You are seen in a very timely manner. The staff knows what they are doing with testing and face to face time with patients. Dr. Brending is excellent. I have always been treated efficiently. They know their business and will not waste your time. Appropriate recommendations are made for products and this office does not try to over-sell things to you. Dr. Brending is very good. The staff so-so and only sort-of friendly. It takes too long to get appointments and to receive contacts. Also, contacts and glasses are very expensive. I can get the same exact contacts online for half the price.

I was a walk in to this private practice. Tge front desk was very helpful. I live in Spring and walked in to request my grandsons glasses to get repaired so that I can take them to his school in the area. Tge admin stated they were unrepairable. However she went over beyond to have them locked in as a temporary fix. I made an appointment to come back for an exam & a purchase of lenses, and my grandson was satisfied. This office is very professional and helpful. From one business owner to another quality service at its best, is key.

The feel from my appointment is that this is all business and how to up sell the patient. The process was cold, precise and efficient. I felt like I was at a large department store where I was just a number. The service provided was great and spot on but has lost all sense of friendliness, I was just a dollar sign. It was like everything was read from a script by a robotic figure.

Brending and Chen, and I've been pleased with my experiences with each of them. All of the staff I've interacted with have been incredibly friendly and have been able to answer any questions that pop up. Services are explained in a way that makes them easy to understand without any added pressure, and billing questions are handled with tact and professionalism. Would definitely recommend Clear Lake Eye Center to anyone looking for an eye care center in the area.

Dr. Brending's clinic uses state-of-the art eye exam equipment. Dr. Brending explains all tests she runs. She displays and explains the results of these tests. She always takes time to listen to any eye issues I have and offers options for treatment. Ms. Broc provided excellent assistance in helping me select glasses. She has a terrific eye for what looks good and quickly helped me decide on 2 pair. I always feel like I am in the best hands at Dr. Brending's clinic.

I would highly recommend Clear Lake Eye Center due to the service that I received. The assistant that helped me before the doctor saw me was truly passionate about what she does and that is rare to see for that position in my experience. Then when I saw the doctor she was just as passionate and extremely nice. She showed that she actually cared about me and solved a huge problem of mine just by simply changing the type of contacts I wear. Great experience and great customer service by all!

I hadn't had my eyes checked in about 10 years due to very bad previous experience. At 73 yrs young It was obvious to me that I really needed glasses since I couldn't even read anymore. My wife scheduled an appointment for me to see Dr Brending since my wife had had good experience at Clear Lake Eye in the past several months. First of all I found the technician Jessica to be very patient with me as she walked me thru the various eye diagnostic machines. I say She was patience because when I goofed up by blinking or moving my head when I wasn't supposed to. (I have had some neurological issue, strokes resulting in some dementia) So I appreciated her calmness and gentleness. Then I got to meet Dr Brending who was extremely thorough and very carefully explained everything that was done and what she was going to do. She was so kind and caring and totally put me at ease I was very thankful to be able to have her as my Dr. I then saw the certified optician Mikal He was really great too. Very knowledgeable and caring. He explained the lenses he was recommending as well as the options that I could chose from and answered all my questions. I told my wife that I really felt good about my experience at this office and just how professional everyone was. Now I am looking forward to getting my new glasses so that I can see and read again! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! I never felt 'rushed' as I have before in some optometrist offices. Dr. Brending spent quality time with me during my exam and explained each procedure and all results in an easy-to-follow manner. I never realized an eye exam could be such an enjoyable experience. Will definitely return to Clear Lake Eye Center for my next eye exam!

I got received as a new patient, I asked multiple times what my insurance covered and they kindly answers. Usually people get bothered when asking to many questions or questions above their pay grade but everything was answered. Dr. Chen was great, answered every question I had for her and even helped me select my frames. I didn't get hit with hidden fees but I was not aware there was a material fee but it was fine because the service was great so it didn't bother me as much.

To thoroughly explore my options, Dr. Brending let me try on a gas permeable contact to see if I thought I was going to tolerate them well. None of my previous doctors has gone that far. I even got to put the lens in and take it out of my eye by myself as part of the experience. I also appreciated the thorough explanation of results on the extensive eye exam. Eventually, Shelby and Mikel helped me find glasses that filled way more of my peripheral vision that my current glasses lacked. Mikel helped me explore every option I might be interested in, including going outside with gray and green transition lenses to see which was best for me. I can't say enough about the personal care and attention to detail offered in a very kind manner by the whole office.

Dr Chen was great. Very friendly and informative. Jennifer (assistant) was very helpful in answering all of my questions. The facility had much more diagnostic equipment than what I expected. Mikel (optician) was also very friendly and knowledge about their selection of glasses. When I left, I felt completely comfortable about the decisions I have made. The front desk staff were ok.

I wish I could. The office was "understaffed" during our appointment so they could not give us a trial pair of contacts. We have to take off of work and school a second time now, in order to go through a "teaching" class for contacts that normally happens during your contact lens appointment. We offered to wait, or even bring out daughter back later that day since we had already taken the day off and they just absolutely refused to make it happen. It is seriously important that she have her vision corrected that day due to a possible concussion. I have been to this office to see Dr Brending multiple times and have never had a negative experience. The ONE time we go to this office and see Dr. Chen, it was a terrible experience and it ruined it for us due to the seriousness of the circumstances and the lack of consideration from Mary Lou and the Office Manager, Micheal.

Both doctors are the kind of doctors that the world needs more of. They care. The staff discovered that I'd been straining my eyes during eye exams for years and hadn't even known that it was an issue. Ah, the curse of an over-achiever... Once I became aware of what I was doing, I was able to get a more accurate prescription for my glasses and contacts. It's the little things that make the greatest impact.

I reaaly felt I received an excellent eye exam. Was not rushed at all during the lens focusing adjustments. The choice of frames was excellent as well. Very stylish but durable looking.

The office is very nice. The front desk girls are very sweet and very helpful. My daughter really connected with Dr. Chen which was wonderful! The lady that helps pick the glasses/contacts is super sweet and offered a package because my daughter wanted glasses and contacts.

My appointment was a very pleasant experience from the time I entered the office until I left. The staff is exceptional in customer service, patient care, and professionalism. I could tell that the office staff is a great representation of the Doctor's in attitude and professionalism. I have seen a total of 5 Optometrist and Dr. Chen is by far the most remarkable in patient care and professionalism. Everyone were fantastic.

I, as well as my entire family, have been coming to see Dr. Brending for a long time and absolutely love her. She is a family friend, but that does not stop her from being professional. She always knows what brand/type of contacts to recommend based on your personal history and what is best for you. She is also so pleasant to and has a great "bedside" manner. My husband now sees her and also really likes her. We love Dr. Jackie!
