Dr. Gray runs a very nice practice and all of her staff are very friendly and do their jobs well. Her office is conveniently located and is very pleasant inside. They seem to run on time and I have never waited long for my appointments.

The overall design of your facility puts my mind at ease the moment I walk in the door. Your receptionist is very attentive and friendly. I’ve been going to Dr. Gray for 20 years. In my first appointment she found a defect in my right eye. She sent me to a specialist in Ashland, Oregon who corrected the problem. If Dr. Gray had not found that defect I would have gone blind in that eye. She was also my wife’s doctor. My wife was an invalid and had trouble communicating. Dr. Gray was so kind and understanding of her problem. She treated my wife with such respect. I drive 1 1/2 hours to her office. There are many ophthalmologists within 15 minutes of my home. As long as I can drive or have somebody drive me I will go to Dr. Gray.

As I entered I was greeted immediately and cheerfully. I had no wait to check in and was called to exam almost immediately. The technicians doing the refraction exam were extremely caring and went beyond normal to ensure accuracy. Dr. Gray was welcoming and encouraging, did exam promptly, shared results with me and away I went. Very professional and enjoyable.

After the last two appointments (One year apart) I contracted Blethritis (sp?). I was prescribed a cream that corrected condition eventually. This condition is very painful & causes the eyelids to swell, turn red and itche badly. I my be allergic to some of the eye drops they use.

It was a very nice experience when I went to see Dr. Gray. As soon as you walk in the door, the lobby is beautiful, with a friendly receptionist. The lady who walked me back to do all of the measuring and having me read letters and such, was also very kind and knowledgeable. And of course Dr. Gray is very professional and she covered everything I needed answers to. She’s also a very nice person and you can tell she cares about her patients.

Service was timely, thorough and welcome and the low score is not about that. My families provider, Dr. Erickson, is leaving the practice. When my husband had his annual appointment, he was signed up to switch over to Dr Grey's practice, but my daughter and I were not and told to call back every few months to see if a new provider has joined the practice or if Dr Grey has availability. I would like to see the same provider as my husband and this is the only practice on Roseburg taking our insurance. So it's a little frustrating to have to with at being allowed continuous care.

My eyes needed to be dilated for an exam. I asked if I could drive after the exam. The response was my upclose vision was compromised but driving would be ok. By the time I left my eyes were still dilated. My vision was impaired by the glare of the day. I drove home but it wasn't comfortable. I had to hold my hand up to reduce the light and tried to squint to clarify my vision. It's my opinion that clients with dilated eyes should have a driver to get them home after the appointment.

Yesterday was my first visit to Dr. Gray's office. She, and her associates, will be my eye care professionals from here on out. I arrived at Dr. Gray's office a few minutes before my appointment. The front desk folks were friendly and made me feel welcome. The young lady who helped me was very happy that I had downloaded and completed my paperwork ahead of time. My appointment began with another young woman who conducted some tests on my eyes. She was friendly and professional. She engaged me in chit-chat which I always appreciate. I prefer my medical professionals to be friendly and not rigid. Dr. Gray was the next to see me. I went to high school and college with Dr Gray. She has always been exceptionally bright and friendly. She answered my questions and took the time to listen to my thoughts and concerns. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Gray, and she will definitely be my eye doctor from here forward.

Almost everything was great about my visit except that my eyes were dilated and I was sent out the door without any eye protection. This caused serious issues in my driving ability to see. This could have caused an accident but thankfully I made it home safely.

