Great customer service! My rating of past experiences were 5 stars. However plan to wait an hour past your appointment time to be seen and some name brand frames are no longer carried.

i made an appointment weeks ahead so i could get in and out thought my appointment would be 30 minutes i got there at 10:15 my appointment was for 10:30 doctor didn't get to office till 10:30 and there were 4 people waiting before me i didn't get out of there till 12:00 not happy at all i had to pass on some of my eye check because it took to so long one guy walked out with eyes dialated he was so mad

There is not enough staff to handle the appointments, foot traffic, and people picking up prescriptions. Always long wait times.

Appointment went relatively smoothly. I appreciated that I was presented options to relieve dry eyes (from which I have suffered for years) I like that they take VSP and were able to submit the claim rather than leaving it to me.

Eye Designs Optometry is the very best there is. The entire staff is kind, professional, and thorough. If you have to leave a message in the hours they’re closed, they will immediately return your call when the office opens again.

Eye doctor was pleasant. The rest of the visit was unpleasant from beginning. In addition, there were no frames available in my size.

I went in just to look at frames and see about setting an appointment if there was something I liked, since I had just gotten my new insurance figured out and had been to this location in the past and always had wonderful service. Fortunately for me, they were able to fit me in right away (I didn’t even have time to finish the paperwork)! Dr Murphy even took extra time towards the end to show me my scans, and even took an extra video to show me how I’m blinking and how this is affecting my eyes (causing mild dryness and burning now, but if not corrected it will get worse) and gave me some tips, including an app, to help correct the issue. After the appointment, I had two wonderful gentlemen (one had to leave for lunch) help me pick out frames and go through all of the lens options, pricing, and benefits. They kept the experience entertaining the whole way through, and were honestly helpful when picking out what looked best on me. The only thing that was forgotten (which I forgot about too, so it’s more on me than anyone else) was getting a prescription/exam for contact lenses. It was asked at the beginning, and I said yes, then we all forgot about it. And truthfully, it’s not a big deal because new glasses are more important right now (my current pair is nearing 10years) and I can always get them next time. All in all, it was a wonderful visit, and I can’t wait to get my new glasses!

Over all the docor was awesome and explained everything very well. As far as the rest was pretty disappointing. Not to mention my symptoms were mention to the whole room!!! So much for privacy. I’ve been going to here for some time and to have that experience. Sad to say it’ll be my last, really amberrased and felt humiliated when I left.

Excellent staff, very open and comforting. I was very tired having arrived back from a trip late the day before and they were very understanding. They provided god information and the doctor took the time to discuss my developing cataracts. Wonderful experience despite my being so very tired.

Every time that I have an appointment it takes at least 45 minutes to be seen. Even your doctors agree with this. It took over 2 hours to just have my eyes checked and dilated it should not take this long. You need to schedule your appointments better so that people don't have to wait as long. I did not even stay to look at glasses that I needed as that was an even longer wait even though I had an appointment. I left your practice for a few years because of the wait time and decided to try your business out again only to find out nothing has changed. No one even greeted me when I walked thru the door I had to say hi to the person and wait till she was done texting someone for her to respond. Not happy at all!!!

My experience felt like I was at a car dealership. It was an up sale pitch every step of my visit (from the exam, To Dr Consultation, to my lens and frame selection). Eye Design was my place to for eye exams and eye glasses purchases for the past 15yrs. I've felt the way I did ever not had that type of experience. Needless to say I may not use Eye Design again for my eye exams and services.

My family has been going to Eye Designs Optometry for probably over ten years now. The service is always high quality; the optometrists and opticians always strike me as knowledgeable and professional (my father is a physician, so the standard is set pretty high). Their exams are comprehensive and I recommend spending the extra $39 for the retinal imaging alternative to dilation. Like most people, I always hated getting my eyes dilated because I was pretty much useless for the next several hours (plus it always give me a headache.) I would say the only (minor) negative is the price of glasses, which admittedly the quality is very high. But getting new glasses usually sets me back a good $500 to $700, even with insurance. All the "necessary options" (anti-glare, polarized, blue-tech, etc.) adds up. This year my prescription changed and I needed to buy both computer glasses and new sunglasses. I didn't go "name brand" (Oakley, Maui Jim or Rayban) - my total out the door was over $700. You're lucky if you can find frames for under $230 (I couldn't).

