I absolutely love Nova. Everyone is super kind and helpful from the front office staff to Dr. Reynolds. Rae has helped me so much with feelings if anxiety. Dr. Reynolds is always smiling and her calm relaxed demeanor helps me feel at ease. I would like to comment on each person individually but haven't learned everyone's name yet. As always, I appreciate the quality care Dr. Reynolds' establishment offers. The staff goes above and beyond in servicing my dental needs. I see and feel the improvement in my teeth but even more so in my gum. My gum feel strong and healthy. No more pain when I eat or drink cold or hot temperature food and beverages simultaneously. My gum is more pink in color than ever. Thanks, thanks, thanks, and many more thanks to the Dr. Reynolds & Dr. Tonoukouin's great services. And Hygienist Devin is the best. Everytime she does my deep cleanings, she is so smooth that sometimes I even go to sleep as she is performing the deep cleaning services. Waited two hours in a lobby with no tv or magazines. Was told that it was my turn to go to the back but that I would just be sitting again, so I declined my appointment. No apologies made by the staff that I spoke with except the receptionist. Probably will switch dentists in the future.

This was my first time getting a filling without the nitrous gas and it went great. All the staff were amazing and made me feel really calm and the doctor was wonderful with the shots. She also gave me more when I was the least bit uncomfortable. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend!

I had a cleaning appt scheduled and instead I was only provided with X-rays and a consult and had to schedule another appt for cleaning. This was unacceptable. Then told the cleaning would cost extra due to condition of my teeth. I truly feel as though the hygienist didn’t want to clean my teeth due to late appt this the reschedule and increase in cost. I have had my teeth cleaned regularly at other practices and never been told all of this. A simple cleaning as scheduled would have been nice.

Staff is always friendly. I do find that the wait times are getting longer everytime I visit. My original hygienist did not work on me, the lady that did was really nice but seemed to rush through my cleaning and the wait for the doctor was longer as well.

Tammy is a HUGE reason why we love this office. She is so amazing with my little one who is very nervous at the dentist. Tammy's energy is so infectious and puts my baby at ease. She always leaves with the biggest smile on her face because of Tammy. As far as the rest of the visit, we are usually left waiting for quite awhile which is very inconvenient when you are trying to juggle school and a full workday. This could be improved upon but we do understand that setbacks happen, from time to time.

I would also highly recommend the toothbrush and medicated mouthwash as well. I noticed a big difference in my gum health after purchasing both of these products (in addition to a water pik). I also had a filling installed without any pain. It was wonderful. I won't go to any other practice, Dr. Juliane is a master at her craft.

Above and beyond the quality care I regularly received on my scheduled visits, I had the misfortune recently of calling their immediate care line for a tooth that chipped partly off. I take pride in my teeth and never imagined I would ever have such a problem. I personally spoke with Doctor Reynolds prior to the start of the business day when I called their after hours phone number for urgent care service. Dr. Reynolds was gracious and compassionate as explained my predicament. Within hours, I was walking out of their office with a perfectly repaired tooth. Well done!

When calling patients from waiting room they should be greeted with a “hello” or “hello name or Mr. or Mrs. name” or “Hello, we’re ready for you now.” Opening the door and staring at the person while you wait for them to acknowledge you is NOT acceptable. It’s quite disrespectful and unwelcoming. Also, it would be nice if when running behind the patient was kept notified of any delays rather then leaving them to sit 45 mins without a word.

I experienced an outstanding dental visit on 3/16. My Dental Tech was thorough and asked for my preference in techniques used during my visit. Specifically, for cleaning, I was asked if I preferred manual cleaning or with the electronic tool. I prefer the electronic tool which leaves one’s mouth feeling fresh and phenomenal. I normally have loved my time with Nova Dentistry and have actually recommended 4 new patients. My last trip however was disappointing to say the least. I had a great cleaning with Tracey, but then when Dr Reynolds came in she informed me quite matter-of-factly that I had an issue, needed antibiotics and a root canal. I normally get a clean bill of health so was a bit shocked and actually thought she might be joking. She then told me she could see on my panoramic X-ray that I needed one. That is when I informed her I haven’t had X-rays done since I was there 6 months ago. “Oh, well I see it here” was all she said. Then they ushered me out to talk about payment options and referrals to an Endodontist. Not even as much as an apology for letting me walk around with this issue for 6 months since they obviously missed it on the scan last year. Didn’t make me feel great about the level of attention and care sadly.

I have never been to a dentist or doctor where after I have paid the co-pay I've been asked for additional money for previous appointments. The staff told me that the insurance did not cover as much as they initially agreed upon. I am under the understanding that everything is coded and certain codes are worth fixed amounts. I find this to be a questionable way of accounting.

I was very pleased with my visit to Nova Dental. I recently moved to the area and haven’t found the right dentist. I have been in pain with one tooth for months now. I'm 66 YO and have never had a dentist spend as much time with me as did Dr Reynolds. She was prepping me for a crown on one of my back upper teeth.Her attention to detail and desire for perfection was evident. I also told her that I had never been in a Dentist office that was as technologically advanced as was her office. Her assistant Sheena scanned my teeth with some wand and my teeth showed up on the computer screen in detail like I've never seen before. From start to finish it was a first class friendly operation

I had two recent appointments here for periodontal work as a first-time patient. Scheduling was pretty easy. A huge plus is that they have evening hours a few days a week. I actually switched to them from my old provider due to my work schedule and the office having evening hours. The office is clean and well laid out. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Reynolds is very personable. She’s also a cutey pie, too. 😁 Her staff is cute and friendly from the front office administrator to Dr. Reynolds. More than that, they are highly customer service oriented and take their time to explain procedures and make sure you are well aware of what needs to happen and why. Did I say that they are all cutey pies including Dr. Reynolds? Sorry, that’s the flirt in me. Back to the review. 😃 Before my periodontal work, I was told that the procedure was going to hurt like heck by someone who had it performed. Well, after both procedures, Dr. Reynolds and her staff got two thumbs up from me. Hey, it wasn’t completely pain free but it was nowhere near what the person I know made it out to be. I was deathly afraid of getting needles in my mouth in preparation of the periodontal work but Dr. Reynolds administered the needles and I only had a pinch of discomfort here and there. Nothing near what I thought it was going to be. Great staff, great care, highly recommended.

My last visit did not go well. The tech of which was new to me seemed unprepared for my appointment. Much of the equipment had to be collected for use. She did not have the X-ray equipment ready and left the very heavy lead cover on me so long that it became difficult to breathe. When cleaning my teeth, my face was constantly being sprayed with water. I understand this happens sometimes, but not to this degree.

I highly recommend Dr. Juliane Reynolds and her highly qualified staff at Nova Family Dentistry of Tyrone. I mean, nobody really likes to go to the dentist, but the doctor and staff make it such a pleasurable experience that you'd almost want to go back more than twice a year! I love this place. Friendly, knowledgeable, and THOROUGH. The doctor is very conservative about treatment, and never recommends anything that is not necessary just to take your money. There is never any pressure to have elective procedures done. They offer it and explain the reason for it, but there is no pressure to proceed with the work. The hours of operation are convenient. The techs are thorough and friendly. It is worth the trip!

Nova Dental genuinely care about you and your teeth. The staff are always pleasant and very helpful with any explanation you may need concerning your teeth and dental care. If you have cosmetic needs, they got you covered.
