From the time you walk in until you leave, there is nothing Family Vision misses. I had moved to a different Clinic due to my job location moved. I came back. They have the latest tech for eye exams, they listen to all / any questions. The make sure that you are getting the exact frames/lens you want. Anyone can go to the mall, but if you want to deal with a professional clinic, you come here.

I’m not a huge fan of getting my eyes examined, why? No idea? Miriam and dr Hutchins did a great job! This was my first time seeing family vision since they finished the remodel- beautiful! Everyone was wonderful and very professional! Veronica also did a great job helping me with my glasses! I definitely recommend them!

We love Family Vision Clinic. They treat you like family. Their eyeglasses are far superior to eyeglass stores in the malls. I NEVER have problems with my glasses. The quality far outweighs that of other eyeglass companies.

Family Vision demonstrates a genuine devotion to patient satisfaction that is evident in every member of staff and in every step of the exam and treatment process. Communication is thorough and information is understandable because staff is committed to take the time and put forth the effort needed. Staff knowledge and proficiency are extremely high. During my exam, the doctor provided answers to questions and a plan for corrective treatment regarding a vision problem that for almost three year I had not received any explanation by two leading ophthalmologists.

This is a great place to get your glasses done if you're looking for one. The place is nice and clean. you will see only female staff in there but they're very professional, sweet and so friendly. They greet you nice and smile all the times. The service was great with quality. I highly recommended this place to other customers. Our family LOVES Family Vision Clinic in Savage! While my kids don't mind going to the dentist they look forward to visiting the outgoing staff at Family Vision each year! We've been coming here for 4 or 5 years now and every doctor and staff person we've had the pleasure of interacting with has been phenomenal! Dr Hurst & Dr Hutchins are great w/ children and families. The teams friendly, up front, "no pressure" approach to eye wear makes them our 1st choice hands down. They are also amazing with repairs and replaces for scratches or any issues you might come across with your glasses. Friendly, prompt and they do everything in their power to get your glasses back to you ASAP. I'm so glad someone recommended them to us when we moved to the area!

Friendly staff but I was pushed into something more expensive than perhaps needed. My insurance plan offered a free pair of lenses. I brought in an old frame and said I'd like lens replacements per my insurance benefit. The representative talked so quickly and steered me to progressives without discussing cost. When it was over, I had a new pair of lenses and also a $200 bill. I inquired about the cost since my insurance benefit offered a free lens and I was told, "that's not wholly true, nothing is really free". I didn't wan't to stay any longer so I just accepted what was done and left. After leaving and reflecting, I felt like I was dealing with a fast talking used car salesman who swindled me into something I didn't really ask for or maybe even need. It was my fault, without a doubt, for not staying and questioning but I needed to leave and didn't want to spend further time there. I've been helped by other representatives there before with a better experience so I can't say unequivocally that Family Vision isn't worth your time/money, only to be cautious about what you are getting or who is helping you.

This crew is like family. We have been coming to Family Vision for over 10 years and they are all just wonderful. It is always a delight when it is time for a visit. And they know their stuff, too. So knowledgeable. If you have questions, they are ready with answers. They really invest the time to get to know you and understand your vision needs. They move you through the process and don't keep you waiting unless they really need to give another patient some extra attention to meet their care requirements. On the rare occasion that I do have to wait a little bit, I don't mind because their commitment to superb care will also apply to me when my turn comes around. Also, the vision testing equipment is all top notch and some of it is automated, which means the visit goes more quickly and you will have an accurate prescription when you are done. I could go on and on about this marvelous place.

FVC was Amazing! I brought my son in for an eye check before starting school. I have not been to the eye doctor since a kid myself, so I did not know what to expect. I was nervous for my son(6yr) who, like most kids, doesn't like the doctor. Mandy did an AWESOME job making him feel comfortable. She interacted with him as though she knew him and was able to get the job done without him feeling uncomfortable or pressured. I even scheduled my own appointment before I left. I will recommend FVC to all my friends

I have never been to a vision place where everyone would acknowledge you as walk-in. Last year was my first time here at this clinic and my experience was awesome and I said to myself that I would stay with them from now when it comes to my vision care. Everyone was so friendly, easy to talk to, and very accommodating. Karly was awesome that even my son likes her a lot. And of course I like my optometrist, Dr. Hurst, she is so sweet and always educate and help me with anything that I need. She always takes the time needed to be sure you understand the results of the exam and the course of treatment.

