This place is really fantastic! The ladies at the front desk are super nice and helpful. The assistant who did my exam was so friendly and made me feel very relaxed. Dr. Chinn is such a nice guy who walked me through everything I needed to know about my vision. He took his time and really made sure I had the proper prescription. He then went above and beyond, ensuring I walked out with enough contacts to last me until my order arrived. Highly recommend!!

Came here for a contact lens exam and Dr. Chinn did an amazing job. I finally have the right prescription and can see clearly. The difference in my vision is astounding! I’ve had incorrect eyeglass prescriptions in the past and I would always get headaches. I’m glad I came here!

Dr. Chinn and his staff are both professional and friendly. They are easy to communicate with and respond to inquiries promptly. My questions are always answered completely and, if I have a follow-up question later, the answer is quick to come. I loved my first visit with Dr. Chinn! She explained everything so throughly. She even showed me pictures of the inside of my eyeballs.. so cool. I initially was there to see if I was a candidate for lasik, but after Dr. Chinn explained my options, I chose to get contacts. Everyone working was very nice. I’m glad I found an optometry I can trust and go to from now on.

I feel it's very important not to overcharge your clientele if you don't want them to outsource and find cheaper prices elsewhere. There's a difference between being a high-end business compared to simply being greedy and gouging your clientele. A high-end business in my opinion means excellent customer service with a smile and prices most people can afford. I feel you should have price points for every potential customer. The majority of your clientele are not in the upper 1%. This world is not all about the rich. The majority of people don't want to feel taken advantage of even if they are rich.

It was my first appointment with Dr. Chinn as a new patient and everything about my experience was positive. Every staff member was very knowledge, helpful and friendly - The dr. I meet with (I can’t remember her name, sorry!) answered all of my questions thoroughly and provided more information and detail regarding my eyes and eye health than what was expected. I didn’t have to have my eyes dilated which was so nice! They were able to determine my new prescription without that no so pleasant experience with their new tools and technology. I found a pair of glasses I really love and can’t wait to go back to the office to pick them up!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Stephen Chinn for years. He diagnosed my ongoing condition of Keratoconus. Prior to finding out I had that condition, I had no idea I was even having difficulties seeing. Great service! This was the last of the appointment for the lipiflow treatment I started in 2019. I visited the office for the last bluff-ex procedure. The office staff was welcoming at the new year and excited in checking me in. I found the lobby was reorganized and still very clean. I didn't have to wait very long (10 minutes for new year paperwork) to be seen by Dr. Stephen Chinn. One of the technicians completed the procedure, which went very well and seamless. My questions were answered by both the technician and Dr. Chinn. I like to plan early and it was no issue with scheduling an appointment 6 months out for my annual eye exam. I highly recommend booking your next appointment with Dr. Chinn.

I really loved seeing the female optometrist, my apologies forgot your name! She was super informative and helpful and made it an overall really really great experience! I only left off one star for cleanliness. I think EVERYTHING around the place could use a deep clean. Even the other staff member who ran me through all the fun tests wiped certain ones down and others she didn't. I think the staff could definitely use a refresher on cleaning as well.

I've been seeing Dr. Chinn for a few years. Its a father-daughter team and both Dr. Chinns are great. The office is beautiful and conveniently located in North Park, and the staff is always welcoming. They don't have a huge selection of frames in store and I think their prices are a little high so I buy mine elsewhere, but I'll keep coming back to see the doctors.

Thorough 3-month assessment of my lipiflow treatment was provided. Dr. Stephen Chinn reviewed the staus of my glands and shared the needed steps towards preventing any future clogging now that we have established a starting point. This is a fairly new procedure and I am glad to have opted for it. Dr. Chinn provided a comprehensive review, comparing the initial readings to the 3-month readings. Because I only see my optimistrist once a year, this additional appointment also addressed the concern of potential infection due to a slight anomoly in my left eye--something that would probably have been worst by the time I actually would have seen Dr. Chinn for my annual. I was shocked, but relieved that we are catching it now than a year later, and the solution was a week of preventative antibiotic drops. Again, I saw Dr. Chinn as a follow-up to my lipiflow treatment and received more than what I actually came in for. This is a what great doctors do; look for prevention rather than just be reactionary.