The office/store area was impressive. I didn't quite expect it. Though the receptionist/intake lady was a tad stiff, almost impersonable. Professional, but not really welcoming. I was totally offended by the first sheet of paper that covered the mask BS. You people put way too much emphasis on the mask wearing and covid 19 scare tactics. It was quite obvious that your company is totally uninformed about the masks and covid. Good Lord, how long must this BS continue? Show me one peer reviewed study that shows masks prevent you from contracting a virus, any virus. Show me one study that shows covid virus has been isolated and proven to exist. Ok, anyway, the young lady that did the testing on my eyes was personable enough and I enjoyed her interaction with me. When putting in the dilation solution, she didn't tell me how long it would take for it to work before the Dr. would be in to see me. I almost had an instant headache after she put the drops in, though I didn't get a headache, there was a tightness felt. Then I was surprised that Dr. Gray did not attend me, but some other doctor. He also was not very personable, but there to do a job. Stiff and very formal. Geez, what's going on in this office? The feeling was like I was in a production line. Get them in and get them out. Like everyone is a number, not a real person. Or is this the treatment people who are on OHP receive? Private insurance holders are welcomed. The salesman for eyeglasses was nice and personable, but seemed to assume that as a OHP holder, that I was only able to afford the "budget" selection of frames. At $200 for the script and frames, I don't' consider that "budget" friendly. Of course I haven't had to buy glasses for 30+ years, so I guess $200 is supposed to be reasonable. I actually need several pairs, but I wasn't expecting that price tag, so I'll have to wait a month before purchasing a second pair. I will need to do some price shopping before I commit to buying from your store again.

Overall this was a better experience than the last eye doctor I went to in town. But I felt that since I was receiving text updates about the upcoming appointment it would have been nice to also let me know that I need to bring my current set of glasses to the appointment along with notifying me that my eyes would be dilated so I could have arranged for someone to take me. Also since your vision is not at its best after being dilated, frames should be picked out before this, that way you can actually see what you are going to be wearing for the next year. Also the tech doing my exam touched several pieces of equipment including the computer keyboard and mouse without any hand hygiene and then touched my eyes. Just some opportunity for improvement. My glasses have not arrived yet so I cannot speak about the quality of the frames or lenses.

The woman at the front desk was unpleasant. Either she was having a bad day or is just not a good person to be the 1st & last experience in the office. When she asked who was primary on my insurance & I said that I didn't know, she gave me a what-kind-of-idiot-are-you look. I explained that my husband & I are both self-employed & that sometimes he's primary & sometimes I'm primary. I suggested that whoever is listed first on my card is primary. Additionally, the male Dr (can't remember his name ...not even sure he introduced himself) didn't even mention if I needed glasses. When I was checking out, the lady at the front desk asked if I wanted to meet with one of the optometrists (or whoever the people in the front near the glasses are) & I was like "do I need glasses, the Dr didn't mention the word glasses even once when I was in my appointment. With that said, the woman who I was first, the one that does all of the "1 or 2" & other vision tests, was very pleasant. Honestly, I didn't know that she wasn't the eye doctor until some guy came in. Definitely won't be returning unless I see Dr Gray.

I was unimpressed with the service that I received on my visit. The woman who helped me hardly spoke to me nor did she explain that she would be doing most of the exam not the Doctor that I had made an appointment with. I was somewhat confused. My other eye Doctor always did the whole exam. I would expect that with a new patient you would explain how their operation worked. Very dissappointed. The doctor himself was nice he spent about 10 minutes with me checking out my eyes and then moved on. When I went to look at glasses no one approached me to see if I needed any help I walked around for about 10 minutes then left.

We scheduled an appointment for contacts months ago. When we arrived, the office was clean and looked nice. The receptionist was helpful at first. My 13yo daughter was taken back and I chose not to go, however I asked later to go back because I was concerned they weren’t doing a contact lens exam. I was told by the receptionist that she’d let them know, which led me to believe the appointment was not scheduled as requested. It spiraled downward from there. My 13yo had her eyes dilated without my permission, I was told I couldn’t go back with my minor child due to covid, and she left with no contacts, no glasses, and we were told she couldn’t even receive them until they talked to her previous eye dr about what lenses she’s tried in the past. I’ve worn contacts and glasses for 35 years and have never had an eye dr not give me contacts because they didn’t have a note from a precious doctor. And further, I scheduled a contact exam and if that’s what was needed, they should have contacted previous dr themselves prior to our appointment. I even rescheduled to get her in sooner and explained that her glasses broke and she needed contacts right away so she could see. I was repeatedly told they couldn’t give us anything, but then after returning for a print out of her glasses rx to purchase some elsewhere, they called 10 Minutes later to tell me “we found a pair of contacts she can have. Does she know how to put them in, because we can’t help her.” I do not recommend this place at all, sadly. I’m sure the doctors are great and I was excited about an ophthalmologist rather than an optometrist but due to the front desk staff, I will not return.