Overall the service is real good and I really like Dr. Hurst and her "bedside manner". She seems to care about here customers. However the only issue I had was when I was greeted. I was late by 10 minutes, which was my fault. I understand that me being late should not affect other customers. However the front desk person who helped me was new and was looking for advice from the more experienced person who was couching her, I was told that because I was late , "They will try to fit me in". There is a nice way of presenting this and a punitie way of presenting his. It felt very punitive and it seemed like the more experienced person was saying,Your late so you are not important to us and wait over there and maybe we will get to you. Again, I realize I was late and I missed my spot but it could have been presented in a much friendlier way as "I'm sorry, because your are a bit late, your apportionment has been missed but if you can hang with us, we will do everything we can to get you taken care of" Instead I got"Your appointment was at 3:20, it is now 3:30, so have a seat and it could be a while and we will see if we can fit you in". Between that and your prices, I almost got up and left.

Every year I tweak my bifocal contacts prescription to try and find what works best for me. It can take weeks until I figure it out, and the staff is always very patient as I try different combinations of powers. Service is always very friendly. I highly recommend Family Vision Clinic for all of your eye care and eye wear needs! The doctors are fabulous and use the latest technology to help identify and suggest the proper treatment. My family has a history of detached retinas and my mind is at ease knowing I am able to receive high-tech retinal imaging easily and affordably. I love how enthusiastic everyone is about their jobs. You can tell they really enjoy where they work and who the work with. Dr. Hurst was very warm when she greeted me. I never expect to be remembered just by sight alone, and she knew exactly who I was even though it had been a few years since she’d seen me (Dr. Scully has seen me the past several years). The opticians (I had Veronica this time) are soooo good at helping you select frames that fit and look good. One of my favorite things about buying glasses from FVC is that the opticians give an honest opinion about the frames (that color washes out your face, or those frames are too small for your face, these ones help hide how thick the lenses are, that color looks great with your eyes). I always feel like we found the perfect set of frames for me.

I had never taken my children to an optometrist before, so wasn't even sure where to go, and ended up choosing Family Vision Clinic because of it's location. I was so impressed with Family Vision Clinic. First of all, I was able to get a same day evening appointment, which was incredibly helpful. Secondly, the staff was awesome- very kind, patient, and professional. My four year old had to have something removed from her eye, and Dr. Hurst was AMAZING with her. It was easy to see that she really enjoyed working with my daughter, and was receptive to my input as well. All the staff was, really. I would definitely recommend this clinic to other families with young children.

I was new to the area, and I was looking for a good vision doc, since I was now an hour away from my old one of 9 years. I walked in, and Deb was very nice, and helpful, to set me up and get me my first appointment. Once at my appointment Carly and the other women there, were super awesome. They got me in the wileyX glasses, I had my eye on. I will keep these guys for all of my eye care from now on. Being a truck driver I need good eye care, and these guys fit the bill.

I called to see if I could come in right away because i had something in my eye and could not see. When I arrived, I was welcomed and immediately brought into the treatment room where the situation was quickly resolved. This is one of the reasons that Family Vision has been the only choice for my husband and me since we moved here in 2002. .

Dr Sculley is a Great eye doctor who I have been bringing my family to for years. My son has a rare eye disorder, and she has done everything possible to protect his vision and help him see at his maximum capacity. Her staff is always helpful and friendly. Family Vision Clinic will not "sell you glasses" you don't need. Brought both daughters in for exams, both complaining of headaches. They received very thorough exams and were told they didn't need a prescription. Most places would have seen this as an easy sell.

You're constantly trying to upsell and you forget about customer service. The woman who try to fit me with glasses between seeing the doctor was very unpleasant. And this was the third time I have had experiences like this with her. I did not say OK to the $60 contact lens consultation. Yet they did it anyways and charged me for it. My Doctor was very kind. She always is.

My only comment is that your frames seem to be very expensive. I find it hard to believe that there were only 3 options for me to stay under my $170 VSP allowance. Those are expensive glasses if you ask me. I may have to look else where to see what prices are of frames as I can't afford to pay $400+ every year for myself as well as my 2 kids.

Everything was fine except I still don't understand the fitting fee. i was told it's like getting a blood pressure check to make sure my meds are working. that really doesn't work as my medical plan covers follow-up communication. regardless, i have been wearing the same type/brand of lenses for years so disagree with the charge but know i can do little about it. also, the day i was in, i was in a super hurry. the woman who helped order my contacts and took my payment was very efficient and effective.

I arrived 10 minutes late due to challenging road construction on county road 42 and 35w. Instead of "welcome to FVC or hello" my greeting was "You are late and I do not know if we can serve you!" The woman on the right with the glasses (heavier set) was very rude. I nearly turned right around and walked out the door. Of course I know I am late but the greeting was not warm, nor understanding. And, it should be noted that no one was in the waiting room and only one other customer was being helped and he was being helped fit glasses. Had Dr. Scully and Hannah not been so AMAZING and full of GREAT customer service and warm care, I would not come back. Front desk is front desk. It should always be warm and if indeed the tardiness will cause an issue, then at least be warm in your greeting and then determine that.