Always a delight to go for my eye examination and pick out new glasses. The optometrist that time was different than in all my other examinations. She showed me on screen the digital pictures of my eyes. I really liked her and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

Appointment set for 11:15, planned on being there no longer than 12:30. As normal, didn't get called until after 11:15. Went through the exam, had to wait again for someone to assist me with new glasses (was planning on getting new ones, again). Finally was assisted by 12:20ish. Needed to use the restroom, asked where closet restroom was & was told she'd wait for me; gone 5 minutes and now she's helping someone else & ignores me while I stand at the front door. 3-5 minutes later, she finally agnoliges me and asks me to wait. I said no, I'm in a hurry. She hesitated, and then essentially stated I didn't have a choice. I then walked out. A few minutes later, I get a call from the office, I assume to apologize & try to rectify the issue, to the contrary, the person calling was only concerned that I left without paying my $10 co-pay. Really? With all the glasses I've purchased through this office, I honestly don't believe I've ever had exceptional customer service here. I've been wanting to change to a different place, but have dreaded it. Well, this has done it! Good job! #Sarcasm

Too many add - on's. Everything discussed was either an extra 30-60 dollars and I know I don't need the items. Too pushy. Dr. Pham did not listen to my concerns. Seriously disappointed with the whole experience. Eye Designs used to be my favorite. Even the reception staff was not very helpful. I felt that my glasses I wore in were not fitting right, but they said they were "fine" and didn't even touch them. Oh well, times have changed...

I have been going here for many years. Never have any problems with the establishment. My only complaint is with the terrible parking at the mall. ha ha ha ha but that has nothing to do with the optometrist. Everything is always great when I am there.

Dr Murphy did a comprehensive eye exam and took time to explain eye care to me, I appreciated his kindness and professional manner. My Optician patient services specialist Lillyen was a gem. She helped me with products to treat my dry eyes condition and taught me how to use them. My plan of care was explained to me clearly.

I was disappointed at how high the prices were for glasses and took my prescription somewhere else and got the glasses I wanted for exactly the price I wanted. Loved the Optometrist though. Sweet lady.

Always love coming here. This most recent visit I was really impressed with the new machine they have to scan your retinas and puts it on a computer for you and the doctor to see. No more eye dialiation! Very cool

appointment was average. Dr. Murphy and assistants did their job. Q&A resulted in new prescription on lenses. Prescription provided was wrong (Dr. or assistant error unknown) Optometry place making my glasses discovered mistake and called for correction

It was a great visit but I waited way to long and plus I had came in the day before with my daughter and waited 50 mins just to get in to see the doctor so am not very happy waiting over 1 1/2 for both appointment

The only issue I had was the person who assisted me didn't understand my coverage- (I can have regular glasses +computer glasses) so I need to return and complete paperwork for that- luckily I knew I had that available- chose the frames and had everything filled out. Just need to pay copay and sign everything.

Enjoyed meeting Dr. Pham. She was very knowledgeable and explained so much. Absolutely loved her! Met with Carol afterwards for glasses/fitting. Wonderful consultant. She was friendly and personable and treated me as if we were long time friends. I have been a patient for many years but this last visit was by far the best!

Your prices for regular glasses are too high! With my insurance and my wife's, I still have to pay $181 for a regular reading glasses? Too much! I will be looking for a different eye clinic.

The staff was very professional and informative. I would only suggest that early morning appointments start on time. You shouldn't have to wait 30 minutes when you are the second appointment. Does not bode well as the day progresses.

I was given the wrong contacts to try on after my evaluation. The clerk was not sure what she was suppose to be giving me. Then when that was sorted out I was still sent home with the wrong trial contacts. I had to make another trip to the office to correct that. These are just little inconviences my do make a difference in my experience.

The flexibility with rescheduling appt is really what I like most. Only comment was that the machine to check the eye (for glaucoma?) is broken. It would have been a great alternative instead of having to dilate my eyes which I hate doing. Hopefully it would be functional soon, so I don't have to get a schedule for my eye to get dilated.

There were multiple appointments scheduled at the same time, so I waited 27 minutes past my appointment time. I arrived before this person with my same appointment time, and this person was seen before me. I'd appreciate being scheduled at a later time to avoid waiting for someone else to be done with their appointment. Don't really understand why appointments would be scheduled at the same time with the same doctor anyway.

