My husband and I have been with Dr Grigg for over 15 years and I don’t see that changing any time soon.

Scheduled my daughters 1st appointment a couple weeks from now. Seriously a great experience.

I came in with an eager 3 year old, was promptly greeted by a friendly staff member and was taken back to start my appointment within 2 minutes. My entire appointment was less than 30 minutes! Which was GREAT! I knew what I wanted and had no concerns so I was able to get in and out in record time. My doctor was very friendly and thourough. I was fitted with contacts, given a substantial mail-in rebate, and some glasses were suggested to me that were a perfect fit for my style. It was a great experience! I’m definitely recommending my family and friends to go here.

Its unfortunate but there have been a host of errors with getting my new glasses. The biggest concern was the lack of communication and empathy from the team around the errors made on one pair of glasses. 1. Glasses came in after three weeks of waiting. Called two weeks in to find out the lab was having issues surfacing the left lenses. Again, I had to call for the updates. 2. When they came in, I couldn't see out of them. Optician told me they were measured wrong but that wasn't the only problem. Had to reschedule an appointment to find out what was going on. This was now pushing me out 4 weeks from getting lenses. 3. Had the exam the following week and got correct script for my eyes. Optician told me new lenses would take about a week or maybe even less to get in and they would keep me updated. He measured for the lenses and I left. 4. A week had passed and I received no update on the lenses. I have to call for an update and I was told they were shipping in two days and i could come Wednesday after 12 to get. 5. I come Wednesday at 3pm and nobody even had replaced the lenses so i had to wait. Personally, it would seem to me that would've been a priority when you tell a customer to come in after 12. 6. Wednesday evening I notice they are hurting my nose so when I took them off to look at them, I noticed the frames were scratched by one of the screw holes. I had them for less than two hours. 7. I took then back in on Thursday to find a way forward and was told they could get me another frame ordered but it would take 1-2 weeks. Besides that, the lady who helped (who was very nice) said when she replaced the lenses yesterday that she noticed the scratch but didn't say anything to me or curious enough to ask. The office manager was spoken to by the optician (not by me) and they offered me a $125 refund. That's nice and I accept it, but that doesn't fix the big concerns. How does the team better communicate to support the customer experience?

I was very impressed by the office. It was clean and very stylishly decorated. (Not a big deal to some, but to me it shows that they respect their patients enough to make it very inviting.) The staff was very kind and scheduling an appointment was very easy. Through each part of my visit they throughly explained to me what they were doing and why. I appreciated it since it has been a very long time since my eyes have been checked. I saw Dr. ROB griggs and he is very friendly. He gave me the time I needed without feeling rushed. You get the feeling that he loves what he is doing and he enjoys his patients. He explained a few things to me so I could understand more about the anatomy of my eye and I was excited to have someone tell me about my body than just looking at images and saying I am all good. He said my vision was great and I was good to go. I am thrilled to have found a provider that I feel I can trust with my family.

Great place to get your eyes checked. If you don't like having your eyes dilated they have a new technology that allows them to take pictures of your eye. They will show you everything about your eye health which is also awesome.

One of the reasons why I am a loyal member of clarify eye is because of the hospitality and survive. Everyone there is so nice from the first smile you get walking in the door, to the good bye at the end of your visits. And it's not just another appointment. The people there remember who you are and take a little time to get to know you and how your doing every time you come in.

Amazing staff and incredible care. We just moved to the area and most of my family needed new prescriptions for glasses- so I made appointments for myself and my little kids. It could have been a chaotic, terrible experience but the staff was so helpful with my kids and we were able to do the appointments and get glasses without any problems! The doctors and employees were all so kind and patient. I couldn’t have been happier with my experience. ClarifEye will be our family eye center from here on out!

I see Dr Rob Grigg. He always explains things to me and shows me visual examples of the eye as well as computer pictures of my own eyes and explains what is going on with them. He diagnoses, treats, and explains things very well. One thing I would like improved is the communication between staff. Such as: I needed and was told I would have a prescription sent in. Then checked same day to see if it had actually been sent and was told the person would check with the Dr as soon as he was finished with current patient. 2 days later drug store knew nothing about it and when I called Dr's office they didn't know anything either and said I would need to wait until they talked to Dr. Which I had already been told 2 days before. Also some of my appointment information in computer isn't accurate. At least according to what the person looking at the computer is telling me. What she says does not match my earlier communications with them. I would like that fixed. I love my doctor and his expertise. Let's just fix office communication.

I had an average appointment of getting a prescription of glasses and then dilating my eyes to check the health of my eyes. All of that AFTER insurance was $150, where as my sister went into Boise and got the same thing for $70 WITHOUT insurance.

When I was making my next appointment in 6 months Crista put me down for Wednesday October 8th at 9:20AM. October 8th is a Monday. There was a note on my chart about an appointment for January 7, 2019 but no time, so Crista said she would check into that and call me back. The next day she called and left a message on my voicemail that I did have an appointment on January 7th at 9:00AM for diabetes check. She also said I have an appointment on June 3rd at 9:00AM. June 3rd is a Sunday. I will have to find out if they really are open on Sunday.

