Ever since Dr. Patel took over the optometry office it has improved so much! I love going to see him every year to get my eyes examined. I feel like I'm going to visit a friend. He remembers my family members and shares good advice and knowledge. The staff is friendly and attentive. I could never imagine going anywhere else for my glasses or eye examines.

Christina greeted me when I came up to counter and said she would be with me shortly since she was assisting another customer. She finished with other customer promptly and asked how she could help me. I stated I had an appointment and gave my name. She looked me up and seen I was a returning customer and asked me to fill out the standard form for their record. Shortly after I completed the form I was assisted into the room to check out my eyes with 3 machines. I was then directed to a room for the eye exam. Dr. Patel showed up with in 2 minutes and started checking his computer for my record and talking to me. The exam was quick and easy. Then we went to look at frames. I took a few minutes to choose a frame. M face and eyes were measured for bifocals and I was done. I put money down on the glasses and was out the door in just over an hour.

I have been coming to East County Family Optometry for years, and I am always greatly pleased with the service I receive. Dr. Patel always answers all of my questions, and takes the time to make sure I understand what I need to do to continue taking care of my eye sight. The staff at this facility is always helpful with questions I may have or information that is new in the field. Thank you for all you do!

I have been wearing glasses for almost 40 years and contacts for almost 30 years. Three years ago, another optometrist told me that I needed a toric lense to treat minor astigmatism in my left eye. The toric lense was irritating and my eyesight not as good as it should have been in my left eye since the power was decreased to compensate for the astigmatism which I didn't understand. I had my first appointment with Dr. Patel yesterday. He listened to my concerns and asked for my opinions. In the end, he prescribed regular contact lenses for both eyes in the same strength. My vision is improved and more importantly my left eye is not tearing up and irritated. Thank you Dr. Patel for listening.

Dr Patel explained my vision situation and offered to give me a referral to an eye surgeon who will evaluate my cataract and see if it can be helped by surgery. The reception and eye assistants were all very friendly and helpful. I feel confident that my vision is in good hands.
