I was told this is a very good place to go so decided to try it so called got right in next day went he found an issue referred me to wolf clinic they had me an appointment next day which had to have a laser surgery that day emergency done so glad for the great eye doctor I saw for finding this issue if wasn’t found early could have not been a good end so thank you so much for the attention and care you take for the patients

When making my appointment, the Receptionist , I do not remember her name, was so helpful by listening to why I wanted a female Dr. Checking in was easy. Assistant (Brei, I think) was thorough. Dr. Meurll (I am sure this is misspelled) was so pleasant, explained everything, listened, and truly cared about what she was providing for my examination; caring! Then there was Ireland, super service, listened to my concerns and wants. Assisted with frame choices, and researched my payment options. Pleasant conversation, and also truly cared about her customer service. Just a wonderful experience, and looking so forward to my new glasses!

An the young lady that did my reading glasses prescription was also very informative. I really enjoyed my experience at the Ankeny location. Eye care of Iowa provides fantastic service. My visit to the Ankeny location was pleasant from start to finish! I was able to get in immediately for an emergency visit. Okay The receptionists were friendly and knowledgeable and helped me complete my health insurance form. My Dr. was phenomenal relieving me of my fears with the infection in my eye. Finally, the assistant who checked mr out was extremely service oriented and helped me with repairing my glasses. I heart Eye Care of Iowa West Des Moines and now, Ankeny!

Last year I tried Wolf Eye Clinic because i thought it would be a more in depth exam, it wasn't. We loved the front desk receptionist and also the person who checked our BP and went over our medical history/meds. The eye Dr. did a great job of explaining my dry eye and affirmed I was already using the right tricks/meds to alieve my symptoms. Also explained that there is a procedure I cold receive in Pleasant Hill to further help. Over all, great experience.

I was delighted to make a trip to Ankeny to meet Dr. Nesheim. I had been having trouble seeing for several weeks. He checked my eyes and assured me there was nothing wrong with my eyes, except extremely dry eyes. He gave me some samples and said I should use drops five times a day. I am encouraged and will follow his orders.

The appointment went off without a hitch, there was barely any wait once the standard personal/insurance form was filled out. All the steps were explained clearly, and the the atmosphere was a very good balance of informal / professional. There was no pressure to sell new glasses or frames, the options were explained in detail, and it was clear that I, the customer, was in control of the decision to buy/not buy new glasses.

My 6 yr old recently had her first eye dr visit at the Ankeny clinic. Dr. Jason Nesheim was very thorough and patient with her as she worked her way through reading all the letters during her exam. This may be partly my fault but my dry eye problem is really severe and I would have like to pursue it further. I should have stressed that the issue is more than uncomfortable and that I'm experiencing a lot of pain with my eyes. It wakes me up at night and disturbs my sleep. The other issue is the selection and price of the eyeware. It's very expensive.

From calling & making the appointments to the end when picking up our glasses, everyone was friendly & helpful. The receptionist, Terri, was personable & friendly. Dr. Dieleman was upbeat & made the eye exam seemless. When selecting glasses, I think it was the office manager that helped us (I think her name was Christy), explained what our insurance covered & what glasses would have the best discounts with our insurance. My prescription had not changed much & I did not feel any pressure to look at new glasses, but had planned on getting new ones. Once she had seen what I was looking for, she picked a pair out that I had missed & also went & got the other color they come in & they were perfect. When we picked up our glasses, everyone remembered us & explained the warranty for them if we needed any adjustments to come back. Thanks for making it a great experience during 2020.

First time visit and every aspect was handled very professionally. Staff was very welcoming and pleasant. I wasn’t ready to buy new glasses yet, but the staff reviewed my insurance and gave me a couple of estimates so that I would know what the cost would be when it came time for my next pair. When Dr. Blasco heard about my family history of glaucoma he promptly set up the testing for it. Definitely would recommend this clinic and DrBlasco.

I had some sudden changes in my vision so checked on line and found the clinic. Made the call and explained what was happening and I was immediately seen! People are very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient as I decided on frames and budget considerations. There was no waiting--got right in on time. GREAT, darling selection of frames satisfied my picky sense of style, which is not my experience in most places. Frames are a little pricey, but I thought the overall experience was worth every penny since I didn't have to take the time to go somewhere else to order glasses.

My visit was my first time there. It was excellent from the front desk all the way through the visit. My only hesitation on ordering glasses was the pricing, being around $650.00 after the insurance involvement was hard to accept. I understand the quality of all the products involved warrant the expenses, but in comparison to competitive outlets , it ends up basically twice the cost. That’s the highest amount I ever was charged in all the years I have needed glasses .However I am still considering the purchase . I will be letting Christy know.

We recently moved to Ankeny, and had not set up with an eye doctor yet. Late on a recent Saturday morning I developed pain in my eye that wasn't going away. I searched the internet for an eye doctor that was open Saturday morning. When I called I was told to come right away, which I did. The staff was very kind and professional to me. The doctor likewise - I appreciate so much that he did a great eye exam and reported that I had an eye infection. It would have been a horrible weekend without their kindness to treat me just before closing time. I am so thankful - by the next morning the treatment kicked in and I felt much better!! You will see me again!

