Every staff member with whom I had contact was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. They engaged in conversation instead of just doing they jobs. It really made a big difference in my feelings taken care of.

Such amazing care provided by the techs and of course, the doctor. I rely on this office and have for many years. I would recommend in a heartbeat to anyone looking for professional, knowledgeable care.

Truly and incredible office and a fantastic Doctor. My family all see Dr. Kandavel and he is always a pleasure, kind and patient. In addition, his staff is amazing and run a great office. Highly reccomend to all.

This seems to assume my review would be entirely positive, which is not the case. I did not have a high opinion of Dr. B's doctoring judgment, as opposed to her surgical skills as to which I can form no informed opinion, but I believe she should have taken any necessary steps to get informed as to the condition of my right retina before recommending an unsuitable lens or even the cataract procedures at all, because my vision has been more problematic since then, in that I am still just as by glare and my reading vision is somewhat degraded. I also didn't much like to be told it was up to me because this is not like choosing a pair of shoes; I am really not in a position to make an informed decision about my eyesight without a clear recommendation. My first visit to the Encino surgical center was not at all good due to a scheduling mixup and in retrospect I don't think the extra cost of the large robot procedure (?) was necessary or worth it. This evaluation does not pertain to Dr. Lintz who has not performed any procedure but will do so early February and I feel confident in her judgments and to undergo the procedure at her hands. The clinic is well regarded and well run, it is comfortable to be in and the staff are pleasant and seem entirely competent. I have not answered all the multiple choice questions as I am really commenting on what happened previously and not pertaining to my most recent visit.

The office staff, from start to finish, are friendly and professional. Dr. Kandavel is personable and speaks to me in terms I can understand. Easy to make decisions if I have to! Always a great experience!

I had many things not go well at my appointment. First the Doctor didn't have a definite idea if I was a candidate for Lasik sore knot. Next the woman at the reception desk upon checking out after I had been dilated and in some discomfort, proceeded to charge me incorrectly for services rendered when I had VSP Insurance benefits. Instead of $20 copay I was charged 30 dollars and $55 for a refraction charge that should not have been billed to me. She suggested that I check with the insurance company and sending my information to get reimbursed for what you charge me. So those factors did not sit completely well with me as a new patient. Much can be said about the integrity of a doctor, and in turn his/her practice skills, by how the office presents itself to the patient. The soft, peaceful ambiance when you first enter is quite promising. Sure, it's a very busy and regulated space but run compassionately and orderly; plus Dr. K is thorough and always genuinely concerned about your eyes, and I've witnessed him step out to address another area of medicine if he has something to offer. Overall, I doubt one could do much better.

Dr Colvard and staff--unlike so much of today's "robo-healthcare"--listen and respond to questions and concerns. This office's basic humanity is front and center. I'm certain that my speedy recovery is due to, (a) Dr. Colvard's kindness and expertise and, (b) the psychological support patients receive from all staffers, from the doctors to the nurses and the administrative support.

Dr. Kandaval is the kindest most caring doctor I have seen in my life. He took a great deal of time not only with the testing and diagnosis, but addressing my fears and course of treatment as well. Highly recommend