This office is truly a team. Not only do I get top of the line medical from the doctor and assistants but the billing and reception team works like a machine but stays kind. The frame fitters are the best I have ever worked with and I am 48, so that means quite a lot. This was the first time since leaving Michigan 7 years ago that I felt I had accomplished more by visiting an ophthalmologist than if I'd stayed home and watched Seinfeld reruns. And I'm not particularly critical of healthcare staff. It was also the first time in 7 years I was certain I didn't know as much about diabetic eye problems as the doctor. The staff was great, too. The woman who gave me the vision test was knowledgeable and thorough. The worker who conducted the angiogram (or whatever the term is for the pictures she took) was obviously still in training, but the results were crystal clear. I'm so glad a couple of continuing patients of Dr. Gray recommended her to me.

The male Doc was not great...I don’t think I would go back to him. Very impersonal! No personality at all! Just ok....the person assisting me with picking out glasses was just ok too. I am trying to find another eye doctor. It was difficult to schedule an appointment after I received a reminder that I was due for a check up. Unanswered phone calls. No call back. I was shuffled off to a new doctor when I finally got an appointment. He had no knowledge about my eye history. He didn’t even know if I wore glasses.

I was turned away from my appt for being 7 mins late, after I stood at the desk for a couple minutes watching the front desk clerk act a nervous wreck. When I came back for my reschedule, the receptionist was the same; muttering to herself, abrupt and rude. She didn’t relay to hold the glasses I’d picked, even though I asked her to, so the frames were sold to someone else. My exam was completed by a tech; the only thing the doctor did was look at my retina. The tech was exceptional! But I’ve never had one do my vision exam before? The doctor was nice and gave me time after the exam, but didn’t really take the time to greet me.

Treated very well. Anxious to get glasses. Dr. very nice. However, I was asked by Dr. Wang to get small cataract checked for removal so he could do surgery to close a hole in my eye and improve my vision. Apparently no notes were left by Dr. Wang to that effect. I feel a little at a loss as to next steps. I will see Dr. Wang the end of October.

My appointment the other day went fine, but my GF had an appointment for an exam today, and I went along because she wanted my input picking out frames after the eye exam. I waited in the waiting room for 2 and 1/2 hours, and then the only person in the whole place who could help with frames was on vacation, so I wasted my time even coming. We waited 6 months to get this appointment, and could not get the services we expected. I waited 2.5 hours in the shop, not including 45 minutes each way, when I should have been at work. Tis was after having to wait 6 months to get in. I am thoroughly upset.

I love this office, I have been going here for a long time. It takes a while to get an appointment scheduled, but you know you are getting quality care. I hope your receptionist documents when patients are yelling at her, because it was hard to listen to someone screaming at her. She was so sweet and handled it very patiently.

My appointment was because of vision problems since a surgery (different MD on my nose and cosmetic eye surgery) and bumps in the corner of my eye. The bumps were clogged pores. Dr. Grey fixed that in seconds. But other than talking about dry eye and to mention that I have considerable nerve damage, we didn't talk about my vision problems or eye pain. I didn't leave with any information about if I could help my vision problems or pain.

