We had a difficult journey trying to figure out the reasons for our son's eye sensitivity issue for over a year. We finally saw Dr. Hong and her team, and they were able to bend the curve with exceptionally good care. They assessed our son and carefully personalized his vision therapy. We are starting to see great progress and a clear path to recovery. It is a blessing to have Dr. Hong and her team be part of our journey. Most importantly, their impeccable attention to detail in personal care and recovery is commendable.

I always have a great experience here. Yesterday, however, I was seen by 4 people total. The third person was giving me tests that the second person already gave me. So I don’t understand why there were so many people needed. With that said, I had a good experience with everyone that saw me. Friendly and professional service as always.

I very much enjoy the professional service that I get when I go to Family Vision Care. I was there recently for a follow-up on a potential issue with my eye. Fortunately, the issue had resolved itself. Dr. Huang did an excellent job explaining the original issue and the reason it was being monitored. It is wonderful to understand the rationale for monitoring the issue. While I was there I also visited the optical department. Bonnie was very helpful in helping me adjust my glasses and insuring that I was satisfied with a recent new glasses order. She is the consummate professional and it's great to work with someone who is so thorough and experienced!

I was pleased both the courtesy and professionalism of Dr. Hong's optometrist staff. Paulo conducted the preliminary diagnostic tests explaining the purpose of each test. He was considerate in adjusting the test sites to meet my needs. The eye exam with Dr. Hong met all my expectations. Dr. Hong is very patient in assessing my visual acuity and determining the proper correction needed for me to see clearly. She explained clearly what she saw in the photos of my retinas. She explained her concern about what she saw and referred me to a retinal specialist. The optician, Bonnie, was very helpful in offering me different eyeglass frames and in the selection I finally made. She communicated clearly what was covered by my eye insurance.

I changed optometrist to FVC on a recommendation from a friend and WOW, totally glad that I did! My sight has improved greatly after my visit here. Everyone was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Dr. Vasquez spent nearly an hour, examining and testing my eyes. She took the time to explain everything in detail, pointed out where my eyes need attention, and offered tips for contact and glasses care. I really appreciate the way that Dr. Hong and the team at Family Vision Care and Vision Therapy go beyond just dispensing glasses to do a more comprehensive examination of the structures and functions of the eyes and to provide communication about many aspects of eye health and services that help to achieve better eye teaming, which can improve one's experiences for many life activities. I had always been satisfied with my vision, but my recent care with vision therapy have "opened my eyes" to a whole world of new possibilities.

A very child friendly optometric service. Lily started off my daughter’s assessment with a friendly manner and age appropriate language. She made my daughter feel so comfortable. Dr Hong followed suit and gave easy yo understand instructions and explanations. We were never made to feel rushed and all our questions were answered. From the list my insurer provided, I had difficulty choosing a suitable place to take a child to. I’m writing this review for parents to make your decision easier. Do not hesitate. You won’t be disappointed. Also as a bonus there’s plenty of free parking in the shopping mall.

Outstanding care by Family Vision Care and Vision Therapy. Dr. Hong and Dr. Bailey are very thorough and take their time to discuss and assess the wellness of your eye while providing alternate approaches to improve near and far term sight. The entire staff is professional from the moment you walk in to the time you leave their office. To me and my family, it's worth the 20 minute drive to ensure our eyes are taken of and remain in the best of health.

All the office staffs are very nice and friendly. Dr. Hong has been seeing my kids for the past few years. She takes the time to talk to the kids / parents and do a through job on explaining things. The staff are knowledgable; they take the time to explain our options. I also had to ask for their help in shipping something a CRT lens out to us (we were out of the area) and they were very helpful and provided all the needed materials very efficiently! We recently went back in person for the annual exams and I also liked their COVID-related procedures such as providing sanitizers when you walk in, wiping each machine right before using it; sanitizing the spaces after usage. The chairs / exam rooms have signs indicating if the spaces have been sanitized. This office is very well-organized and welcoming! We highly recommended Family Vision Care.

