I had my yearly checkup to see if anything needed to be changed with my glasses. Which thankfully nothing has. That's good news seeing with being treated for a number of things and glaucoma is one of them. But Dr Showalter did see somethings that she wants me to see Dr George who treats me for glaucoma. Again if she had not seen something did not look right I would have just thought nothing of it. Thank You Again

I felt very safe during my visit to the Eye Doctors for my eye exam. All the representatives followed the necessary protocols of keeping patients safe and protected. Each station was cleaned well. No issues with eye exam at all. Three years ago I ordered glasses and frames from optical. I couldn’t see out of them. I took them back, it was worse. So they went in the drawer. The glasses and frames I bought last year were good. I could see through them. I brought my old ones back to show the Dr Showalter at that time. She tested them and was very disappointed at how low the prescription were in the frames and I was given a discount. I’m hoping the new ones I get in a week will be ok. They are using my frames from 3 years ago for my new lenses, since I’d only worn them 4 weeks total. The woman who did the measuring the last time, measured this time. I hope they come to me ok. Thank you.

Your office staff was very courteous from reception and through my entire appointment. I was greeted warmly and I hate it that I can't remember her name. She has shorter gray hair. She is very kind. Sophia took me through all the initial testing and she was very thorough and explained each part very well. Dr. Showalter asked all the right questions and confirmed the previous testing that Sophia had performed. Emily did a wonderful job helping me select the right frames and I appreciated her input when it came down to a choice between the final two sets. It was a very thorough and enjoyable appointment. This was my first time at your office as my insurance has changed and I needed a new provider. I had been a patient of Dr. Stephens at LensCrafters and thought my appointment was with her, instead I saw Dr. Showalter and I was pleased. I would recommend these docs to anyone. Most of the staff rushed me through the appointment, explaining nearly nothing. Even the doctor didnt explain much to me about my eyes or my vision, only promoted going to her dry eye clinic. She said I had a prescription change that warranted an upgrade in my lenses but the staff would not let me get new lenses in my existing frames and instead tried to push buying a completely new pair of glasses. I left knowing nothing about how my vision changed or even my new prescription. You could tell it was 4:00 on a Friday because the staff treated me as such.

I was greeted by very nice and knowledgeable people and was told that there was a cancellation that afternoon at 3:00 and asked if I would be interested. I liked the notion of getting my eyes examined right away. As soon as I completed the paperwork a very nice lady (Connie) started the work of getting me ready for Doctor Showalter to complete my examination which was very good and thorough. Dr. Ritchie did a good job of explaining the complications of diabetes for the eye, and what I needed to do to prevent any further problems. The only problems I had was my old friend from Parkersburg Catholic refused to be my doctor, and the abscence of a deep discount for friends and family. I told my wife that the old flame must have died somewhere over the years-she just laughed. Overall good experience and would recommend your business to anyone looking for an eye doctor. P.S-What became of your brother Lymon? I will always remember you and your brother. That's what you ought to put in your office the picture of you in your cheer-leader uniform.

I have been there several years and myself and husband and 4 kids have all had exams with 3 of us needing contacts and glasses. I have spent a lot of money there over the years and one time I am late for my sons contact fitting you want to treat me like a convict. I do not appreciate that at all! I can understand if I was a new customer or if I made this a habit of being late but in all my years of being a patient there l, this was the first time! I was getting blood work and a pregnant lady passed out next to me and caused me to be the 20 minutes late. I live 45 minutes away and was using leave from work and my son was missing school. They were able to reschedule me for an hour and a half later that day and I asked if I could wait in the lobby in case they were able to squeeze him in and was told no. I have one more appointment there for my son before they will release his prescription and will not be back! Your office lady has caused you to lose 6 patients just from my family alone!

I appreciated the professional review with exception of first person who did I believe 3 of my tests, the last being field test where she kept interrupting my concentration with moving my head and telling me to close my mouth.All the positioning of chin piece should have been done before test and then to have a new person at the end was a surprise- should not be done that way.

