My daughter’s pediatrician gave me a referral for an eye exam with Dr. Ellen. I called on a Wednesday to make an appointment and learned they are closed on Wednesdays and I left a message. Thursday morning I received a call back and was even able to schedule a same day appointment after school. This was my 9 year olds 1st real eye exam and everything went so well. Dr. Ellen was helpful and answered all her questions. There was an awesome assortment of stylish and trendy frames for all price points. Office was clean and comfortable. Very happy to have been referred to her.

This Practice is Awesome even after many years between visits. They treatment me with care, you see this will be the first time I've ever needed glasses and bifocals at that. Dr Ellen was great she was patient with me and explained all of the different choices I had with my insurance and also gave me help choosing my frames and lenses. She and her staff were extremely patient and kind to her, taking all the time necessary to do a thorough exam. There's no place like home. I love going to this office because the atmosphere is kind, warm, inviting, and feels like home. I greatly dislike big offices with 8 spots or more to sit and look for glasses with multiple doctors who don't care, it's intimidating, and gives me great anxiety to go to those types of places. This is not what happens at Dr. Merkin's office. You feel like you belong here, it's so nice and everybody knows you and you feel at home. It's a fun office with three fun, great ladies!!! There's absolutely no intimidation, and they work with you on all aspects of your care and finding the right glasses for you. SO GLAD to have found this amazing eye dr office!

Dr Singleton did not seem comfortable with the exam room equipment (adjusting the apparatus to my sitting height, etc). His exam analysis conclusion was not clear to me other than he found some abnormalities. I was not expecting any dilation on this exam, but he did so anyway. I am hoping this did not do any harm to my recent cataract surgery, and the phone call an hour after my exam asking if I had finished the protocol with Dr DeBry was also a bit disturbing. I will not have another examination with Dr Singleton!

I had an issue come up with my eye and called Dr. Merkin when I finished work. They said to come right in, and after a short wait, I was given a rx for drops and a sample to use until I could get to a drugstore. After 10 years with Dr. Merkin, I won't see another optometrist in LV. !

I have been going to Dr. Merkin for more than ten years. My late husband also became her patient after hearing my rave reviews. Dr. erkin is by far, the most accurate and detail- focused eye doctor I have ever experienced. As I am a contact lens wearer, as well as a traditional eyeglasses wearer, it is important to get a consistently accurate examination. Dr. Merkin is always patient and never rushes to to order anything new, unless the patient is completely satisfied with the exam results and suggested prescription. Her office staff is always helpful and pleasant. Another plus is the large selection of the latest frames available to choose from. Overall, I don't think you will find a better and more accurate eye doctor than Dr. Ellen Merkin.

I AM VERY DISSATIFIED WITH MY OVERALL SERVICE WITH THIS PRACTICE. I WAS INTERESTED IN GETTING MY 1ST PAIR OF GLASSES EVER. I HAVE BEEN WEARING READERS THAT HAVE BEEN WORKING FINE. I RECEIVED AN EMAIL THAT IT WAS TIME FOR MY ANNUAL EYE EXAM SO I SCHEDULED AN APPT. AFTER MY EXAM. I FILL THAT I SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT MY VISION IS OK AND I SHOULD RETURN NEXT YEAR TO SEE IF THERE HAD BEEN ANY CHANGES. I GET THAT YOU ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF SELLING GLASSES, BUT YOU SHOULD ALSO RECOMMEND WHAT IS BEST FOR YOUR CLIENTS. IN MY OPTION I WAS OFFER OTHER ENHANCEMENTS (UPSELL) THAT JUST DID NOT WORK AT ALL FOR ME. UPON MY 1ST FITTING I TOLD YOUR OFFICE THAT I COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING. I WAS TOLD TO TAKE THE GLASSES AND TRY THEM FOR A WEEK WHICH I DID. AFTER THAT 1 WEEK PERIOD I RETURNED TO THE OFFICE TO EXPRESS MY CONCERNS. YOU THEN RE-EXAMINED MY EYES AND RECOMMENDED THAT I HAVE THE BIOFOCAL AND TRANSITION AND OTHER FEATHERS BE REMOVED . I PAID $400 AND I WAS TOLD EVEN AFTER I HAD SEVERAL UPSOLD FEATURES REMOVED THAT I COULD NOT GET ANY OF MY MONEY BACK. BOTTOM LINE IS I WAS SOLD FEATURES THAT THEY WHERE FULLY AWARE I DID NOT NEED THEN REFUSED TO REFUND ME ANY MONEY.

I finally became aware of the changes made to my prescription last year that were unacceptable and made the glasses unusable. Too bad that it was not discovered when I initially brought them back with my complaint. I used my oldest glasses all year because I could never use the new ones. That should not have happened.