I love Family Vision! Always a lovely experience. Receptionists were friendly upon my arrival. I just adore Grace - so sweet and informative! Dr. Scully was amazing per usual - friendly, provided expertise, and was quick. And the women who helped me pick out glasses and submit payment were GREAT. I forgot my HSA card and was offered the option to call in payment the next day which was awesome. I took forever choosing new frames and even though it was the end of the day, I didn't feel rushed. She brought over many suggestions and also provided input to which looked best. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I would always recommend this clinic.

We were new patients, my appointment went well except I felt my glasses with bifocals were expensive at $550.94, the most I ever have paid with insurance. Two days later I brought my children in for their appointments, we arrived early so that they had a chance to view frames. Their exams began on time at 10:30 and 11:00. Around 11:30 my children and I met with an optician. The frame my daughter choose did not fit and they had trouble finding her one at first. The optician told me that the computer was slow and at times down so they had trouble looking up frames and my benefit information. I was told this happens because that computer is furthest from the server. At noon we had been at the clinic for nearly 2 hours, 30 minutes of this was with the optician and not much had been accomplished. I had a lunch appointment at 1:00 and my daughter had mentioned to me that she was getting hungry and they hadn't even started with my son yet. Since they were having computer trouble the optician was writing prices and charges on post-it-notes and I was given 2 different totals for my daughter's appointment using a calculator. This disorganization made me feel uneasy and rushed and I was concerned I would be overcharged. At about 12:15 and now after waiting about 45 minutes with the optician I told her we needed to go and to call me with my daughter's amount. Upon leaving my daughter mentioned to me again that she was hungry and the optician, in my opinion commented in a rude and irritated tone that she knew she was hungry, that she had heard her. This made my daughter and I feel uncomfortable, I felt it was unprofessional, unnecessary and she should keep her comments to herself about a child. My daughter didn't want to go back. Furthermore, the clinic's computer difficulties were not our fault and we couldn't wait there any longer. I informed the doctor about this incident with the optician but my correspondence was never even acknowledged. An apology would have been appropriate. Later that day I called the clinic to inquire about my daughter's amount, they e-mailed me the statement and the cost was $294.96 with insurance. I thought this was too much. Last year I paid much less for a nice pair of glasses, since she gets new glasses every year with her changing prescription why would I pay nearly $300.00. The optician also failed to give me my children's prescriptions before we left, however I received them after I e-mailed the clinic. Being a new patient I always hope to find a place that we can go to for many years , have good experiences, be treated respectfully and not be charged too much. Because of these circumstances we won't be returning.

Loud and talked non-stop asking me way to many personal questions, pushy. I needed to ask for a copy of my script and just left. I wanted to look for new glasses but could not deal any longer with her!

Loved The Dr. And girls at front desk , Optometrist assistant also. I did not care for the way an optician comes to room to get you after appt. The girl that came was "Over the top ... Loud and talked non-stop asking me way to many personal questions, pushy. I needed to ask for a copy of my script and just left. I wanted to look for new glasses but could not deal any longer with her!

Waited almost 30 minutes from the time my eyes were dilated to the time the doctor came back to take a look. This was too long.

I would prefer to be asked upon the completion of my exam if I was interested in purchase glasses, etc. rather than automatically have the optician take me over to their section. It always feels a bit like a "hard sell" pitch. My optician was pleasant but I think this procedure could be handled better.

This was a great place to get my eye test done. I had an ocular occlusion and they got me an appointment at a retinal specialist the next day which was great. They helped me understand my options as well as what was going on. I would recommend them to anyone!

Big fan of Dr. Hurst. But visit ($380) was too expensive for a fairly annual checkup just to get a new contact lenses prescription.

Everyone is always so nice when I come here. You don't feel like you are at an eye doctors office at all! The dr's assistant (not sure if that's what they are called) was excellent as well as Dr. hurst. I was also very impressed with Carly (in the eyeglass area) she has such a great personality and a real nack for what she does. After a few minutes I felt like I have known her for years. I was very impressed with the experience I had during my appointment!

In addition to looking at glassses at your clinic (whihc by the way was very nice and Carly was very helpful and so nice!), but could I receive a hard copy of my prescription. I may check out one or two other places for glasses and it would be helpful to have the prescription. I did like the pair I found there with Carly's help, but will still like to look around a little more before deciding. Thank you!