I had an appointment at 4:45pm, at which I was 10min early. I was not called back foir my testing until approx 5:20pm. Very dissatisfied with the wait time. I was very satisfied with the technician assisting me with the selection of my new glasses, she was very professional & had an upbeat personality.

I feel I was treated very good from the receptionist to the doctor. I will say the nurse that ran me through the checks was very nice A+. I had a fair understanding of my problem, the reason I answered no was after a new set of glasses I still have the same problems. I have another appointment the 1st of May I feel Dr. Showalter will have some answers. Thank you all.

The only thing I would change is to let patients know of any discounts they might be eligible for, ex. AARP, AAA etc. I was waiting for my glasses to be made and heard another lady getting a AARP discount, which I would be eligle for also. After mentioning it to the technician, I was given the discount. More signs where patients can see would be nice!! Price is a little high compared to some other optical businesses,I only bought lenses and tint, no frames, and without the AARP discount my bill was $307. This is the reason for answer to question #8, products and services was fine.

The eye exam and getting glasses process was very good! Although when I went to pick up my glasses for their 1 hour service it took over 2 hours. And then when I got the glasses they ordered reading glasses instead of glasses for distance so I had to wait additional time for them to correct my glasses. After the glasses were corrected everything was great!

My visit went very well. I appreciate the fact that I was taken in at my appointment time and waiting was eliminated. Everyone I came into contact with was very courteous and answered all my questions. I feel that I am in very capable hands with Dr. Showalter and I find her very approachable and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to make a referral.

Exam went well, but that is why I ask for Dr. Ritchie. I expect good service, understandable explanations. Did not answer 7,8, 9 as I do not like to get glasses there due to cost and service over the years. Seems always a battle on pricing and even a refund later on overcharges is not satisfying. Should not be happening to begin with.

My visit was great! I can’t remember who initially saw me before Dr Showalter for all of the tests, but she was great! Very kind. After Dr. Showalter came in and finished her exam, this assistant (sorry if you aren’t called assistants!) gave me pricing options for different contacts and really helped me. Thanks!

Very disappointed in my eye exam. Eyes were dialated before exam and Dr Showalter spent very little time with me. The girl giving pre exam did all the work. Not sure I even have a good new prescription. Will never return to Eye Doctors.

I love my glasses. This is the first time I want to wear them. I would get glasses and never wear them. The lady who helped me in picking out glasses was great and her measuring was correct. My bifocals are in the right place for the first time. I can read with them and not using over the counter bifocals. Thank you!!!

Re item 7, Dr. Ritchie indicated that my prescription had not changed enough to require new glasses but if I broke my current ones or decided I wanted new frames that I should use the new prescription. I very much appreciated that there was absolutely no pressure to buy new frames.

I recently broke the frames to my eyeglasses and went to the office to see if a repair was possible...unfortunately a repair wasn't possible, but the staff was very helpful, got me in to see Dr. Showalter right away for a new exam and was fitted for a new pair of glasses, so a new pair are on the way !...many thanks to the friendly staff, Emily, Ida, and Carrie and of course Dr. Showalter for getting me back on track quickly !...hope I didn't leave anybody out or get a name wrong, and thank you!...

I was highly impressed with the kind friendly and still professional staff from start to finish. I loved that the whole staff wore white lab coats, very uniformed and you knew who was a staff member from clients. What impressed me the most was the compressive eye exam itself. I felt that my eye exam was exceptional. Customer service was excellent and very professional. I am also employed in health care and under- stand the importance of excellent customer experience. You nailed it. Now...the nurse in me saw two things. First the young student dr never washed his hands before administering the eye gtt. Second, when the gtts. were administered the dropper got contaminated when my eye lashes touched the bottle. I realize most offices use multi dose eye drops, however his technique could cause a wavy of conjunctivitis. Dr Showalter was exceptional. Every person that I was in contact with deserves a "You are Great".
