Dr. Daccache is a wonderful doctor. He has helped me over the last ten years. I noticed my eyesight changed over the holiday season ten years ago. The subtitles on the TV were wavy but I put it off for a couple of weeks because the kids were home from college. Dr. Daccache immediately saved my eyesight. I lost some peripheral vision because I delayed my visit.

As sad as I am that Dr Bill Kirber is retiring I am happy for him. However I sincerely hope another ophthalmologist with Bills skills and care can be slotted into his spot in the Lakeville office. After having benefitted from Bills eye care for three decades plus the convenience of the Lakeville office for those of us in the far Northwest Corner is important to the surrounding communities.

Because I live in a continuing community I am very cognizant of people with physical disabilities/handicaps. I fall into that category and noticed a number of patients in your practice also are limited in abilities. I needed to use your restroom during my visit yesterday. The “room” is woefully in need of updating and most likely would not pass Danbury’s Health Department requirements for furnishIng a restroom for public use. In fact, I was nearly trapped inside as there was almost no room for me and my necessary walker. Your building serves a tremendous number of patients…update that bathroom and get with the proper facility!!!

Dr Ruggiero was wonderful--professional, informative, told me each step what he was doing and why. He could not have been better or more pleasant. The tech or MA did not explain any of the tests or procedures she performed. When I first went into the room, she looked in my eyes and called someone else in, a young man, who without explanation or saying anything shined a light into my eyes and brusquely checked if my pupils dilated. He then left without explanation and another female nurse came in and did the same thing, except she explained what she was doing and why. The entire episode was handled discourteously.

I thought my insurance covered the entire checkup and was surprised to have to pay $75 fee for "Refraction" . I believe I should have that returned. Doc was great. His assistants both were great! I thought my eyedrop 10 minute wait was much longer than that but have no proof since I was blind the entire time!

I was asked when I was with the intake nurse if I wanted a refraction test at the cost of 75 dollars and I said NO. When I checked out, I was told I was going to be billed for my copay, which I was fine with. When I got home, I saw my card was charged alot more than my copay. When I called the practice they said I was charged for a refraction test. I told them I did not authorise it and I still have not received my refund. Make sure you get a redeipt when you check out. I wish I did.

I was seen in a prompt timely manner and all the staff were friendly and efficient. I felt I was examined thoroughly and my condition (or lack of it) was explained patiently, in detail, and in easily understood terms. I was given a list of options, with pros and cons of each, and felt under no pressure to either decide immediately, or to be 'sold' on anything.

Each member of the staff including Dr. Tantri and Sue at reception were punctual, polite and clearly competent. This is the best eye clinic inside of an hour of my residence. Furthermore, my eye issues are complex and have been my entire life (78 yrs now). I have been to the very best eye doctors for over 70 years; Dr. Tantri ( formerly of Lakeville Eye)and his staff are right up there at the top of the profession.

The beginning of the appointment was not pleasant. My vision was tested. Also was asked . Also, has anything changed , Etc. Yes, the floaters are back, increased in sized & the amount of them. I was then asked when did that start.( about a little more then a week before this appointment. She seemed to be up set. She said am I awhere that this appointment is a follow up from last August. Yes I know, however She asked me That question about from last August, any changes. I did have changes, they were very recent.I couldn't wait to get out of that room.I am sorry, to me she seemed to gave an attitude.not a smile on her face. I would rather do this in person with the doctor & the other assistant. (Who is very pleasant. )

From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile, care, comfort and concern. Dr Burstein, as usual, was attentive, thorough, informative, efficient, and encouraging. He showed great patience clearly and completely answering my many questions. I appreciate his professionalism but also his sense of humor! His nurse, Katie, as always, provided much compassion & care. At Check Out, the patient in front of me required extra time; I was immediately directed to Reception where I was quickly & cheerfully taken care of. I love my physician, but the facility is overbooked and waits can be long. Many of the people working with the doctor do not introduce themselves, nor greet you. That is totally unprofessional and makes the visit less friendly . The receptionists are very nice and seem to work very hard

I waited 50 minutes to see the Doctor. The wait to see the technician was 30 minutes. She was less than pleasant. Acted as though she wanted to be elsewhere. During my long wait at least seven staff members hung out talking with each other the whole time. Made the waiting room noisy and too crowded. Covid is still around and I felt they put the patients at risk.
