I recently came in for an eye exam so that I could get new contacts. I'm so happy to have some quality contacts again! I had ordered Hubble ones during the pandemic, but they were terrible. I had trouble putting them on and they were really dry. Dr. Thompson hooked me up with the good ones! Now I can see the way I should, they are comfortable, and not dry! Always the best service when I go the East Lansing Family Eyecare!

Everyone in the office is great and everyone is incredibly helpful and kind. I see Dr. Jacobs, and after not having been in since 2017 while off living life, it was like he had just seen me last week. Sue is amazing with what she does both fitting frames and emplainging everything with rebate programs, just what your insurance covers and why, and shows you actual retail versus what you actually pay, and how it all breaks down. I simply could not ask for better people and better care.

I really enjoy Dr. Thompson, he is wonderful but don’t enjoy the newer larger/merged office. His prior office (and staff) really made you feel like a valued patient, versus a number. The newer office setting does not have that same feel. The younger female staff at the front was not warm, welcoming and actually ignored me when I tried to check out (I was the only person there at that time). The young man was very polite and helpful, but still not the same patient centered atmosphere that the old office environment had.

I have gone to Dr. Jacobs for years; he is probably the best optometrist I have ever seen. As I have gotten older and my vision issues have become more complicated, he has always taken sufficient time to walk me through various options for addressing how best to correct my vision. As always, a great visit with Dr.Jacobs. l had the optional 4 test with pics done and for only $20 this is not only the BEST DEAL in town, it gives Dr. Jacobs a good look at what's going on behind as well as inside your eyes + an opportunity to detect early onset diseases and conditions. Do this 1 thing at every eye exam and you will leave his office knowing you did everything to promote good eye health for another year. Can't leave without giving Sue a shout out, too! I wasn't in the mood to look at frames so just asked Sue to pick some out for me. 4 frames was all it took! I was thrilled. She knows what looks good on me and takes the time to make sure the fit is just right. Never again will l even look at frames....she's got the job!!! Thanks, Sue!

I am confident in the eye health analysis I receive each year from Dr. Jacobs. I appreciate the retina photo and that Dr. Jacobs compares my results to previous year results. Dr. Jacobs slowly moves through all the eye adjustment steps to make sure I get the most comfort, and ability to see, in all the ranges from near to far. Dr. Jacobs listens to his patients and offers suggestions, or new products, to allow me to see better even as my eyes age. Thumbs up.

I tried 6 times to schedule with the online tool before actually getting an appointment. Once there the staff was wonderful about checking me in and going through the health check. The young man who did my testing was extremely polite and quickly ran through all of them. My exam promptly followed and went well. I didn't like how much 'selling' was done even though I made it quite clear I didn't need anything (I don't require glasses).

Front desk staff were friendly and professional, they did great with all of my pre-testing and Dr Thompson was great as usual-professional and kind. JULY 2019 I was having a medical issue with one of my eyes, and East Lansing Family Eyecare brought me in immediately to perform a thorough exam. I was impressed at the extensive, state-of-the art testing that was done on me. This treatment, coupled with their gorgeous new location, will no doubt solidify their position as the "go-to" intimate destination for all East Lansing residents in need of personal eye care.
