The cleanings and check-up were fine. I don't appreciate seeing a charge for cancer screening than I did not ask for, no one asked if I wanted it, and I didn't notice that anything different was done than they did over the last 30 years. Their billing is horrible! Charges on the dental bill don't match what is submitted to the insurance company. One bill didn't even have all the charges listed that were submitted to the insurance company. Billing in general has been a constant frustration.

After a car accident where 2 teeth were fractured and one was completely broken, I needed urgent dental care. At Emerald West Dental they gave me an appointment very quickly and the attention of all the staff was very friendly, respectful, and professional. In addition, it has bilingual staff who helped me at all times to understand the medical and administrative procedures. Thank you very much, I really appreciate what you did for me.

I was happy to have been able to get an appointment right away, as I was having two issues that needed care pretty much on an emergency basis. I was happy too, that the technology was there to get a permanent crown on the same day, rather than having a temporary and then having to go back for a permanent one. Thanks!

10 years ago, another dentist wanted to send my son to the hospital and use general anesthesia to fill two tiny cavities. Dr. Hess was willing to fill them in the office with me by my 2-year-old’s side for comfort. We haven’t gone to another dental practice since. We’ve seen both Dr. Hess and Dr. Moss and we have been very happy with both! I’ve referred friends and they have all been happy customers too.

I can't begin to say thank you for the excellent care Dr. Moss and Sherry gave my 93 year old mother. I have had many dentists in my life. I will never read a review about one again. I will never ask a friend about whom he uses and I will never google "Dentists near me" ever again. Dr. Hesss and his assistant Shari are the absolute best. They actually asked if I was ok and if there was anything they could do to make me more comfortable. They actually cared! Excellent work, excellent bedside manor and excellent atmosphere. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the staff up front. Wow! Always greated me by my first name when I walked in. It was as though we were friends for years. If i ever called in about pain, they immediately got me in to take care of it. They REALLY care. I'm done searching. I was referred to Dr. Hess and the Emerald West team by a friend. I was a bit nervous in thinking about the transition, since I had come from a dentist that I had been happy with for the past 20 yrs. I am completely happy with the transition. My initial contact was with Michelle who explained my insurance coverage, set in motion the transfer of my dental records their office, set me up with an appointment the next week, and got me in to replace the first of two crowns that were starting to hurt. Dr. Hess, Naiomi, and Erika are all very competent, welcoming and respectful not only of me, but of each other. That tells me a lot. Two weeks later the work on both crowns is complete. What a relief. This is an up to date office and I like how it is run. This dental practice has it's act together, and again I would recommend them to anyone. My spouse is now in the process of becoming a patient based on my experience. Thank you for taking care of me.

This was my first dental appointment in years so I was a little nervous as to how comfortable the experience would be. I was pleasantly surprised. The woman at the front desk was friendly. The office was very clean and calming. When I was called back the hygienist was very polite, calming and professional. At the end of my appointment, my payment options were explained to me and I was provided a sheet of paper that listed out the prices of my cavity filling(s) and what my insurance would cover that way I had a complete understanding. I had an awesome first visit here. The staff was all great and I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Dr. Hess and Dr. Moss, My appointment with Naomi and my cleaning is always a great experience as Naomi is very detailed in her review of my teeth and identifies areas of concern. Naomi is patient, detailed, cautious and positive, all features you would like in a very experienced dental hygienists for cleanings. Naomi is interested in others, polite and sociable, also features found in a very experienced hygienist. I have and will in the future promote Naomi’s cleaning care to friends and family, I would recommend Naomi to anyone. As you are both aware, I have been with Emerald West Dental for roughly 25 years, I have experience with several other hygienists at your office and Naomi is your top hygienist.

Dr Chad Hess has been my dentist for many years. I love the work he does on my teeth. Love the staff. Especially love Ellen, who cleans my teeth and is like having a best friend at the office! Love Jane in bookkeeping cause she's been there a long time too, along with Sherry(forgive me if I spelled it wrong), one of his forever assistants! I actually look forward to every appointment to see everyone and to catch up on things from the last visit. Doctor Moss is great too when Dr Hess is busy or if it's an emergency!

When looking for a new dentist the first priority is the office location because I don't like to drive miles away for the appointment. Also I have no way of knowing the service I will be getting until I try. I do trust the online rating so I picked Emerald West Dental. All in all was good experience the first time and my search for dentist is done.

I always feel that I am under the best of care when i'm at Emerald West. Kelsie is the best and Dr. Moss is awesome - always caring and understanding. Everyone there knows what a baby I am when it comes to pain, and they all do their utmost to help to avoid it! Coming from another State I relied on the reviews. I am so happy I did. I found the staff to be very welcoming. Everyone was so friendly, yet professional. Allie did a great job cleaning my teeth. Dr. Hess was great. I felt he would be the right dentist to take care of my future needs. Meaning for one veneers for my front teeth. I never felt pressured in taking care of this.

Dr. Hess, Ellen (dental hygienist), Sherri (dental specialist), and other staff have been there for years. When I go in for dental work, it's like visiting family, and they treat me like a member of the family, too.

I am incredibly impressed with Emerald West Dental! Not only were they happy to help out with my kids while I was getting my exam and teeth cleaned, they did a thorough job and explained everything they were doing. This is a great dental practice! They were timely, efficient, friendly, skilled and reasonably priced. Our visits for 3 of us cost the same as I had previously paid at another office for just 2 similar visits. The doctors and staff were great with kids, and very personable to me as well. I've tried several dental offices since moving to Boise; we'll be staying with Emerald West!

The dental hygienist was friendly and nice, did a good job cleaning, and did it quickly too. She worked with me to make sure I understood my insurance situation, which I had misunderstood originally, so I appreciated that. The first time I went in I had some cavities (it had been a while), and the dentist was quick about doing fillings and checking up on them. I haven't had any problems with them. I showed up a bit early to my appointment, and was able to get started a bit early, which was nice.
