The staff never fails to amaze me with the level of service they provide. Very friendly staff. They helped me to choose my glasses and never made me feel rushed. I love that they allowed me to take home my top 3 glasses picks so I can get the opinion of family and friends. Dr. Young was very thorough and competent. He took his time with me but was very efficient. I love Forest Place Optical!

I have problems with medical anxiety and sometimes ask a lot of questions but Forest Place never makes me feel bad or like I'm being silly. And the ladies at the counter always help me make decisions on my frames. I never want to go anywhere else!

I was looking for a new place for my family & hit the jackpot with Forest Place! The staff was friendly the moment I walked in. Everyone took their time, not rushing me or not rushing the appointment. Dr. Young took the time to explain everything & since I was getting contacts & had some tweaks, I love that I got a trial to make sure it was what was needed. If not we tried another trial until I got the right ones for me. Happy to have found this place!

I have been going to Forest Place Optical for years (probably 25 years) and every time I walk in that door I am greeted with kindness and excellent customer services. I would not consider going anywhere else. They are attentive to my needs and treat me with respect. Dr. Young is professional and is always happy to explain all the tests that occur during my yearly exam. Now, I just need to get back in there to buy myself a new pair of glasses!

I recently went in for my yearly eye exam and got new glasses. They were ready for me as soon as I walked in and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Dr Young did a great job of getting my prescription right and took time to explain things to me and when I had to pick out new frames they were very helpful and patient and let me try on as many pairs as I needed to find the right ones! My glasses came in quickly and they are great! I have been going here for years and they have gotten even better than they were in the past!

I’ve always liked coming here as the staff is always extremely friendly. If you ever need help picking glasses they will be honest with you as to which looks best on you. Right now with covid their safety measures are pretty good, they clean display glasses between uses and don’t allow you to put them back until they’re clean. They’re doing temperature checks and screenings but not until you get into a room with the assistant. Anyway, this place is great.

I felt very unsafe in the office during my exam because Dr. Young had an improper mask on. He had an N95 with a valve which protected him from me, but I was not protected from him. Someone needs to get him some information on this subject.

I have been very happy with Forest Place in the past. However, I was very disappointed to see a couple people not wearing a mask either properly or in one case, not at all in one of the small back rooms but within view of the lobby. Since droplets stay in the air for longer than previously known, I would have felt safer in your space if ALL employees were properly masked (over mouth and nose) at all times.

I was pleasantly welcomed on my first visit to Forest Place Optical. The office was well spaced out per COVID-19 protocols, and everyone wore masks. It was my first time and I thought the initial paperwork and questionnaire was very efficient and quick. Dr. Ford performed an extensive eye exam, and with no time I was ready to order my eyeglasses. My new glasses arrived in less than a week! I was surprised to learn all the protection on my lenses from the optometrist. Dr. G (Dave) was very informative and explained everything in great detail. Dr. Young and his staff are the best hands down! I started with Dr. Yound when he practiced near my home 40 minutes from Plymouth. Dr. YOUNG is thorough, eager to answer ant questions and extremely patient with his patients. He has a wonderful chair side manner. Since seeing him for the first time last year, I am seeing crisper then I have in ages. Optician Deb Dhans is a brilliant optician. She is tolerant, respectful, understanding and has spent more time than I probably should expect helping me find comfortable frames sometimes modifying them at the final fitting. She has also brought older specs back to life so they can ride the bench in the trunk of the car in case of some unforeseen event requiring a spare. The balance of the team is friendly, glad to see us and greet us by name as we come through the door.

First time as a patient here. Felt very welcomed by the staff and the doctor. I was a walk in, and they just happened to have time for me that day. I was so impressed with my visit, I booked my son to return the following week. Different doctor, same from staff, and wonderful treatment again. Glasses for myself came in about a week. Glasses for my son had to be ordered and we're only on day 3 of that wait. Definitely will recommend and will bring the rest of the family as they age into the necessity of eye exams.

I needed a routine eye exam and new contact lenses. The staff was incredibly helpful and responsive to any questions or concerns I had. Linda greeted me and promptly informed everyone of my arrival. The doctor was very detail oriented and worked with me on my prescription changes. He was patient and very professional. Bambi as well was diligent and professional and even understood my hesitation at the non-contact tonometry machine and walked me through the process. After that I met with a very nice lady who took care of the billing, was efficient and fast. My contacts arrived the next day and I picked them up and have been happy ever since. Thanks everyone!

I had an excellent experience at Forest Place Optical. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They took care of me in a timely fashion. They even remembered who I was when I came back to pick up glasses and contact lenses, without me even giving them my name. The only downside isn't even under their control: parking can be kind of crazy in Downtown Plymouth. But it's well worth the trip.

I am very happy with my visit. Although there is not a huge selection, it was varied and up to date. Actually made it easier to make a choice. They also made sure I knew that if I couldn't find exactly what I wanted, they could probably order it for me. When I came in for my visit, the arm on my old glasses was broken off. The gentleman working in the office found a replacement arm that worked with my frames so that I would be able to wear them until my new glasses came in...major brownie points!

I came in for glasses and asked about the bifocal contacts lenses. The Doctor asked me if I wanted to "pop some in my eyes" to try them out. I didn't expect to have to pay for contact lens fitting (over $100). No one mentioned that this would be a completly new fitting and would cost more. Fortunately, they let the charges go, but it was not a pleasant experience.