This place is absolutely amazing. I have never had such a thorough exam. I have a traumatic brain injury and a prominent medical facility said they couldn't find anything wrong even after I said its not acuity but my brain. I have been suffering for 4 years with balance, vertigo, can't work on a computer for long, can't see clearly or properly leaving me exhausted and stressed. Dr. Hong found out right away. Other opthalmologists, even one that went to Stanford, couldn't help me. These guys are GREAT!!! I am so glad I found them.

Great experience. Dr. Bailey and the 4th year medical intern, Elton were very thorough. My childeren are 8 and 4. Although I am prepared for a long appointment the kids did well. I like how Dr. Bailey and Elton engage the kids during their time. They do not feel bored or anxious. It was fun for my youngest who asked to go back and look at the "machines" the next day. I liked the process of current time. The staff ensured their safety and ours. There was only 1 or 2 other individuals in during our appointment time but we only saw them when they were leaving. They are doing a wonderful job in accommodating families and staggering appointments in general. Everything is clean and staff is following all protocols the best to my knowledge.

When I finally was able to see Dr. Hong, she went above and beyond to make sure we came up with the best prescription for my tricky to assess glasses. She had sent an email to her optical department asking them to call me but somehow that fell through the cracks. Dr. Justine was great!! She listened to all my concerns and problems. I showed her my current reading glasses which I got elsewhere and I was wearing the wrong perscription the whole time! No wonder my eyes were feeling funny! I loved that I didn’t have to get my eyes dilated since I had a party later on that day. Visit was painless and easy. And I found some cute glasses.

Dr. Hong is so good with my daughter. She's definitely in a "I don't wanna do anything I don't feel like doing" stage, and Dr. Hong was so so patient with her when testing her eyes, and even did an eye exam on her Harper doll.

I was SO HAPPY with Dr. Simon. We recieved word that our little 4 year old didn't pass a vision test at school and immediately found Family Vision Care through their wonderful reviews. They did not disappoint. I have my own optometrist and am switching myself over, too. The selection of frames is awesome, too! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Simon and how gentle and caring she was with my baby-girl. 10 stars!!! TY to all of you at FVCVT!!!

Dr. Hong and her staff made my daughter and myself very comfortable. My daughter is two and a half and her only eye doctor experience before this was...loud shall we say. My optometrist recommended Dr. Hong for my daughter. From the moment we stepped into the office the staff was very friendly and accommodating to my very active toddler. They explained everything to her in kid friendly terms and included her in her treatment and made her very comfortable and feel at ease. Dr. Hong and her student optometrist were very kind and understanding and walked my daughter through the whole exam, and gave her some cute toys afterwards. Dr. Hong even took her to the machines she would be using the next time so that she would be comfortable then. On our way out, the appointment scheduled even talked with my daughter and have her a little snack. I would one million percent recommend Dr. Hong and the rest of Family Vision Care to anyone with children, and really anyone at all!

I had specifically asked for an appointment for Visual Processing for my son. Instead I got some exam about eye mechanics and vision even though he had just seen his regular doctor the prior week. I was told we needed to come back for Visual Processing. Results from the exam they did were discussed but nothing in writing - I really need to get ahold of the records, how do I do that? I was told we'd get a report after visual processing -- why can I not or how can I get a report on the results of the exam I did?

The staff and doctors at this facility are outstanding. My daughter had issues with her right eye and the doctors and staff were so patient with her and they never optimized for time. Dr. Hong was incredibly patient in examining my son. Despite his inability to answer her questions during the examination, she kept trying different ways to get the answers she needed to find out how to give him optimal care. She calmly explained everything she did so he had no unwelcome surprises. I appreciated that she never rushed and gave him a very thorough examination.