Dr.s Jennifer and Stephen Chinn were great! Dr. Stephen was patient with both of my young sons and Dr. Jenn was sweet! She took the time to listen to my concerns and made sure my exam was thorough. I recently visited Dr. Stephen Chinn's office for a lipiflow treatment. I have been seeing Dr. Chinn for my eye care services for over a decade, and was recommended this procedure as a preventive measure to prevent dry eye and maintain the great condition of my eyes after my successful lasik procedure. As always, the facility is immaculately clean, and the staff is welcoming. The process of setting an appointment and follow up appointments to the treatment was seamless. The office provides weekend hours to better serve their patients who have a busy workweek schedule. Details of pre- and post-opt care was thoroughly explained, with Dr. Chinn answered every question. Payment was also easy, and everything itemized for this treatment was also well discussed. Dr. Chinn is a savant in this field, and I am glad to have entrusted my sight in his careful hands.

Friendly, experienced staff and doctors. They are so patient and helpful in accommodating my needs and wants for frames/lenses. Their exams are very thorough and I felt that my eye care is in good hands with Dr. Chinn's practice. Working through my pricing options, they worked all the prices out with me on frames, lens coatings, lens types, and warranties to ensure that nothing was being hidden in the transaction. I had been told when I left my original appt that the follow up would be $60. I certainly understand professional fees, but for $60, I would have expected more than sitting the chair and having Dr look at my eyes and tell me I’m doing well following the protocol and come back on a month. This took all of one minute. I presume when I come back in a month, the same thing will happen and I’ll pay another $60 for about a minutes worth of the Dr’s time. Seems excessive especially since I pay out of pocket.

Dr. Chinn has been my eye specialist for so many years while his clinic still at MCAS Miramar. He has been a great help and cares when it comes to my eye care, he was able to diagnose my eye problem at a very early stage and provided solution to such. Excellent experience! I needed an optometrist to check if my Rx had changed and found Dr. Chinn’s office from driving past. So glad I made an appointment. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, quick to find answers and help in any way. My appointment was with Dr. Jenn who was so professional yet incredibly friendly. I didn’t end up getting glasses as my Rx hardly changed but seemed like their selection was good to choose from. Parking can be a little hectic because it’s North Park so do plan a few extra minutes to find parking.

All I have to say about Dr. Chinn's office is that its amazing. Both doctors are knowledgeable and super friendly. I've been a patient of Dr. Chinn since my sophmore year in high school in 2005. He gave me my very first pair of glasses and my very first contacts. Now as an adult with painful burning eyes, he was the one to help diagnose my Evaporative Dry Eye and thanks to the lipiflow treatment that both doctors recommended, I have relief. I will never trust another doctor for my eyes and I am so glad that I don't have to. Thank you!

I’m only giving 4 stars because the people up front act extremely confident, yet billed me incorrectly. When I called back to ask about upgeadibg my sunglass prescription, they said I owed them $60 because of a mistake they made. Not acceptable. When I go to the doctor, I expect and assume they will bill correctly.

It was my first time visiting Dr. Chinn's and I will say I was a little nervous never having had any kind of vision test before. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. They took the time to answer all of my questions and helped me understand anything that I was unfamiliar. The staff was also extremely helpful in helping me pick out my frames and what my insurance covered and what would be out of cost. I will definitely be returning for all my future eyewear needs!

