Absolutely amazing! I haven't gone to the Eye doctor in over 15 years and it was such a pleasant experience. Every last one of the staff were professional and upbeat. Dr. Baxter took the time to show me everything and explain all of what he was showing me. The lady showing me frames was very patient with me and helped me pick out something that fit me and my style. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I was impressed by the all of the staff at this office. The front office was welcoming and very pleasant. The technician that did most of my eye testing was upbeat and you can tell she likes her job! Dr. Earle was so sweet and genuine. The lady in the the eyeglasses department was very helpful and kind. You don't find such great service from start to finish in many places.

I had a1:15 appointment, the text I received stated I should arrive 10 minutes early with my insurance information. I arrived at 1:05 and there was a sign on the door stating the office was closed until 1:15 for lunch. The office should not tell patients to come early if the office is not even open!

Helpful, friendly staff that got me in and out with no wait time. My questions were answered during the testing and evaluation, and suggestions were made. I got good feedback while I was picking out new frames. And most importantly understood how to best use my insurance to my benefit. I also participated in the toy drive at Christmas, so was able to save on one of my pair of glasses.

The staff was friendly and professional. There was very little paperwork to fill out as most of it was done by the staff prior to arrival. My initial screening started with 5 minutes of arrival. As soon as that was complete, I was met by Adrienne Earle for my eye examination. Adrienne was thorough, listened to my concerns, and asked questions. Following my examination, I ordered new glasses and all the prices and options were completely explained. It was a great first time experience with this office.

I went in worried but I left happy and filled with tears. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The staff was super friendly and I was seen right away. When I reached Dr Baxter he asked me questions and finally he said, "I bet you I can make you see again." Right then my fears were gone. My eyes watered. After we were finished and he prescribed me glasses he told me, "I wish I was with you when you look into your glasses for the 1st time." I finally broke down and cried infront of the lady upfront. I felt like he actually cared about me and not as just a patient with money. I recommend this place to anyone. The reviews do not lie.

Ive been seeing Dr. Baxters office for the past 4-5 years. I had the pleasure of having both Dr. BAXTER AND DR. EARLE as my doctor. BOTH are amazing. It was a little concerning to me that your office didn't have the notes from Dr. Singletary about my cataract surgery and I hope taking a picture of my eye, didn't mess up anything with the light therapy that Dr. Singleton still has to do. I may be worried over nothing but since I spent $4000 for the new lenses, I want to make sure I get what I paid for. Everyone at your office is very professional and kind. I just was surprised they didn't have the notes about the surgery because I thought that was the whole point of the visit.

I like seeing Dr. Baxter for vision care! His staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s typically little to no wait time before you are taken back to be seen for your appointment. Dr. Baxter has the wisdom of years of experience in the field and is thorough in his exam. He usually double-checks any changes in my prescription just to confirm that the new prescription is accurate, which I really appreciate. He also tends to provide a trial pair of contacts for me to try for several weeks before finalizing a new prescription to order a longer supply of contacts. He is down-to-earth and provides patient education in an accessible way. I am glad that I chose this practice for eye care!

Dave put me in my first pair of contacts when I was in 9th grade. I'm 50 now so you do the math! His old office was in the shopping center next to the long gone Buy 4 Less 24 hour grocery store, a first in New Bern. I worked at that store and would often talk to Dave when I saw him outside his store catching a smoke break. He has long since quit by the way. He has always been very personal and extremely professional. He has state of the art equipment and has spared no expense to give the best eye care in the industry. Not only is Dave the best eye doctor I've ever seen over the years in my travels, he is also one of the most kindest people I know.

I have been struggling for several years with my reading and up-close vision. (I have always needed glasses/contacts for distance). I had previously been told, that I would have to wear “readers” and it just part of the aging process. I was very frustrated, until I went to see Dr Adrienne Earle. She was thorough in her explanation of my issue but diligent in exploring different contact options. Dr Earle listened and was overly patient as we tried several different combinations of strengths and lenses. It is a miracle!! I can now see distance and read a menu in a restaurant without readers!!!!Everyone in the office is friendly and I had the best experience from check in to check out. Thank you Dr Earle!!

I was a patient of Dr. Baxter years ago. When I moved back to New Bern, going back to Dr. Baxter's practice was the clear choice. As a new patient of Dr. Earle I have to say I could not be more impressed. My experience was efficient, professional, educational, and, dare I say it, fun! The staff are wonderful to work with, all of my questions and concerns were addressed, and they even let me share a few pirate stories while I was there. Dr. Baxter came highly recommended and he did not disappoint. My exam was thorough and he corrected my astigmatism and double vision. It also included several new devices that I had not previously experienced. The 3-D picture of the back of my eye was fascinating and it's use precludes having to get one's eyes dilated. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. The office is neat and clean and inviting. I would recommend to anyone.

The ladies fitting me for the glasses were fantastic but the doctor spent 35 seconds with me and tried to dart out of there. I stopped her to get an assessment of the exam and she said your good. I asked her what the test showed and she quickly said “your just fine”. No details. I’m glad I am fine but she didn’t leave me with any explanation of why I am fine.

I think I already completed a review, but here we go again. Now that I can’t remember the gal’s name, I think it was Michelle … she was very professional and extremely knowledgeable at her job. Plus, she was an absolute joy to speak with. As for Dr. Baxter, he was very thorough with his exam and explained everything to me while answering all my questions. He is a very nice man and I would recommend him to anyone needing eye care. I also was pleased with selection of frames and had no trouble finding a new pair. Also the gal that helped me was very nice and accomodating.

Extremely pleased. I was early for exam but taken back almost immediately. The attendant performed a thorough testing regiment using several machines. Then Dr. Earl, performed the traditional (read letter lines) eye exam, reviewed and analyzed the data from all. Turns out my eyes are in fairly good shape for my age and Dr. Earl indicated so and advised how best to proceed. I highly recommend the Baxter/Earl practice for everyone and especially if you have VSP coverage.

I had loss my glasses and was wearing the last contacts. My previous OD was no longer in business. What was I to do? I called several ODs no one was taking appointments until the end of March or first of April. I was placed on the cancel call list at several ODs. I received the call from Baxter and went in. The best compliment I can give is, "It was like I was patient of several years coming in for a routine eye exam." From the receptionists to the OD, patience and stress free!

Great experience here getting my eyes checked out ... the office was clean and I was promptly seen at the appointed time by the assistant and the Dr ... My only complaint is about their COVID masking policy ... I have no problem with other wearing masks if they so choose to do so but that decision should be up to the individual and not forced on them ... I may choose not to continue to use this office if this policy is not changed

Baxter Eye Care has an outstanding Optometrist and Staff. This was a first time visit and was the best eye care appointment I have ever had. After being told by many Eye Care locations that I would have to get an appointment 3 months out but Baxter got me in the following Monday. They took very special care of me and checked everything about my eyes that they could and explained everything to me, before and after the tests. The staff was amazing and the appointment was run so smoothly. The lens and frame selection was simple, quick and April was very knowledgeable about all phases. I was very pleased with the service I received from Baxter Eye Care. The admin staff clearly answered my initial questions regarding my Medicare coverage and set an appointment for the following day. Upon arrival I was promptly admitted for testing followed by further examination and discussion with Dr. Adrienne Earle. We reviewed my tests and I learned of a maintenance procedure for eye hygiene. Dr. Earle is very personable and did not rush the consultation. I am new to the area and found the facility to be very pleasant and the testing equipment to be state-of-the-art.