This is hands down the best place to go to take care of your eyes. Dr. Hong and Dr. Simon are super friendly and take whatever time is necessary to make sure you leave there feeling like you had the best experience at a doctor’s office. I had an appointment with Dr. Simon yesterday and really felt taken care of. My appointment was right before lunch, yet she stayed and took care of me through her lunch hour. Before seeing Dr. Simon, one of the other staff members helped me with the initial vision tests and she was equally friendly and caring. The entire staff, including those at the desk, are really helpful and equally focused on excellent customer service. Dr. Simon was extremely thorough and explained everything to me very clearly. Never did I feel any pressure to get glasses for a minor prescription, even though my insurance would’ve covered a pair. She basically told me that if I wanted to get a pair to help when I’m reading I could, but it really wasn’t necessary. In the past, I’ve never had other eye doctors tell me that. The new location is not only beautiful and well designed, but the parking is super easy and abundant. Getting to my appointment was very easy and getting home afterwards was even easier. I am looking forward to my next visit at Family Vision Care.

I brought my 85 year old father in because of persistent diplopia. His Kaiser ophthalmologists told him there was nothing left to do, and that he would just have to live with it. He could no longer enjoy reading his Chinese newspaper or watch sports. I asked an optometrist friend and was referred to Visioncare. Frankly, I was expecting to be disappointed and asked him to keep his expectations low as well. In fact we were greeted by some of the most professional and caring staff I have ever met. Dr. Simon did an extraordinary job at evaluating my dad and I know it wasn't easy getting him to choose between 'number one or number two'. After a 2 hour evaluation, he came out with optics that took away his double vision! It is easy to get cynical in today's healthcare environment. Your practice let us know there are still skilled providers that love what they do. Many, many thanks!!

Dr. Bansal is the best! She found a hemorrhage in my eye that was beyond tiny which led to the discovery of some other issues which are now being watched by an ophthalmologist. In addition she is my children's optometrist. She is fantastic with kids, very thorough and just a great dr. all around!

Great group! Dr. Hong, Tom Headline and all of their office staff are all wonderful! I drive from Roseville to visit them every 6 weeks (commute is usually 3 hours each way) for the past 2 years to see them for their world-class expertise with vision therapy for my complex strabismus condition. Have made enormous progress, starting to achieve some stereopsis and 3D vision... so amazing!

Dr. Bansal was fantastic! She worked extensively with my son, determining what was going on with him. I never fault this practice for their eye care. I do think that the glasses area is very expensive and don't try to offer discounts even when you say you are on a tight budget. I asked directly and was given it, but the woman clearly heard me tell my son to look for less pricey options and she went straight to the name brand.

I basically owe my vision to Dr. Hong. When I fist came into the office I did not have 3-D vision and was in danger of losing vision in my left eye. Today, I can see in 3-D and both my eyes are fine. Thanks to the correction method that Dr. Hong selected for me, I am not encumbered by vision glasses or lenses during the day. I can run, ride a horse, and do my homework! I am very grateful to Dr. Hong, Signe, and the entire wonderful, helpful staff at Family Vision Care.

Dr. Hong and the rest of the team are simply brilliant. They make visiting the optometrist the highlight of my day. The team really emphasizes thoroughness in the process when I visit them, and that's something I really value. I never leave an appointment feeling like there was a question I had still lingering, or something that wasn't addressed. And it's a big bonus that the whole staff has a sunny, warm disposition that strips away anything intimidating about visiting the eye doctor. My wife and I were both looking to have a new Optometrist for our examinations as we were not pleased with the one who had done the procedure in the past few years. I called to make an appointment and was scheduled to see Dr. Lee. The exam went well and I liked Dr. Lee. The day after my exam my wife called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Lee. She was told he is leaving and relocating to another state. This was a bit shocking as I was not told this when I was there. My wife has since seen another Optometrist whom she liked so we will be taking our business to her in the future.