Dr Chinn's office staff is very professional, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. I have been to many visits at this office. I feel Dr. Chinn is caring and gives excellent care. He has referred me to an ophthalmologist for an eye problem he found and has prescribed medicine for another problem he discovered. He also encourages his patients to try the contacts for comfort and visual acuity before prescribing the prescription. He is very caring and often dispenses free cleaners with contact containers so that I could take care of my contacts appropriately. I highly recommend his services.

The entire experience was great! The equipment seemed very new and I had a few tests run that I haven't seen at older offices. With the new tests, Dr. Chinn identified an issue I had (but had never heard of!) and gave me a plan to remediate the issue. Will definitely be back!

This is the place to go if you need an eye exam, glasses or contacts. Bright and clean, and all of the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They value your time and are willing to answer any questions at any point. They took care of all the insurance paperwork all I had to do was sign a form. There was this wonderful light scent of vanilla in the offices. Made me hungry for ice cream. But they don't sell ice cream here. Awesome, professional, and friendly. You don't find that in too many businesses today. Thank you.

Dr. Jennifer Chin was very thorough in the eye exam and explained the results to me clearly. She answered all my questions and concerns very well. The rest of the staff are so nice and friendly as well. I was 30 minutes early for my appointment but they were so glad to accommodate me right away.

From the very first message I sent everyone at the office had been nothing but friendly and helpful! This was my daughter's first optometry appointment and we were both a little nervous and unsure of what to expect but our nerves were quickly calmed by sweet and patient staff. They walked us through every portion of the appointment from the paperwork to the actual exam, being sure to explain to both myself and my daughter each of the machines and what they did. We could not have been happier with our whole experience. I would recommend this office a hundred time over! I'm so glad to have found them and so thrilled that my daughter loved her first visit to the eye doctor and is very excited for her first pair of glasses! 🤓

I absolutely love the way Dr.Chinn runs his practice. Staff is consistently thoughtful, professional, friendly, accomodating. They make it easy and pleasant for me to make/make it to my appointment, they personalize my experience while there. Dr.Chinn is diligent, detail oriented. Last year he spent 6 appointments with me to find the contact lenses that are best fit for me. He was insughtful and relentless until I was comfortable and had the best vision possible. Thank you.

Everything about my first appointment with Dr. Chinn was exceptional. I walked in and was greeted by the friendly receptionist who instantly checked me in and gave me the appropriate paperwork to fill out. The moment I finished filling out the paperwork, Dr. Chinn's assistant took me to the back for some preliminary eye tests. She explained every single test to me and was up front about the extra cost of an optional test that would allow me to avoid dilation. Afterwards, I was immediately seen by Dr. Chinn who was friendly, thorough and efficient. I was extremely impressed with Dr. Chinn and his staff's prompt and efficient service. It was also a bonus that there was patient parking right behind the office! I would highly recommend Dr. Chinn's office for anyone looking for an optometrist.

Have seen a number of optometrists over the years, and Dr. Chinn has been the best. Truly cared about my particular situation and spent as much time as needed to resolve the vision issues I was having. Would definitely recommend him! Only suggestion for improvement is that it would be nice if there was a wider selection of glasses frames to choose from - more brands.

I don't think it's fair to coerce people into paying $25 extra for the new optical screening they do. I was never given the option to opt out even though at one point I asked, "It's optional, right?" When Dr. Chinn saw me he just dove right into the screening before I could even say, I don't want to pay for that. It's very deceptive to make people do it even if that's not what they agreed to in writing. I wish they didn't do this because otherwise I would be happy to recommend Dr. Chinn's office.

I was in about a week before and was under the impression that my glasses would cost quite a bit less. I am not quite sure where the miscommunication happened but it was disappointing to have it be more expensive. Other than that, everyone on the staff was quite friendly and attentive.

Both doctor Chinn and his staff were extremely kind and helpful. As a new patient getting glasses for the first time, I got all the help and attention I needed. His staff even helped me pick out frames that fit my face and I didn't feel like they were trying to upsell the most expensive kind. In fact, we decided on a pair that were completely covered by my insurance.
