I love this practice. I highly recommend this practice! I’m a dentist and from a provider’s perspective, this optometry practice checks off everything in patient care. Nice selection of designer frames and regular frame reasonably priced. Doc was kind and very pleasant and spent good amount of time explaining the process and answering questions. I’ve been to CFO three times and each time is exceptional. I appreciate the reminder calls, texts and emails. I never feel rushed by E. Limpiado O.D. She throughly explains what she is doing during eye examinations and is excellent in following up. Very patient to answer questions. The office is quiet, clean and tidy as well as the patient rooms.

I have worn glasses for over 65 years and have had many eye exams. Many parts of the exam were fine and the results were explained satisfactorily. The exam part using the phoropter felt rushed with the lenses being flipped so rapidly that it was sometimes difficult to distinguish between which one was better than the other. I kept asking Dr. Gendelman to repeat which one was 1 or 2, but what I should have asked was for her to slow down and let me truly distinguish which one was better. Even at the end of the exam, I was not sure (even though I could read 20/20 line) if the final prescription was the best one for my eyes. It did not seem crisp enough. With the cost of High Index lenses (which I require), I am considering having another eye exam to compare prescriptions before purchasing new glasses.

I recently moved to San Diego and was looking for an eye exam under my insurance and came across this place. It exceeded my expectations! It was so easy to make an appointment (ASAP because of my broken glasses) and get insurance handled. They also do not force you to buy glasses with them! That to me is always the most annoying part of going to an optometrist that sells glasses, but instead of being forceful they were wonderful and gave me my prescription without me even having to ask. I would choose to go there for the rest of my time in San Diego and I am now recommending all of my friends go there as well! Thank you so much to the wonderful team for making my time there so enjoyable!

If you are looking for an Optometrist, your search is over! Coronado Family Optometry is the perfect combination of the Island charm and modern technology. Dr. Patel and his staff are kind, engaging and generous with their time. This was my first visit since Covid and I was impressed with how clean everything is. The technology allows Dr. Patel to check the health of your eyes while maintaining a safe distance, only one person is in the office at a time and everyone wears a mask.

I had a great appointment with Dr. Patel. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions. I was having problems with the magnified glasses I wear as a dental hygienist and he even took the time to call his dentist ( a friend of his) to talk about what might be wrong with them. I left feeling much better about my eye situation. Wendy who was working the front desk handed me a clean pen and insured me that everything was in guidelines with the new Covid precautions. I could not be happier with my visit! Setting up the appointment was even a pleasure with the lovely lady who scheduled me. Upon arrival, Dr. Patel and staff were instantly warm and friendly. The doctor did a thorough check of my eyes, even using techniques I've never had. He was very thorough in finding my correct prescription, which is pretty tricky, and had some great "steampunk" glasses to test out said prescription. He spent a lot of time with me going over my options and answered all my questions. I never felt rushed. And, ordering new lenses and glasses was a breeze. I'm so happy to have discovered such lovely, competent people!

As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted and as soon as I got all the paperwork filled out they were ready for me. No wait time!! The doctor didnt try to sell me on the most expensive contacts but worked with my budget and was clear about all options. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and I feel like they took the time they needed with me and weren't rushing through my appointment. I will definitely continuing to go here for my eye care.

Coronado Family Optometry was so accommodating. Dr. Patel really explained all my options (bi-focals, graduated lenses, etc.) so I could make an informed choice. He was extremely friendly and answered all my many questions as a new patient. Both my husband and I were able to get an appointment within one day of asking. The staff helped me find small frames for my extra small head. They had many designer frame options in my size and almost all were under my insurance limit. I can't say enough about them. Can't wait to send our kids there next. They are a great family optometry office!

AWESOME experience... Dr. Patel is an excellent clinician and very dedicated to his patients. He addressed my overall eye health in a knowledgeable and professional manner and even took the time to help me select a pair of eyeglass frames when I was overwhelmed by the selection. His staff was able to navigate my insurance plan to ensure that I was well informed of what services were covered and whether I wanted any non-covered services before providing them. Having had a bad experience at another office in town, I was a bit weary of trying another "Coronado optometrist". Dr. Patel and his staff far exceeded my expectations and I will gladly refer to this practice in the future.

Coronado Family Optometry is the best eye doctor I have ever experienced. At first I thought it did not matter who you saw, but it turns out when I saw someone random, out of convenience because I knew I needed my eyes checked for contacts and I just walked in to any old place close to me at the time, I ended up literally getting the wrong eye prescription. Dr. Patel at Coronado Family Optometry rectified the issue I had from another place and I feel so much better! The service is also great and they are great listeners. I would recommend them to anyone I know.

The people here are awesome! They answered all my questions (and i had a lot!) and never seemed exasperated by them. Everything was straightforward, they explained what would happen, and happily answered the questions I had. They offer a discount for eye exams if you oddest have insurance which was really awesome to hear for me, someone who doesn't get eye care covered. They were kind and very available, walking around with me while i decided on glasses and such. Definitely family friendly too! They're an awesome team at Coronado Family, and I would definitely recommend them!
