A full-service Dental practice is hard to find. I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Stenger's group so soon after moving to Laguna Woods before a need. When a problem arose requiring an extraction and an emplant I was already comfortable with the office.

I give Dr. Stenger 2 thumbs up. I have a situation where my bite started shifting several months ago. Chewing is uncomfortable & I kept biting the inside of my mouth. I saw a dentist, an endodontist who had performed a root canal in that area, & a doctor who sent me for an MRI to see if I had TMJ. All exams showed nothing, & they didn't know what else to do. So, I've been living with it, until it started acting up a few weeks ago. I went to see Dr. Stenger, & she took her time with me. She was so concerned, patient, asked questions & listened to everything I had to say. The situation isn't resolved yet. But she gave me a course of action. And I believe I we will get to the root of it all. (pun intended)

Dr. Stenger is a kind, personable, knowledgeable, thorough, and professional dentist. My 90+ year old mom and dad have been patients for years and the entire staff has been so wonderful. Even with my father's dementia, they make his experience comfortable, explain everything clearly, and take great care of him. I just started seeing Dr Stenger as my personal dentist based on a high praise referral from my oral surgeon. I referred to Dr. Strenger by Dr Salib for a consultation. I need extensive work done on my teeth. The staff was very friendly and Dr Strenger is friendly and very informative. She explained everything in detail so I knew what could and couldn’t be done. She formed the beginnings of a plan and went step by step of how to proceed. Top knotch dentist! I highly recommend her!

I was very happy with the quick response and help I received with my emergency. An infection is not something you want to wait on. I was given an appointment time that morning, right when I called. When I came in I waited 5 minutes and was seen by Dr. Stenger. She immediately took X-Rays and diagnosed the problem. Couldn't have had better support.

I've been seeing Dr. Stenger for several years not. What I like most about her practice is that everyone that I've interfaced with, from reception to the dental hygienist are friendly and positive! When it comes to yearly exams and routine cleaning, I'm always amazed that I'm seen promptly. Never much of a wait. And finally I want to commend Dr. Stenger for always making sure I'm happy with results, and am informed of any areas to watch, or possibly change my cleaning routine. She's actually the first dentist in many years to recommend a night guard which helped with morning headaches and incessant nighttime grinding. Overall I can't imagine ever seeing another dentist!! She's the best!!

We have been with this office and Dr. Basilio ever since we came to CA 11 years ago. Simply everyone is warm and friendly---there's a lot of laughter in this office! The skill, competence, and patient communication skills are evident with every staff person. So many professional offices lack "the patient touch", that warmth and personalization that should be a part of every office's setup and staff training. Dr. Stenger's office's attention to patient comfort and communication is one of their very strong suits, and it should be a model for other medical professionals. If there was a ten-star rating, I would give it to this office!

It was not made clear to me on what services were to be performed and I am not sure on what my insurance covers. My dental experience was excellent. I waited for my 8:00 am appointment about two minutes in the waiting room before I was escorted to an examination / treatment room where a dental assistant immediately seated me and took x-rays. Less than two minutes after completing the x-rays, my personal dentist, Dr. Stenger, came in the examination room, review the new x-rays, talked to me about my teeth, asking about any changes, difficulties, etc. since my last checkup. The examination room was already prepared for my visit. Dr. Stenger conducted a thorough inspection of all my teeth, then, proceeded to clean them. Dr. Stenger reported her findings after completing the checkup and cleaning. The dental assistant returned to polish and floss my teeth. I was in and out of the dentist office with a complete checkup, which was comprehensive and unrushed, but efficient, including x-rays, cleaning and polishing, and consultation, in 30 minutes or less.

Ellie has been so wonderful taking the time to educate me about flossing. Since my last visit I have flossed every night for about 90% of the time. My pockets were better this time. This is the first time in my 69 years that I have flossed regularly. The key was finding the best flosser pick for my sensitive teeth. I am getting the best dental care of my life.

Overall my dental cleaning went well. Dr. Stinger was unavailable who normall treats me, but Dr. Carol Basilio did the scrapings and exam. She was great! Her assistant did the polishing and was a little rough on the flossing and seemed rushed in polishing.

I am a new patient. My first visit was on 08-14-2017. Overall I was pleased. I was assigned to Dr. Basillo (I think that's the right name). She was very professional, friendly, and a good communicator. Although I was very disappointed to hear I need a LOT of dental work done (such that it will extend through many months and cost many thousands of dollars) I can't blame the dentist for that! At least Dr. Basillio walked me through the Xrays and talked me through the needed procedures. Later, one of the office staff walked me through the printed treatment plan and the costs for each procedure. She explained everything quite well and acted in a kindly and professional manner. I was very pleased to see that Dr. Basillio performed my six-month cleaning herself. I find it very helpful when the dentist does it rather than a hygienist. Not because the dentist actually cleans the teeth ber, rather it allows the dentist to do a more detailed exam and notice more things. It also gives me more time to think of questions and concerns. In this case I learned a lot about what I can do to address a number of oral health issues I have, over and above all the crowns, root canals, fillings, extractions, and implants I need.

