I did not finish my appointment. your staff called the day before to ask if i could move up my appt to 10:30am and i was able to. i waited about 30 min before they called me to do the prelim testing then sat outside the office until ready to be seen. After 40 min (11:20am) I asked the desk if they knew how much longer i had to wait as i was using my lunch hour. They explained Dr. Rakich had an emergency at 10am and just realized how long i was waiting! I asked why they didn't tell me when i arrived she had an emergency she was dealing with so i could be made aware it might be longer than expected. I felt this was such rude service and told them i would look for another doctor. Making things worse, no one reached out to me to apologize which further showed me as a patient is not important to your practice. i've been seeing Dr. Rakich for many years, this is the first time this has happened and would've been ok had someone made an effort to reach out later that day or even the next day to apologize or make an attempt to keep me as a patient.

I was impressed by the level of attention to detail that I experienced throughout my exam. I'm making Dr. Rakich my regular eye doctor. The frames were pricey so I will probably get glasses at a different location the next time I need a new prescription. I was told it was a 2-week wait for my new glasses to come in, which, in my experience, is a week longer than my previous optometrist's. I would have given 4 stars, had the frames not been so expensive.

I recently visited Dawn Rakich Optometrist, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. I had been wearing contacts/glasses with an incorrect prescription for several years without even realizing it, but Dr. Dawn Rakich was able to quickly identify the issue and correct it. The difference was night and day - I can't believe I went so long without realizing that my previous prescription was wrong! Dr. Dawn Rakich is incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and took the time to explain everything to me in a way that was easy to understand. I also appreciated that the staff were very friendly and approachable - it made the whole experience much less stressful. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Dawn Rakich Optometrist to anyone in need of vision care. I had a huge stye in my left eye. It was so big it was touching my lens, affecting my reading and making me feel ill. I called Dr Rachich's office and she saw me that day. She prescribed antibiotic drops and pills. The effect was almost immediate and very dramatic. I feel and look so much better!

After reviewing some texted photos of my eye after hours, Dr Rakich came in on Christmas Eve, when they were closed, to examine my eye more closely and determined that I had a burst blood vessel. Later that day when I was at the pharmacy, she talked with the pharmacist via cell phone to clarify some questions about her prescribed treatment. Two days later she reached out to check the condition of my eye. Six days later, my eye is healed and back to normal. GREAT, PERSONAL SERVICE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I now live out of state but I wasn't happy with the exam/RX from the local optometrist in my city so I saw Dr. Rakich when I had to come to San Antonio for family business. The staff is very friendly and well informed. They answer questions and are extremely helpful. The tests administered are thorough and allow for the absolutley best lens to be prescribed. Dr. Rakich is one of the very few doctors who actually keeps track of one's progress from one visit to the next and references one's history while in discussions about your treatment. What a joy it is to come to Dr. Rakich's office for an appointment. The office staff is most friendly and helpful. Dr. Rakich is such an excellent doctor taking the time to explain everything about my eyes and my vision. I totally trust her to take care of my vision. She makes you feel so special in every way. She cares about her patients on a personal level as well as a professional level. I will always be thankful that my friend Cyndy Crites told me about Dr. Rakich.

I have been seeing Dr. Rakich for about 15 years. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a wonderful manner. She explains things well, listens to concerns, and is very down-to-earth. Her staff is always friendly and professional. I also appreciate that she has staff who specialize in frames - they are great at helping me select the right shape and style for your face, as well as helping me choose lens options that best fit my lifestyle and visual needs. They have an extensive selection of frames in the office. I have referred several people to Dr. Rakich over the years and I highly recommend her! .

In Dr. Rakich's absence, I saw another doctor who was thorough and very nice. My waiting time was short and the office was run efficiently. While one patient was seeing the dr., I was having tests done. The office staff is also very friendly.

For about 30 years Dr. Rakich has been my Optometrist. Before her, there had been a few others who did not work out for me. After my first visit with Dr. Rakich my eye glasses problem was solved, and I knew that I had found the right eye doctor for me. Dr. Rakich has seen me through my middle age into my senior years in which I have recently needed cataract removal. She guided me to exactly the right place for this to be done and my vision is the best it has been in years.
