I don’t know how bad my life would be without Dr O’Rear. I have had severe dry eye for 20 years. She has made it possible for me to enjoy life even with dry eye. She sees me often to check in my eyes. She has put me in scaleral lens that have been a miracle. She is constantly looking for treatments or anything new concerning severe dry eye to help me even more. She has fought for me for years. If she leaves this office, I will follow her!! She is a great person and optometrist. I’m so thankful for her care and concern with this very difficult dry eye disease.

Very happy with my annual visit to Eyeland to see Dr Boeckman. As always the staff is very accommodating and professional. The Optomap equipment was out of order so I’ll need to go back to have that service performed. I’m happy to go back, as I hate getting my eyes dilated.

I have been seeing Dr. Awalt at Eyeland for over 10 years. He is such a caring doctor and listens to my concerns. He always remembers me and my family and asks about them every appointment which is such a great feeling. I know he has my best care and interest at heart and I trust him with my eye care. If I were to base my rating on Tuesday's visit, it would have been a 0 - Not Likely. I have always had the best visits there with Dr. Awalt and his team. However, this past visit, I encountered the rudest and laziest eye tech who assisted me before I saw Dr. Awalt. He barely spoke to me, and when he did, he mumbled, didn't tell me when the test started, made me reach for the contact case, etc. If that were my first visit, I wouldn't have gone back based on the technician.

The entire staff is friendly and more than helpful. I was a patient with this practice before I moved from the area 24 years ago, and the service is still magnificent!! I went to make my appointment on Wednesday, and thought I was going to be seen that day; young lady at the reception desk was embarrassed, but DID inform me of a cancellation appointment on Thursday (next day), which I took. I was provided necessary patient paperwork; AND the assistant took all my identification/insurance documents, starting a patient file for me right then, so I did not have to do that on return. On Thursday I was early for my appointment; staff was busy, yet acknowledged me and asked me to wait just a few moments before they signed me in. Bree was the assistant to begin the process, after I waited for only a short time; she is friendly and very competent, asking details and answering my questions without hesitation. Dr. Boeckman was with me soon after that; I remember him from before, and told him I am a returning patient, which made him smile. His examination was complete, he also answered my questions and explained Lasik dry eye syndrome with his recommendation to work on that. Debbie Alexander was my optician; she was going to terminate a call with the optical lab, which I told her to complete while I looked at frames. Debbie expressed her appreciation for my patience, and was very professional in her job. She was also friendly and helped me understand the lense coating process. Another optician, Nancy, was listening to our conversation about sunglasses and my questions about RayBan frames/lenses; Nancy actually looked up the Aviator frames I was asking about, showed us what she found and placed the order for me, so the frames will be at the opticians when I return to pick up my new glasses. Overall, this practice is so welcoming, and I am extremely satisfied with their performance on this visit!! I WILL recommend them in the future!!

I've been going to Dr. Boekman for years. That right there is the first clue that he's awesome, I keep coming back and will continue to do so. He is very knowledgeable and willing to educate his patients with the info they need to make the best decisions for their vision. Being able to trust your health care provider is so important these days and I will continue to go to EyeLand and recommend it to anyone looking for comprehensive eye care.

I have been going to Eyeland for about 15 years. Every time I hear of someone needing a checkup, I send them here! When you make an appointment, your time is just as important as theirs. You are seen quickly and with a smile. Once you get into a room, the doctors take their time and make sure to fit you for the perfect lens or glasses. Once you are finished with the doctor, you can slide right over and get glasses from some of the best people! Eyeland is the best place to go for all ages!!!

I get results when visiting but it's hard to keep up with Dr. Bloom on occasion, especially when looking at screens of your eye. I have the beginnings of macular degeneration and am 72, and not as speedy as I used to be. And talking 100 miles per hour I don't catch everything.

Dr. Bloom was booked when I came in for a minor emergency and I saw another doctor who was very helpful. Dr. Bloom came in later for a consultation and both doctors took good care of me. Originally, there were no apts. for the day I wanted to come in but because of two cancellations they called me back to let me know and I was able to go in an hour after I called.

Dr Reagan O’rear is the best! I have suffered from dry eye for 21 years. She is the very first one, of many, to take the time to help me. She doesn’t give up. My problem isn’t resolved but it is 50% better and I know she will continue to work for the resolution of my battle with dry eyes.

The person taken my appt should have verified my insurance before I got to the appointment. She has a copy of my medical card. Which I simply called and got the correct eye insurance information. After she tells me that I need to call and find out what the number to the insurance is, she and the other two girls are busy tying to figure out who is taking a half day that day.

Dr. Awalt is always awesome! However during this visit we were concerned with the doctor assistants. My daughter was concerned with the assistant that helped her with her contacts. It was the first time she ever tried contacts and felt like the assistant was getting frustrated with her. Several of the assistants seemed unfriendly. The receptionist was awesome and friendly.

Unfortunately, I failed to mark the 3 pair of glasses measured for the new lenses. I have asked that I be sent description of glasses measured for new lens and I have not received it. I have 2 more similar glasses and want to be sure I bring right ones when lenses are ready. As far as my overall rating, it is excellent depending how eye glasses work out.