First time here. Regular eye doctor moved away. Wanted provider who offered Saturday appointments. I noticed right away the team in the office was on point and it reminded me of the Wolfe Clinic doing the 3D test and color test. While looking at the eye glasses I noticed lots of cute frames. I hadn't been to the eye doctor in YEARS. I was a little nervous, but everyone at EyeCare of Iowa was extremely knowledgable and made me comfortable. The tech who helped me find my glasses picked out the pair I bought the very first try. The Doctor explained every step in detail, and made sure I knew the importance of why I was there. I know I made the right choice.

I used Eyecare of Iowa in Ankeny recently for pediatric and adult eye care exams for my family. None of us currently have a prescription but I have our eyes checked annually. The staff and doctors worked very well with all of us--being patient with a semi cooperative baby and toddler during the actual appointment, and made us feel comfortable in the waiting room, ultimately making the experience a positive one for all. Though we did not need to make any further purchases, the glasses available are stylish and they seem to have a wide selection.

I am giving such a poor rating based on customer service and time. I close to an hour and a half at my appointment but was only seen by the doctor or assistants for 20-30 minutes of that time. I was moved from room to room and sent back to the waiting room for a period. I saw the doctor a total of three times for less than five minutes but waited 15-20 minutes in between each of those times while he saw other patients. I would have rather rescheduled my appointment if I knew it would take longe than an hour. Finally, when I was finished I had a very negative experience with one of the assistants who did not seem to be able to explain why I couldn't get my contact prescription at the time of the appointment rather than come back again. Overall horrible experience and I do plan to come back again nor would I recommend this clinic to anyone.

I love this place. The staff is always so friendly and helpful at the front desk, with appointments, insurance, whatever I am needing at the time. All of us in my family have glasses (2 adults and 2 young boys) so I feel like we are there frequently. We see Dr. Ward most of the time and he is wonderful. He takes so much time with you and if you are having issues, tries to work with you to get everything just right. I really appreciate that. Also, I usually work with Michal in the optical department, and she is fantastic. Helped me pick out a pair of frames and gave me her HONEST opinion and has done so with my husband and boys as well. Has also been very helpful when I have been there for frequent "accidents" with the kids and their glasses. Everyone there has been so great, I recommend them to everyone I know!

Everyone here is extremely friendly and helpful! The communication is excellent! We have been nothing but pleased with the Ankeny location since we switched from another eye care doctor. Our one suggestion is to provide a wider selection of lower priced eyewear. Seems like the selection is high-priced as we struggled to find any frames that were less than $300. However, they were happy to provide us with alternative locations that our insurance could be used that had alternative selections. We also had new insurance and they called and then explained our new coverage fully. This is a great location to take care of your eye care needs!

I was given bad news and a difficult decision to adopt to prism lenses and was left with many questions and felt pressured due to another appointment after mine. I left a message to cancel my order later that night and the very next day Dr. Blasco called me at home and spent 30 minutes of his time to help ease my concerns. Due to my personality I am still unsure and scared of the changes but Dr. Blasco went out of his way to help me in this transition and because of that I would gladly refer friends and family to Eye Care of Iowa. I dont like my situation but they spent over 2 1/2 hours with me to help me understand and fully explained my different options including an hour spent explaining insurance and my financial options. Very friendly staff who remained friendly and forgiving even when I started getting hostile. Sadly I do not remember the womans name who helped me in the front of the house but she has great interpersonal and customer service skills and I appreciate her.

The doctor didn't get to know me at all. He didn't ask me what concerns I had. I felt as though he had his mind made up about my eye and didn't want to listen to what I had to say about it. there was names of other patients on the computers in the exam room for others to view. Here was makeup residue on the equipment from the last person the doctor examined. When I put on the sunglasses during the pre tests they were extremely dirty with grease and makeup. The person who did my pre test couldn't tell me why my blood pressure was being taken. I was just curious about it. The doctor dialated my eyes and when I told him it didn't feel right he asked if I had ever had them dialated during an exam and I told him no. He responded by saying other doctors should have been doing this because otherwise they can miss a lot. I felt like he thought he was superior to the dr. I was previously seeing which was frustrating. Long wait and appointment lasted over an hour and a half.

Perhaps this was due to my appointment time in the afternoon, but I wished he would have spent more time with me or even paused between sentences so I could ask questions. I would not recommend another doctor that we've seen in your office, but I feel we are blessed to have Dr. Nick Blasco as our eye doctor. He is the only doctor that has found issues with both of my sons and have helped my children. He's the only doctor to teach me about Omega Oils and treating my dry eyes. Only thing to be said is to maybe not take me to three different rooms? Seemed like I was moving around between 2 rooms a lot. Maybe just have an eye pressure testing in each room? Maybe they are too expensive to keep one in each room, but it seemed like it was portable and it literally took like 2 seconds to do. Just an idea though! :) Must compliment Alli though! She really helped out a lot in figuring out how to get me a good deal on contacts and was sooo nice! She is a keeper! :)
