I can't imagine having anyone else looking after my eyesight. She also maintains a professional and capable staff. Her facilities and equipment are state of the art.

Long-time patient of Dr. Patterson and my visit reinforced why! The receptionist and technicians were extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. My visit was quick and efficient and my concerns were addressed - and the rationale behind each test and change in my prescription was readily explained. The staff also made listening to my concerns and helping me to get the best deal on frames and contacts a priority. Great to be back!

I have no complaints about the customer service or exam. I have continued to use Dr. Patterson over the years for a reason. It is too bad that Alcon no longer offers a rebate, it was helpful offsetting the cost of contact lenses.

The staff at Eyes of Starwood provide one of the best health care experiences I've ever had. Everyone there is so genuine, kind, and patient. They explain options and conditions thoroughly and make sure all your questions are answered. The office is warm and inviting and they make you feel welcome the minute you walk in. It never fails, whenever I go to my appointments or pick up my glasses I'm treated like a VIP. I attend every year for years now. There are 2 constants, Dr. Patterson's smiling face and her staff's genuine kindness and professionalism. I always recommend this business because of great eyewear selections, cleanliness, professional and friendly atmosphere, price point and I never get pressured into buying anything I don't need or want. The staff never tells me I look good in glasses just to make a sell. They actually understand face shapes and give amazing recommendations on glasses styles. I have NEVER left the office unsatisfied. I would absolutely recommend this place for your vision needs. Dr. Patterson and her staff are super nice and take the time to understand your concerns and address them. I had a serious eye condition and was told by other optometrists it was not fixable at my age. Dr. Patterson did not agree with the other opinions and referred me to a specialist who was able to correct my problem. This was a life changing experience for me and I will be forever grateful! Also, you never have to wait beyond your appointment time.

Great Doctor & Team! My son and I have been patients at this practice for 6 years. We are very happy with Dr. Patterson and her team. Dr. Patterson is very thorough, professional and nice. Her team is always helpful, friendly and they make it is easy to schedule appointments, order contacts, select glasses, etc. I really like the print out I receive after each visit with Dr. Patterson. It explains what procedure was performed that day and why, and what treatment plan is recommended. Dr. Patterson is wonderful. However, your office communication is very bothersome. I received 7 text messages and 6 emails all for one appointment. The time of the appt within the messages all was different. I had to call initially to find that the date my original appt was could not be accommodated bc the dr would be out. Everyone was great! Always exceed my expectations! Having a person sit with you and actually HELP you pick out frames is my favorite part of The eyes of Starwood. It takes the pressure off immensely and I am always extremely pleased with what is picked out for me. The staff know what product they have better than I do so the time spent searching the shelves for that right pair of frames is cut down to almost nothing. Though I've only been to the office a handful of times over the course of 7 years, I always appreciate the individual attention I'm given through the whole process, which can be tedious. As long as their doors remain open, I'll be one of their customers and will always highly recommend them to anyone for eye care.

Very appreciative of the time and care taken to check Jason's vision, and concerns with his left eye. I went in to the appointment feeling anxious about potential issues, and I left the office feeling confident that my son had the best examination. Dr. Patterson is thorough and takes the time to answer questions. We appreciate the extra care she takes with patients, especially the young ones :)

Very disappointed in my most recent visit. I have been coming here about 4 years and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. Dr. Patterson was great but I can't say the same for the rest of the team. I am debating asking for my eye script and taking my business elsewhere.

My husband and I have been going to Eyes of Starwood for several years now. It's always a positive experience. The office is clean and welcoming, and Dr. Patterson (and her staff) is sooo awesome! The doctor is always on time and professional. Her personality is bright and uplifting and her prescriptions are always right on the mark. Haven't always gotten our Rx's filled there, but when we have, we've never had a problem. Thank you!!

Dr Patterson is great, but I felt a little nickel and dimed. Let me list the items...a charge for an eye exam, another for "health" of the eye, then the fee to update the perscription, then a cost for the contact lenses fitting, and an extra charge for my daughter because she needs a special type of contact lense. I'm fine with the cost of contacts and an exam. It's all the other items that brought my out of pocket cost to over $1,000 per kid that made it seem a bit excessive.