While I feel that the Dr. did a good job of describing the symptoms and concerns to exposure of light, it felt way too rushed. After my exam, I waited for 20 minutes for someone to assist me to pick out a pair of frames. There were only 2 staff members aiding patrons. The receptionist finally helped me.

Very small waiting room. Usually there is no place to sit when you check in. Front office staff could use more customer service skills but the doctors are excellent and is really the only reason why I continue to go there.

I was called with and emailed a reminder that my appointment was at 11:45am. When I arrived, the staff said they made a mistake and my appointment was at 12:45pm. They said they would seat me as soon as possible. However, I wasn't seen until 12:30pm and not brought into the doctor's office until nearly 1pm. The doctor did not come into the office for over 20 minutes. I did not leave the office until nearly 2pm. I was with my young daughter. The inconvenience was exceptional.

This is the second time I arrive for my visit and my insurance hasn't been pulled. So by the time in ready to sit down with the person helping me with my new glasses, they have to get on the computer and pull my insurance. This added about 15-20 minutes to my visit. In the grand scheme of things not a super big deal, but since it's the second time it happens, was kind of annoyed.

I plan to go to Kaiser for my lenses and glasses from now on, as the costs at Eye Designs are way above what VSP covers. I also plan to discontinue VSP, as I'm paying $25 monthly for a plan that doesn't even fully cover my eye exam, not to mention less than half of the cost of my lenses.

I was in the office for one hour, 20 min awaiting someone to assist me with ordering my glasses, finally had to leave. I made the appointment however was not able to order my glasses in a timely manor; they are still outstanding.

Optician Paul was rude as hell to me. I politely asked for his assistance in getting warranty on silhouette frames. He as much said he would not help and insinuated I might have stolen the frames and didn't deserve a warranty. He claimed you guys only warrant frames for two years. The manufacturer gave me a lifetime warranty against breaking. He said go find out claims process yourself online. While he was demeaning me in front of a store full of patrons my wife pulled up the silhouette page and showed him that it said to make a warranty claim you HAVE to go through your eye care professional. As an end user I have ZERO access because your employee Paul Gibson, Assistant Manager/A.B.O.C at Galleria mall was absolutely no help at all. Not only no help but an argumentative jerk. I'm told I'm out of characters. If you truly care about feedback, call me at 916-612-4685. There are five of us in my family and unless there is satisfactory resolution to this debacle we are done with you.

This was my first visit to your office for an actual appointment and I did think it was a good experience. The only annoyance was how incredibly late the ran. Two hours was a bit unexpected. Over all it was good and I will bring my husband in now. Everyone was really nice.

I think you have a great list and selection of glasses to choose from but fashion sunglasses seems limited, unless you want something like maui jim.. Want to see Tiffany and Ralph Lauren but I understand you can't have all choices:)

I am always welcomed with friendly staff at my appts. I really enjoyed & appreciated Dr. Phan because not only was she very personable, she also was very informative about my eyes in relation to my work environment & what lenses would benefit me. She related recent/relevant studies to back up her recommendations which helped me feel informed & better educated about my eyes. I left feeling very good about my glass/lense purchase. I love the frame selection the store always offers as well. I'm a very happy patient. Thank you.

I have been a patient for years; but this visit was exceptional. Dr. Pham took the time to explain what was going on with my eyes and explained the differences between computer glasses an regular glasses. I felt very informed after my exam. Paul then took over to help me find a frame style that would fit my face and small nose bridge to provide best vision. Thank you both for an exceptional visit.

I've had to go in twice in the last month for a pair of broken glasses and for a 1 year check up. Both times There was a receptionist that was very rude and unwelcoming. She did not demonstrate any customer service. She was very short and appeared to be annoyed. I don't believe she should be a receptionist if she is not going to be welcoming and willing to help. It's a bad first impression for new customers and a turn off for existing customers. Otherwise. the other employees and optician I worked with were very nice and helpful.

I love Dr. Murphy and his office. I've been his loyal customer for nearly 30 yrs. The service never changes - everyone is efficient, polite and helpful. I like that Dr Murphy is well versed in all facets of eyecare - Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Cataracts, etc. etc. I feel like I am in good hands and trust his judgement. He is also very fair in his pricing and service.
