be able to see properly with contact lenses.

Needed a annual eye exam due to my insurance coverage giving me issues, walked in didn't have an appointment and was seen within 15 mins. Staff was friendly and super professional, there was an issue with a rude gentleman reasoning his voice and front desk still kept their composure. Way to go girls! Doctor was amazing and made everything comfortable.

Make sure you make an appointment, or you will be here a while if you walk-in. It's a tight spot, they check your vision in front of everybody so it's kind of uncomfortable. Only two little rooms. I didn't get a single smile from any of the staff. Customer service could be a lot better. It's good if you don't expect excellent customer service.

It was easy and quick to get an appointment. Two days later when I called back to accommodate my friend Betty with an appointment next to mine the receptionist was able to get our appointments within the same hour. The eye examination with Dr. Pearl was thorough, professional, and all our questions were answered. I have had my eyes examined, every year, by Dr Pearl since 2014 and I am very pleased by his knowledge and courteous treatment.