I picked this doctor randomly from my in network list. I couldn't have been luckier. From the initial call to schedule my appointment to walking out the door I was confident I was in good hands. I left with some trial contact lenses which I really liked and was told more would be ordered at that time. I called back the following Monday (appt. was on a Thursday), and there were no contacts ordered or any available so I had to go back to wearing my glasses. I am now waiting on more to be ordered which could take anywhere from 3 to 7 business days. Perhaps this was not communicated properly or I misunderstood. However, I was disappointed with this part of my visit. Other than that, everyone was very professional.

The front office lady (gray hair) was super patient with me and my kids and she went out of her way to make us comfortable. Both her and the assistant are assets to your team! Dr. Patel is very relatable and patient, even with my five year old. I've recommended this office to all my teacher friends due to affordability and customer care. I was very confused about why I was called in for a fitting. I asked on the phone 2x and was not given an answer. Only after i refused to proceed with the fitting did i get an answer as to why I was back. I would like a dialogue with the dr to help me understand what is going on with my eyes. I appreciate the help thus far but that last fitting was not pleasant at all. My eyes are just starting to clear up and stop hurting from the multiple attempts to remove the contacts from my eyes. You are my eye people but this is all new to me and i am confused about how it all works, and how to achieve my goals.....If they are achievable at all. I believe my vision got better after I wore the last contacts for a couple of weeks. I am curious if that is possible of if the use of contacts required me to lubricate my eyes and that effected my vision. I had hoped to discuss this while i was there but I was told I was done when the contacts didnt fit.

Everyone was extremely nice to me and my issue. I called at 5:45 on a Tuesday evening asking for the symptoms of the pink eye and the receptionist offered to set an appt that was first available. But after explaining my issue she placed me on hold and speak with Dr. Patel. She came back and said can you get here in 15 minutes (but I got there in like 12). He was extremely patient and made sure I understood my treatment plan.

I was in Friday for an exam. The exam went great (as always). When I went to check out, I planned to order new lenses for my existing frames. When she told me that the new lenses were going to be $400, I was caught off guard. I told her I didn't realize they were going to be so much. She explained why they are expensive, and I gave her my credit card. On the way home, I was feeling really anxious about spending that much on new lenses because I just don't have the money. On top of that, I only really use my glasses to read in bed at night and my new prescription isn't that different from the old one. It would be nice to get the new lenses, but not critical and since I honestly can't afford it right now, I decided it would be better to wait until I had the money. I called the office as soon as I got home to ask her to cancel the lenses. At that time, Valerie informed me that all sales were final. This was the first time anyone had told me that. She said she was have to call me back.

Doctors Services - 5 stars. Contact purchasing - 1 star (two less than favorable experiences now). The customer service experience is more than just seeing the doctor. Lot of options in Frisco - wrong town to practice in if you are not going to provide the full package.

The young man who did the initial diagnostics was excellent - competent, friendly, and efficient. Dr. Patel is very pleasant and thorough and was great about explaining what was going on and answering questions. The lady who did the "check-out" process was very nice but took WAY too long, going through a meandering sales pitch even though we were very clearly not buying... finally had to ask her to lay of the up-sell and just get me paid up.

My follow up experience was terrible. I wasn't happy with my new contact lenses and called the next day to ask about changing them. After several phone calls trying to contact the contact lens tech, I was offered a single appointment time. I was unable to come at that time and the tech said he would "check with the desk and call me back". By this time I was a little bit angry and decided to wait and see how long it would take to get a call back. 10 days later I got a voice mail scheduling me for an appointment three weeks in the future. That appointment is 5 weeks after my initial appointment. Not an appointment I will be keeping. I was a new patient looking to replace a retiring doctor. Guess I will keep looking.

I am only dropping one star due to the high cost of eyeglasses, even when only purchasing lenses. I understand frame cost due to high end brands, but you should have more cost effective options on lenses. For someone like me who doesn't use glasses very often, it would be pointless to spend that much on lenses (I was quoted $400 for just lens replacement in my existing glasses). In every other way, my experience was great!

Dr. Patel was very patient and thorough as he taught our 11 year old how to fit her contacts for the first time. He took time to teach her and even demonstrated on his own eye. I was sure we were going to have to return another day because she just wasn't going to get it but his reassurance and "calmness" helped her get her contacts in! It couldn't have gone better!