A very comfortable office. Everyone is friendly. Everyone explains the procedure(s) they will be doing and makes sure you understand. In the treatment room next to mine (semi-open room) I overheard one of the doctors explaining to a very concerned patient how numbing and anesthesia worked and they emphasized how "the patient is responsible for telling us how he/she feels ... because we can only see your face - we can't tell how it feels". And they finally got a little laugh out of the nervous patient. No rushing and very caring. I recommend Dr. Stenger's office every chance I get. And after every visit I thank the person who recommended her to me.

Dr. Plaitano did a great job of letting me know what he was going to do during my dental appointment. Many times during the treatment, he frequently asked if was "okay" which which was very nice too. Now that my treatment is done, I feel like my toothache is going away and I am slowly able to chew on the both sides again. Also, the prescriptions he gave me are helping me too. Highly recommended.

I have to say Dr, Stenger and her staff were outstanding. I came with a lot of anxiousness, not from the stand point of being afraid, but rather from a place of not trusting anyone other than my wonderful past dentist that had recently retired and left me feeling abandoned. The filling that has been redone already once before and was filed down by Dr. Stenger on this visit is now so rough that when I chew gum it sticks to the filing. Don't know why she let me go after flossing between my teeth and feeling it was still catching. Not very happy about this.

I am probably more sensitive to your office procedures than most because of my dental background. My only criticism would be the immediate presentation of the financial estimates at the front desk upon my arrival...perhaps better to wait till seated in the dental chair or at least in the back office. The quality of work, the professionalism, and sensitivity to my needs are top notch. My only area of concern was being bombarded with suggestive selling occurring 3 times in less than 1 minute. I thought that was a bit much. I'm surprised I wasn't asked to get a teeth whitening treatment also. I was asked if I wanted a special cancer screening, an enamel treatment, and to purchase a mouthpiece. This definitely takes away from the overall good experience on my visit.

Everything went well then at the end, when making a payment, my flexible spending card was rejected somehow and 1 more card. I talked to Conexis customer service then they said they even didn't see any attempts, which was same as another credit card company. They both confirmed I had enough credit limit and both said the dentist PC/card reader got some issues for a couple of minutes until finally my credit card went through. Not sure what was going on but the way they treated me was not that great.

If you need dental care, find a way to have the work done here. This is the sweetest, kindest most genuine staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Due to a lack of good experiences at other practices, I allowed too much time to elapse and ended up needing extensive restoration on my teeth. The staff here has been beyond understanding and so very kind to me. The care is outstanding, the quality of the work is beyond reproach. I was extremely grateful for the experience I had in your office for my gum grafting. I went in very nervous and everyone was very kind and made me feel as comfortable as possible. Dr. Hoffman spent a good amount of time explaining things to me before my surgery and during he and his assistant were very good to me, making the experience the best it could be. I always have a positive experience when coming to the office for dental work. Everyone is so friendly and competent. From Ana on the phone, to Brenda the receptionist. They are so kind. I was pleased to have Ellie clean my teeth. Dr. Basilio is always so professional and fun (she's a joy!). Nancy did a good job with the fluoride varnish on my teeth. Also, on my last visit I brought my 93 year old mother to have her teeth worked on. She commented on how friendly everyone was. She had a very positive experience with Sandy cleaning her teeth and of course with Dr. Basilio making her feel so warm and comfortable. She looks forward to going back to finish the work needed. Your office staff is most courteous, efficient and was informative about costs and insurance. Instead of getting the x-rays, Dr. Bacillo (sp?)), took only two x-rays of the molar that had lost a filling. She showed evidence of cracks, said she would not do a filling but that I needed a crown and root canal; also, a new crown on next molar. I said I'd think it over; have now researched root canals/cracked teeth; and have some questions: Are these cracks superficial? Can they be bonded? I have no pain, so could I have a filling as requested, after bonding the cracks? I prefer not to have a root canal. Patients have reported problems afterwards that I wish to avoid. Thank you for such a nice dental visit experience. I hope we can come to a satisfactory procedure at a reasonable cost.

I was very disappointed that my daughter's estimate included charges for an additional procedure that was already included in the primary service needed.(I spent 2 hours on the phone with our insurance company reviewing our coverage and discussing this with the dental office.) I am discouraged that the dentist gave me the impression that my daughter would more than likely need a root canal but would not know until she cleaned out the cavity. The office did refer us to another office to test for the need of a root canal which was not needed. In addition, I requested my treatment plan to be sent to my insurance for review and approval because of what happened to my daughter's treatment plan. I transferred to this office because of the honesty I experienced with my other daughter's dental needs.
