I had a very nice experience. The staff was very nice and took client health safety very serious. Patients who came in with a mask were asked to leave. And everything was cleaned before you went in as well as in front of you. (Very nice to see) the only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was the pricing of the eyewear. It was a bit expensive. Otherwise I will come back when I need my eye exams and eyewear.

Coming in and out was a breeze. The visit was straight forward. It took us only an hour for both my husband and myself to get our eyes checked and picked our prescription glasses. Dr. Murphy and all the staff were nice and professional. They followed Covid -19 guidelines in handling patient safety. I highly recommend Eye Designs Optometry for eye care and eyeglasses needs.

I wish that when you did a adjustment on glasses you might check how they sit on my ears. They felt great but after 1 day I realized 1 side is rubbing & the other side is bent to stick out & make the glasses lopsided. My new glasses have bothered my eyes since I got them & the mans comment to me was to place blame that if I sit in front of the computer for 8 hours they should hurt.

Service was ok. Received friendly service when coming in and back office service was good, however there glassware selection isn’t pleasing, overpriced & they had me select my frames after my eyes were diolated. When telling them I was on a budget and I needed to stay under my Ins allowance they tried to claim I would have to pay out of pocket the difference. When being assertive that they had glasses under my Ins amount they pulled a tray out of a locked cabinet (not viewable to the public) were very short with me (as soon as I said I thought I liked the first one I touched they took the tray and put it back in the cabnet and sized me. Then they said I owed $35.00, payable now no option to pay at pick up) and wen I requested my receipt they said they would email it to me and I still haven’t rcv one (week ago). Not happy and won’t be returning next yr exam

I was extremely pleased with the customer service and professionalism provided by the staff at Eye Designs Optometry at Arden. Firstly, I was in town for only two days from a deployment and so I dropped by the store without an appointment. I saw the sign in the window when I walked to the door which indicated I needed to make an appointment. A staff person came out and I explained my issues to her. I did not know if I had an active prescription on file so she went and checked for me, returned and advised me they had an available appointment slot for me right then if I was interested. She invited me in and informed me I could begin looking at glasses and to put any I try in in the tray below the shelves.

I have been coming for years and love Dr. Huynh, and of course, Dr. Murphy and Dr. Pham. I also feel especially welcomed when Kamika at the front desk greets me by name...and my name is unusual. All of the Doctors I've seen over the past couple years have taken a personal interest in trying to help me get my contacts prescription just right when I have an astigmatism and one eye and now need bifocals and was suffering from dry eyes for a while. There are many options closer to home, but I stay loyal to Eye Designs, even though it means putting up with traffic at the mall, because they're worth it..

The first person to speak to me furing my exam spoke broken English and right away told me my diabetes exam would cost me extra! This was not something that I was aware of! She then told me that my diagnosis would make that part of the exam free, but my blood was already boiling at that point. Then during the main exam the doctor did detailed exams of my eyelids and told me if issues, but at the end of the appointment said nothing about treatments. Top that off with cost of over $600 for glasses, and I am looking elsewhere.

the office environment was pleasant as were the assistants, however, I'm not too happy with the selection of eye glasses available to select from. I had to leave the office without glasses also because my eyes were dilated and I was at a disadvantage when making a selection. I have search the internet and did find a pair of glasses that I would like to get however, they are extremely pricey. I will continue to look for right frames and follow-up with your office to complete my prescription. thank you for your time and professionalism, P.S. the style of frames that I am interested in is: Cat Eye by Face a Face in the lines blue light violet, would you be able to find a pair comparable to theses? Ms. Laurie is the best, I watch how she is with the customers and when you get someone else, you wish you had her. Very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful, never seems to be too involved, unless with a customer, to assist. My parents and I have been coming for years and we are always glad when we get a chance to have Ms. Laurie as our Optician, Arden Way store is nice and clean, customer service, with Anita, has been hit or miss, for the most part, it is okay. Last time I called, Parents and I could not have the same day appointment, said a doctor stated that families 3 or more could not be booked together. We also called to say that we were stuck in traffic and a lady stated that they were booked and could not accommodate us if we were later than 15 minutes, when we go there, within the fifteen minutes, no one was in there, no one was in the back. I did not appreciate the commentary received. They seem to have new doctors and it does not feel the same as it used too. Their frames are nice and affordable.

