It is always nice to go the to the Dr. Guthrie office. Bet you don't hear many clients say that. This is the one office which I don't worry about procedure, cleaning, bridges, a crown or two and reinstallation of a gold crown which was about 30 years. Drs. Christina and Bill are both highly skilled and listen to the patient, even when he rattles on about non dental subjects. The staff always treats you like family (good not bad) and they are accredit to the leadership of the office. You feel that you are welcome and a part of the group.

The dental hygienist did an incredible job on my teeth. She was kind and caring and made me feel comfortable in a stressful place where cavities could be found. Dr. Dawson was amazing as she always is giving me a warm greeting, friendly smile, and offering some quick dental advice after making sure my teeth looked alright. My family has been going to Dr. Guthrie since he opened his practice in Lewisville - for approximately 30 years. All of his personnel are professional, informative and always courteous. Especially Shanna who is our family's hygienist. Dr. Guthrie gives us options if dental work is needed and we always respect his honesty. And Luanne is extremely knowledgeable with regard to our insurance, which we so appreciate. Dr. Guthrie's practice serves our family from my 93 year old mother to my 9 year old granddaughter!!

She is kind, friendly, very easy to talk to even though we only see each other twice a year, and does an incredible job with my teeth! Dr. Dawson is an amazing dentist! Dr. Guthrie is an excellent dentist. Going to the dentist is never a "fun" prospect. However, Dr. Guthrie's humor and relaxed air calm qualms you may have about the procedure he is to perform. The hygenists are always great. I did not like the fill in dentist. She recommended procedures for layne and I that I do not think were needed. She recommended that I put sealants on laynes teeth that had not finished erupting yet. She recommended that I get 2 fillings where holes were with no decay, because there might be decay in the future. I am not an expert but these seem like procedures to run up the bill. I see y'all every six months and you would notice decay or see when the teeth had erupted. I wish we could be told when there is a temporary dentist and make a choice on coming. I'd rather just see Dr Guthrie.

Important thing to note: Dr. Guthrie found a cavity (darn!). It was there last October, but I apparently did not fully understand or realize this because I would have taken care of it then rather than put it off. BUT what I realized after I left the office is that Dr. Guthrie was not the one who checked my teeth last October. Dr. Guthrie was out of the office and it was a gentleman who was filling in. I remember he told me that he was moving down to North Texas from Pennsylvania and would be filling in. He checked my teeth and apparently did not properly communicate about the cavity at that time. I just thought you all should know this. See you in a couple of weeks (for the filling). Thanks!

I met with Dr. Cianci for the first time for evaluation of an infected molar. I really appreciated the time he took to explain what needed to be done, and what the possible options are (extraction, bone grafting, implant). Lou Ann then gave me the names of three oral surgeons who might do the work, and I chose Dr. Martin (mainly because he was able to do the extraction the next day). Thank you for all your help.

I was quite surprised to see a whole new team in place when I arrived. Christie was very nice and efficient. The doctor was very personable and professional. The visit was always was pleasant.

The dental hygienist (Christy, I believe) was not very good. She left the suction tube in my mouth during the entire cleaning process. It was put in spots that sucked my skin, leaving red marks under my tongue. I also have sore bumps in my mouth from the suction tube. Shauna does a much better job of cleaning teeth.

Everyone was very friendly as usual. The only thing I have not enjoyed to past 2 trips is the new way you clean and scrape my teeth. I really dislike the new automated equipment that you use to do this. It sounds too much like the drill and really stresses me out. I would prefer to go back to the old method. It was much better for me when she used the manual equipment. Can you please put this in my file to not use the automated equipment on the first procedure of teeth scraping. Thanks, Tim Trotter

this was my 2nd visit to dr guthries office. first experience was just after we moved to texas i had a tooth that became abscessed on a saturday. he got me in first thing monday morning and got me on antibiotic and then pulled the tooth the following monday. started having trouble with another tooth over the weekend. he was not able to give me prescription for anything since it had been 2 yrs since the last time i saw him but got me in monday morning and found the problem. i have to goto oral surgeon to get that tooth pulled along with 1 wisdom tooth. as much as i dislike going to the dentist both of my visits have been enjoyable. i have told several people at work about my experince and been sure to include dr william guthries name.
