Dr Ostrom worked with my eye issues and pretty much solved it. I had cataract surgery on both eyes. Almost eliminating the need for glasses. However I need a prism in my left eye in order to align my vision. My first attempt was off. But we tried again and pretty much knocked it out of the park. I am still getting used to my new sight after two weeks.

Needed an emergency appointment for an eye injury. The practice was able to accommodate me within a couple hours of my call. Dr. Ostrom quickly diagnosed the situation as a metal fragment embedded in the cornea which he was able to remove. I have had daily followup visits over the past few days to closely monitor the healing process as possible further treatment may be needed.

Dr. Ostrom is very experienced and professional. He is skilled with Eye Care. However, the atmosphere in his office is tense and his manner is impersonal and perceived as uncaring. He seems to have little regard for his patients feelings. There are never any other patients in the office, sometimes only 1 other patient is seen. I would not recommend his practice to others unless they absolutely had to receive care there.

Dr Ostrom was friendly and efficient. Gave me a thorough eye exam. Even verified my cheater glasses were the strength they were supposed to be and provided me with a coupon for dry eye drops that saved me $1089.00!!! I would definitely recommend seeing him for your next eye exam.

Received reminders for my appt with instruction to call when I arrived. I called and was met at the door with no waiting. Still requiring masks which I am good with. Had my eye exam along with a review and fitting for a new set of glasses. Found Dr. Ostrom and staff there to be very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable in both the exam and eyeglass selection and fitting. They explained what they were doing and provided me with options. A very good experience.

I have been seeing Dr. Ostrom for over 15 years. I have always been impressed by his staff and his concern for the health of my eyes. Like me, he's a sailor in after my first visit he told me I had small black specks on my retina from too much sun and that I should wear sunglasses more often, especially when sailing. I wonder if another doctor would have noticed the specks as quickly as Dr. Ostrom.

The actual eye exam was great. Very professional on all counts. My issues lie in two places - I don not need to have an auto reminder sent to me 3 or 4 times in the days before my appointment. It is simply too much. One reminder is sufficient. We are all geting way too many emails and text messages. Once I have confirmed my appointment, please leave me alone. Second, having to still call from our car when we arrive for our appointments? Really ? This may have been a good precaution at the beginning of the pandemic when no one knew what we were dealing with. But not now. The attitude toward COVID is changing. Maybe try changing along with it.... Thanks for listening...

As always, everyone was kind and courteous as well as professional. I understand the COVID-19 precautions but personally feel that masks do not provide the protections that people have been told they do. I am also of the opinion that the virus has mutated to the degree that most people will be able to survive an infection, especially those of us who have been vaccinated and boosted. I am not averse to wearing a mask to make people feel better and do when requested, but it is a waste of time and effort.

Wearing glasses since high school. Now 81 years old. Have had eye exams here in the States as well as overseas. Of all those exams, Dr. Ostrom was the only optometrist who took the time to carefully explain my condition, including showing me visuals of what was taking place. He is a rarity in that regard. Dr. Ostrom provides exceptionally reliable and trustworthy eye care. Not only routine exams but I trust him with my overall eye health from treating infections to monitoring for degenerative conditions such as glaucoma. The office is very pleasant in a nice location with very friendly staff.

My left eye was completely red and felt warm. Due to an exposure to someone with Covid, I was unable to go into the office for a diagnosis so Dr. Ostrom did a virtual checkup with me. He prescribed some drops for me which got my eye feeling better the next day. Thank you for the visual phone appointment!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Ostrom for over 10 years. I never feel rushed and he always takes his time to explain the purpose of his tests and any issues with my eyes. Years ago he noticed that I had some issues with my retinas and asked me if I wore sunglasses when sailing. He's also a sailor and recognizes the importance of wearing sun glasses when sailing. I said no, but since then have always worn sunglasses. This is an example of exceptional care that comes from a doctor that spends the extra time to get to know his patients.

As I expected, Clinton Eye Associates was in complete compliance with the guidelines relative to COVID-19. I called from my car to inform them I was there. Promptly at 1100 (my appointment time) I was waved in by the technician at the door (wearing a mask, as was I). She took me to an exam room performed some of the initial tests. Dr. Ostrom came in (wearing a mask) and performed the remaining tests. Prior to going into another room Dr. Ostrom insured it had been sanitized. I saw no other patients while in the office environment. The receptionist cubicle was completely protected by plexiglass. No one should be concerned about going to Clinton Eye Associates.

On both occasions Dr. Ostrum took the time to show me the pictures of my eyes so I could better understand what he was talking about. my dermatologist was concerned with a mark on lower eye lid, called clinton eye for appt. and hadnt seen them in awhile, when dr. was explained the reason for visit he took pictures, measured, looked at older pictures to see if mark was always present, and then referred me to branford practice for a surgical opinion, they made the appointment, got me in the very next day, all seems to be well and no need for biopsy, clinton eye did a great job of helping out with such short notice, thank you, Mike Venuti

I definitely would recommend Clinton Eye Associates. They're respectful and don't speak down to you, there's never a wait time, and Dr. Ostrom is super nice. Even my six year old liked him!

You should of known!! And I was charged for an exam to determine corrective lenses, and this was not a valid test when I was experiencing difficulty with watering eyes.

I never thought I could see without my progressive lens or my multi focal contacts. But today I woke up and could see the best I could see since we started! I am very excited and worth all the visits and the contact changes! Thank you for helping me!

Dr. Ostrom is an excellent doctor. He understands my eye needs and always fully answers my questions. He uses technology to help him and, unlike in some doctors' offices, he shares his "screen" with me and we have a discussion based on what's on the screen.

Recently, my two children and I came to see Dr. Ostrom for eye exams and glasses, and we were thrilled with every aspect of our visit from beginning to end.