Love Dr. Murphy...He has always been the one to correct my vision the best way possible...Staff is always great...but...I did not get a good explanation of what was involved in the eye treatment for mites before the procedure or after until I expressed frustration....I should have had a WRITTEN full explanation of the office procedure and then what it would entail each day when I went home...too many names of products.... and needed a clear sequence of what I needed to do on a daily basis...Also needed to know what products were covered under the procedure and what products I would need to buy and where.....Another thing that caught me off guard was the fact that there were two antibiotics to take afterwards...I would have never signed on for 30 days if I had known in advance about the expense which was $250 AFTER my insurance helped pay for it...Anyway...Not too happy

I've had a lot of great experiences, but this was probably the best. The staff was on the ball from the check-in, to the pre-exam eye tests, to the exam itself, to picking out frames! The wait time was way too long and there so many patients sitting around waiting there isn't anywhere to sit. The staff seemed like they didn't care much. I wanted to order glasses after my visit with the doctor but didn't want to have to wait another 30 minutes to be seen.

I have been a customer of this store, and a patient of its health care providers, for ten years. Going there has been one of the best choices I've made. My eyes require powerful correction. As I have aged, my anxiety over my vision has grown. However, the clinicians at Eye Designs have always given me that sense of security that comes when you know that you are in expert hands. Further, for a store its size the range of eyeglasses they offer is fantastic. I'm always able to find one (or more) with the right aesthetic and style for me. The salespeople never push me too hard in any direction and they always let me know if a pair doesn't look good on me. That is something that I really value. I can recommend Eye Design Optometry without any reservation.

I am an existing patient and have been with Eye Design for over 4 years. It appears as if with every passing year the customer service has gone done tremendously which is unfortunate. Arrived for for a scheduled eye exam at 1:30PM, I did not leave until 3PM! Optometrist did not explain if my vision changed. Left after he was done without communicating the exam results. I was expecting him to return and go over the results with me but instead was told by an assistant to go sit upfront and wait to be "checked out" (pay co-pay and order contacts). I waited for over half an hour while I observed a walk-in being helped before me. At the checkout, was charged for a procedure (retinal screening) I opted out of and was advised there was an additional contact fitting fee since my eye powers changed (which they did not). Very frustrating experience. Highly unimpressed with customer service. Neither myself or my husband will be returning back to this location.

When I called, the girl was very polite and cheerful and said to come right in to get my glasses fixed but I also figured since I'll be in I should get my eye exam. I asked and was set up with an appointment at 11am which was great!!! I came in got my glasses fixed and my exam!!! Everyone as always was super friendly and accommodating! I love coming here and I'll continue to do so!! The fast service is also great since I was at lunch and returned before 12:30 for work :)

I would never recommend your business. I have been in three times and every single time I was seen way past my appointment time. I was in last week to finalize my contact prescription, however I never even saw the doctor because I waited over 50 minutes past my appointment time and couldn't manage enough patience to stay longer and watch people who came after me seen first. I brought this up to the receptionist multiple times who ensured me I would be seen next, then I watched others being called back first. Not to mention I arrived 15 minutes early, so I really waited over an hour. The girl with purple hair that works at the front desk has the worst attitude and was so confused as to what was going on the entire time. It's a small business and they were just sitting there, I can't imagine that it would be that difficult to look at the customers sitting right in front of them. I would rather walk around with mediocre contacts than wait for one minute longer in this business.

This place is either terrific when it's adequately staffed or awful when it's not. I've never experienced an "ok" inbetween. The staff provides excellent customer service - if they have the time to give it. I made my appointment when a particular employee was working - she called me and made the appointment with me herself. She didn't show up or let anyone know I had an appointment with her. I had an eye exam, contact lens fitting, and bought one pair of glasses - this took a full three hours. I had to sit and wait an entire hour from my appointment time before the doctor could see me. This place is awesome when they have enough staff for the amount of patients they book - which seems to be about half the time, from my experiences over the years.

I came in to get a prescription for glasses and contacts. My insurance plan is new and I did not know what was covered. I explained this to the staff and was not given an estimate of the services I was receiving. After my exam, I realized I had only gotten a contacts prescription, but none for glasses. (I believe they are different). When it came time for payment, they requested double the price I was expecting and I was not given the option to pay part and be billed for the rest. This honestly would not normally be a problem, but I was just simply unprepared and the staff was ultimately unhelpful.

Rosemary was able to get me an appointment on the same day of my call which was amazing considering I needed a Saturday appointment due to my work schedule. My visit was the first emergency visit I have ever had to make to my eye doctor and I greatly appreciate the way the matter was handled. Especially the way a specialist was found that takes my medical insurance. Dr. Patel, the Retinal Specialist at Mercy General, did a manual exam and did not see the tear in my retina on Saturday but is having me return at 8:00 am Tuesday for further examination. I spoke to my employer this morning and EDD is following up on the VSP insurance saying I was dropped on 08/31/15. It seems that I am not the only one that this has happened to and I'm told VSP will back up my coverage to 09/01/15 as soon as they are made aware that I am one of the people who got caught up in their error. Thank you all, especially Dr. Pham, for being so considerate and comforting. Anna M. Spaulding.