Dr. Gray is very professional while being warm and friendly. The exam was very thorough and, in addition to my eye exam, she took all the time I needed in addressing a few other concerns. The staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The optical department staff is also professional, knowledgeable and very helpful in choosing the right glasses and has a huge variety of frames from which to choose. I'm very pleased with my experiences there!

I would have liked to receive more information on the procedure and on what would happen afterwards; i.e., that I would be having a "post surgery" appointment --- I never heard those words. I just thought it was an annual appointment. As a consequence, I needed new lens for both my regular glasses and my sun glasses --- to a tune of $568. First of all, we would never have come to this office had our own physiatrist been in town. The only real positive is that we were kindly given a same-day appointment. At the office, we waited for 90 minutes to be seen. First being placed in a room for the tech, then asked to wait 30 more minutes in another hallway chair and then finally waited more in our actual exam room. Dr.Myers never even acknowledged my husband’s presence at the bedside. Exam was terribly quick, less than 10 minutes; it felt rushed and not thorough. It was our first and last visit to this ophthalmology office. Front desk secretary was really the only nice person we encountered.

Dr. Gray is not my regular practitioner, because when I moved back to Roseburg and needed an eye doctor, I opted for a family member's doctor. He is a tough act to follow, and I'm a loyal patient, so I won't be switching. But that said, Dr. Gray was the on-call doctor during a recent emergency when my practitioner was out of town, and her office worked me in right away. Her staff put me at ease, as did Dr. Gray. She explained everything thoroughly and ensured I went away knowing exactly what happened and what followup would be required. We are fortunate to have a doctor of her caliber in Roseburg.

This team is AMAZING! I went to see Dr. Myer for an emergency eye problem. She was fantastic and the team have an amazing bedside manner. I love this place and this staff. She is not my regular Dr. But I'm hoping to change that. Dr. Myer was so thural in her treatment that she may have actually found a serious heath problem going on. I am so thankful for her and her team! I would recommend them to all of my friends and family.

Dr. Gray is amazing!! I was there a year ago, was seen by an associate of Dr.Grays. I have to say that I did not feel that my issues or questions were addressed in a thourough manner. I brought the same issues (which have gotten worse) to my appointment with Dr. Gray. Not only did she see right away what was going on with me, my treatment was explained to me in a matter of minutes. She said "I can help you with..." I felt dismissed at my previous appointment. So yes..Dr. Gray is amazing!!! The ladies up front and the tech that helped me were wonderful as well. Thank You so very much!!

I was very nervous and insecure about the whole process. Assumptions were made about my needs, which were incorrect. I felt like there was no personalization. And so what did the young lady do ???? She made an appointment for me to see the OTHER doctor in the practice. I was very upset over the whole matter and I let the ladies know how I felt. They said, "Well, we will let you see Dr. Gray NEXT TIME." I didn't want to see Dr. Gray NEXT TIME. I wanted to see Dr Gray THIS TIME. And so, just in case you are not paying close attention to what I am saying, let me make it clear. I AM VERY UNHAPPY ABOUT THE WAY MY STATEMENT WAS JUST IGNORED AND NOT BEING SCHEDULED TO SEE DR. GRAY.

Very thorough exam performed. Recommended additional testing that other doctors have not. Wish there was a larger selection of higher end frames for men, not just for women. To regain 70% of vision is nearly like gaining total sight. Nearly two months have gone by since the surgery, and I am still amazed at the sunrises and pastures of green. The clouds of my eyes have gone away, for sunshine to brighten each day, for rainbows to be seen from end to end, for raindrops to see even the most detail, for watching my granddaughters hands cover my old wrinkled hand - what more can I ask!

I am very disapointed Dr. Gray did not suggest having my current glasses adjusted by Chris before filling a new one for reading glasses. I bought new frames for reading glasses and picked them up yesterday. Chris adjusted my current glasses and I am now able to read 100% with them...far better than with the new reading glasses!! Pretty much a waste of my money...which is very limited on a retirement living.
