I have seen Dr. Russell for many years. My entire family goes to the practice for eye care. From start to finish the experience was great. I truly do not understand why there are negative reviews for this office. The appointment was 10 out of 10, as usual.

Just a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Clearly quality care but an enjoyable friendly staff and office to boot. Personally appreciate the time conscious nature of my recent visits. They appreciate that I have work and commitments too. They accommodate my schedule and got me in on time, took care of business and out the door. I highly recommend Greg and his office. The ladies at the front are always helpful checking in and out, and very patient with me since I usually have at least 3 kids having appointments at the same time. Dr. Russell is great. Very down to earth and makes us feel welcome, and my teenage sons think he is great. Heather always helps me pick out glasses and just recently let myself (wasnt even my appointment lol) and my 3 sons try on many different frames and helped them pick one. There are others I am not sure the name of, but everyone is just great.

Even though I get nervous going to eye appointments I always relax after I enter the door. The people that work there are as friendly as can be and they have worked there since I have been going which is about ten years. I had some rough years financially, but I never left there without my contacts that I needed. They will never know how much I appreciated that. There are no words. Dr. R. does a thorough exam and I left on Monday saying to myself that there is no better eye care center anywhere that come close to East Tenn. Eye Care.

I have had glasses since I was 6 years old, and I've not had a more positive experience than at East Tennessee Eye Care. I'm a huge fan of Dr. Russell, and I would recommend anyone who needs a new eyecare physician check him out immediately. Incidentally, he takes the eye insurance provided by the state of TN, for teachers and ETSU employees out there.

So going for eye exams was worrisome for me. After knowing my fear I was treated so well and even relaxed a little. Iโ€™ve been seeing Dr. Greg Russell for annual eye exams for many years. His exams are always very thorough and he appears to keep his equipment updated at the state-of-the-art level. He is patient and has a great personality. My last visit was during the Covid pandemic, plus I had recently completed cancer treatments and had been strictly quarantining for 10 months, so I was personally a little uncomfortable to be in an environment around several other individuals.

Dr. Russell is very thorough and the staff are friendly and nice. I wanted the more expensive pair of glasses because they looked better so they let me pay 1/2 down and 1/2 the day I picked up my glasses. That really helped me financially. I would definitely recommend East Tennessee Eye Care.

Dr Russell is a great eye doctor I would highly recommend him. I have two daughters and they have seen him for at least 9 years. The office staff is always very helpful and polite. I feel like you get value for your money and they are not pushy sales people either. They go out of their was to help you find what you need.

This was our first visit and I have never felt more at home at an eye dr than I did here. He was very thorough when explaining about my daughters eye exam results. The staff is welcoming and knowledgable. I quickly filled out my information and gave my insurance cards. Everyone works as a team. I was taken to a room where a staff member did my preliminary steps such as checking my glasses and dialating my eyes . i was given a complete exam by Dr. Russell who answered all my questions. I found the website user friendly. And i was impressed that the hours of the practice also includes an evening. Giving patients an options. I had been referred by a friend when i was disappointed by my previous Optometrist . i refer Dr. Russell and his staff to my family and friends.

Dr Russell and staff are knowledgable, courteous, and dedicated. They take their time to assess your needs and answer any questions. I've never been kept waiting more than 10-15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time and appointments aren't scheduled every 5 minutes as is common at any other medical facility. Pleased more than I ever expected. First, before seeing Dr Russell, the assistant tested me on 5 hi-tech devices. The devices that I was tested by my previous eye doctor, as recently as 7 months ago had been 3 commonly used devices . The additional 2 devices at Dr Russell's office, I had never seen. Impressive. Just after Dr. Russell flipped several of those lens he stopped and took a closer look and immediately diagnosed cataracts on both eyes and scheduled to had them removed. 7 months ago at my previous eye exam from another eye doctor I was told I had a small cataract on one eye and it was not big enough to worry about. Yet I still could not see clearly, I mean really not clearly. I felt so relieved that Dr Russell diagnosed this so quickly and knew what had to be done. I previously was afraid I was going blind. I look forward to the eye surgery and to be able to see clearly again !!!!!! I seriously recommend Dr. Russell.