I had an excellent time. The optometrist (John corpus) was funny, insightful and charming. He explained my situation and showed me how to see again. He took the time out to explain to me what he was doing and set me up with a great man(sonny) who helped me get my contacts in. Although he doesn't wear glasses or contacts himself. He was so very helpful and understanding and patient with me clearly struggling to get my contacts in. I am so satisfied with the customer service and cannot wait to come back for my follow up in two weeks. This has defiantly been my best optometry appointment ever and I highly recommend this location. Although they were running about 10-15 mins behind the receptionists did not hesitate to keep me updated on how much time before it was my turn. I didn't even have to ask. They just kept me informed and I appreciate that they value my time as well as theirs. This really was one of my best days ever. I came in with blurry vision and I left with a whole new perspective on the world. Thank you so much.

Dr. Corpus is a very good eye doctor. i feel very comfortable with him and feel he does a really fine job. my only complaint is that the cost. the lenses are very expensive and the frames have an excessive mark-up. the frames that I looked at were $60 more than every internet location!

Just disappointed that I have to pay for shipping contacts to my house this time! Hopefully they send the correct ones, they didn't last year!

I was a little irritated that I had to interupt Meagan and another lady from talking to get help with buying frames for my partner. I noticed Megan had finished with a customer and then started talking to another staff person. When I asked for help she made me feel uneasy for interrupting and said something like she will be with us shortly. Not really sure what she said but she and the other staff person walked away. Then Meagan approached us at one of the fres count er to help but she was off in two minutes she said and then assumed that Lydia was helping us when in actuality she was working with another customer and was kind enough to get frames out of a case for us to look at. Meagan was leaving it to Lydia to finish helping us but we had to explain to her that no one was really helping us and if someone could we would appreciate it. Five star rating for optometrist and assistant and the lady who finally helped us.

I really appreciate the profesionalism and kindness with which all staff members treat us and try to accommodate us at Eye Design Optometry. Nevertheless I am confused and frustrated by a couple of things. First, our Dr. has told me two years in a row this summer being the second time that my first prescription was for distance. I never needed a distance prescription so I don't understand why I got those, this means I didn't get what I needed two years ago when I first got and filled my first prescription. Secondly, I don't feel like I am getting the right information for my glasses purchase as I think the site prefers to get our business and somehow ends up misleading the customer a bit about prescriptions and options. My point can only be made with a long explanation and not in this review. Options (even the cheapest ones) are out of reach for the customer who wants to stay withint the insurance allotted amount. Soooo sad. The options although I've been told are designer brands are not really good looking (good taste, cute) unless you go into the above $500 dollar range.

I have been coming to eye designs for over ten years,yet our past two visits has us considering other options for our eye care needs.This past visit was exceptionally bad. As usual because we would be bringing our three small children with us we had appointments scheduled back to back at 3:pm and 3:45. We arrived for our appointments five to ten prior to 3:pm, yet my wife wasn't called back until almost 4, and wasn't done with her exam until almost 5pm. I wasn't asked to come into the back for my pre-exam until after 4:30, over an hour and a half after we arrived. Ultimately, I had to reschedule my appointment for a later date so we could get our kids home for dinner and to another appointment. It seems as though the selection of glasses, particularly for men, has gone down yet the prices for the ones available have gone up a lot. While I really like the staff and doctors especially Dr. Corpus, we may have to begin looking else where for the eye care needs of our family.

I have been a returning customer here (Eye Design at Arden Mall) to fill my eye glasses needs for almost 5 years. Originally returning because of the good service and great selection. In this most recent case, the staff was friendly and professional during each visit, but there were issues with my glasses and confusion in the staff that caused multiple unnecessary visits and inconvenience. I will give two stars for the great selection of eye glasses, but will not be returning due to the multiple inconveniences and issues with my last order.

I got a phone call reminding my appointment was at 10:30AM. I showed up promptly at 10:30 AM. However, because a patient showed up late to her appointment, my appointment was pushed back for almost an hour. If the doctor had not acknowledge and apologize for the staff up front I likely would have been looking for a new optometrist for next year. The staff up front need to learn how to see patients better.

The lady that helped me pick out glasses and the whole process with payment was an absolute delight. She helped me pick out the right glasses, which made me feel amazing! She was so sweet.