Dr. Hong was great as usual. BUT, the Cost of services that are not typically covered by insurance should be explained BEFORE they actually excuted. I was not happy have a $200 billed dropped on me at the end of my appointment. I probably would not have asked for that unnecessary service if I had know the cost associated with it.

I am overall very happy with the care my family and I receive. I am however most unhappy with the fact that I always get the feeling I am being encouraged to buy something that I do not need. Whether is be eye therapy when they were younger or glasses or extra sets of glasses. I do not appreciate this at all. If I ever leave this will be the reason. I go to the eye doctor for eye care and for honest suggestions as to what we need. High pressure sales will eventually drive me out of your office I am afraid.

My son's appointment was at 8am and the door was locked, so we had to wait until Dr. Mac opened the door for us. There was nobody at the front desk, just somebody on the side, so we didn't know what to do next. Are we supposed to be called? or something? Someone needs to greet us and let us know next steps. When someone else came in after us, we were told to wait so they could sort out her appointment first...which was evident of incompetent scheduling. And what's so special about the person after us that we didn't go first? Anyway....this is the first time we came on a Saturday. We go to his center only because of the good doctors, with whom we always have a good experience. Obviously, the staff are not getting rave reviews for this visit.

I really appreciate the very thorough exam that Dr Hong, Diana (sp?) and Emily performed. What was even better was that Dr Hong spent time explaining the results to me and also planned to do some research with her colleagues to determine what would work most effectively for me. I also very much liked how Dr Hong interacted with her intern and how she incorporated the knowledge and skills that the intern brought to the table! That definitely shows that Dr Hong is a superior professional!

I was a CRT patient of Dr. Lee in Cupertino 6 years ago. I had seen him for 4 years and he always provided professional, caring and holistic service. Since I was not satisfied with the service of the new eye doctor, I am willing to drive 30 miles to get eye exam from Dr. Lee. The outstanding service and care he provides are definitely worth the time and effort.

My insurance covers certain services.And I have been using my current brand contacts for several years now and being pretty happy with them. Doctor persuaded me to switch to new contacts saying it is even cheaper than my current option: but when it was time to pay - I paid contact lense refitting fee that is NOT covered by my insurance and also contact lenses doctor proposed are actually more expensive even after rebate! I would like all financial options laid out for me BEFORE I commit to that option! To be fair doctor's assistant did a great job explaining a price difference between dilating my pupils and some more advanced technology to look at eye's retina, and I was able to make an informed decision and chose NOT go for a more expensive option.

Dr. Lee is incredibly knowledgeable and encouraging. He helped my third-grade daughter learn how to focus her eyes properly for reading and sports, and her schoolwork and test scores have really taken off! He also confirms that her vision functioning has remained stable after a year, and that is excellent news. The vision therapy was a lot of work for her- she is very glad she did it ("Reading is SO much easier, Mom!"), and it's good to know she won't have to do it again.

Dr. Lee explained the tests and what type of correction would help best. The woman in the area devoted to new glasses was very helpful, and "tuned-up" my old glasses.

The optometry department is very good and thorough, but I am disappointed in the optician department. Those new girls in there don't seem experienced enough and the displays are inadequate. The girls seemed disinterested in helping me ascertain what other colors were available in the silhouette line. Your display should have most of the colors if not in each style but overall. No one wants to spend $100's of dollars sight unseen. Also, the sample glasses were grimy and needed cleaning, pretty gross. I went over to Dr. Stasko's place and it it much nicer, well organized and the girl there was helpful and professional.

We trust our visual health to all of you, and greatly appreciate your care. The interim who worked with me was clearly interested in my well- being, however will do well with more supervised practice in prepping me for studying my optic nerve (repeated directions frequently). Thanks for the last 20 years

It would be nice to be informed either at the time of making an appointment or at the exam if I am eligible for corrective lenses. I had my exam and returned the next day for my corrective lenses. When I returned I was informed that I was not eligible for glasses until the next year. It would have saved me a trip and been more convenient if I had been informed of this earlier.