I was not real confident with my tests that were performed on my last visit. I’m sorry, Rob but you have me spoiled with your confidence and knowledge. Also when I asked the gal what we were doing today, she didn’t mention the visual field test, only to find out when Lisa came in, that I was indeed supposed to have had the visual field test. Then there was technical issues with the tests being sent to the computer. I didn’t feel that the gal doing my test was that confident with the v. f. Machine and wonder if the test was accurate, especially since the left eye showed some problems since the last one taken. I am legally blind (have had lens removed) so there is no point in try to read small lines on an eye chart. It the technician doing the vision checks would have read my chart first she would have known that and not bothered to tell me take my glasses off and to try to read the small lines on the eye chart. Otherwise my visit went well and I like the new Dr. (Mullins??)

The staff was courteous. I did wait a while in between dilation and my exam with the doctor - not a huge deal. I had some vision changes in one eye due to pregnancy - I was told from other sources later that this may go back to normal after breastfeeding and some eye doctors don’t recommend prescription changes during this time. This wasn’t mentioned during my appt - not sure if it’s just a matter of provider preference. The biggest problem was the handling of my insurance and finances. The plan was one that they weren’t familiar with so it required a call to the insurance company. It took some time to get everything figured out so I did wait longer than intended, but the staff apologized for this. From my end, it was not clearly explained that the out of pocket cost that they came up with was only half of the total actually due (I was told $67 on the day of my appt and was under the impression that this was the total cost not covered by insurance). I was told to wait to leave a payment and they would call after they figured out how to enter it in the system. When they called two days later, I was told my total costs were around $175. I went to the office to ask about this and was told that the $67 would have only been half of the payment anyway and that the doctors sat down and decided on this amount. This seemed a little misleading to me and I didn’t have that amount to pay out of pocket, so opted to cancel my lens/frame purchase for now. Despite this issue, the associate who handled this was polite throughout and understanding of my concerns. I will likely go with a different provider in the future, but respect how they handled my problem.

Dr Grigg saved my day for me as I was blinded by a scratch in my upper eye from dog the night before parent teacher conferences and my basketball practice. My vision was an absolute blur because my other eye had a cataract so I literally had fuzzy blindness all morning. My bad eye was fuzzy and couldn't open my good eye long enough to see anything. His office was able to get me in for an appt that same and Dr Grigg made it possible to open my good eye and took away the pain which gave me unbearable headache and I was able to complete my night with my students parents and coach my practice. Thanks so much for helping me I felt blessed to have you as my doctor!!!!

I was disappointed with my experience. It was not discussed prior to my appointment that my contact fitting would not be included nor is it covered by insurance. I didn't change prescription brands, these were the same contacts I've used for years yet I was still charged for a fitting. At my previous eye doctor the contact fitting was included in the visit & I never received this additional charge that clarifEye issues. For this reason I will not be a returning customer to ClarifEye.

Amy, we're sorry we didn't communicate with you more clearly. The contact lens evaluation is something that every eye doctor's office does with every contact lens wearing patient, whether they disclose the associated fee to you or not. Some doctor's offices will wrap it up in their main exam fee so that you don't see it. Most insurance companies will contribute towards the contact lens material but not towards the contact lens service fee. Most importantly, the eye doctor is evaluating your eye health in relation to contact lens wear, not simply looking for power, brand or fitting changes. We'll work harder to be clear with patients what their insurance covers.

When selecting new glasses the individuals helping were very polite and did their best but the lingo is very frustrating and meaningless. "I can put you in the expression" sounds like i'm buying a car and has no meaning. Ranking the lenses from good to best and explaining the coating options would help greatly. I also felt I was getting the hard sell on the coatings. Just the facts and supporting data is all that is needed.

I expressed concern over the financial obligation because I don't have vision insurance. The response was interesting. The dr. did say they'd try to bill it as medical, but basically told me to average it out over the next couple years and if I considered that, it wasn't too expensive. Which is true, I guess, but when I'm asked to write a $500+ check on the spot that's ALOT of money. There's no consideration for payments. I feel like my vision is held hostage. I bring myself, because at some point I can't stand the bluriness, but I can't afford to bring my kids. We have to take turns based on the biggest complaint. I was just a little taken back with the response. Every other doctor or office takes payments, so it's just hard to go regularly to your office.

Rhonda, thanks for the feedback and we're sorry about the confusion. The doctor was suggesting that exam services are normally paid in-full at the time of service. We do accept payments on eye wear all the time, and in fact, often accept payment even on the services too, if needed. We've since communicated this to you by phone and appreciate you are now planning to bring your kids as well.

The quality of your office environment has gone down significantly. We have had nothing but issues with our recent visits. The staff member wasn't very professional, reeked of cigarette smoke and ended up ordering a completely different frame than the one I wanted. We have had multiple issues with warrantee issues on other family members glasses too. I was really put off by the fact that your receptionist cannot extend the courtesy of actually getting out of her chair to go let an optitician know that I was there for my appointment. You are letting technology ruin the previously personal environment that Dr. Grigg works so hard to create. I think we will be shopping for a new eye doctor, not because we dislike Dr. Grigg but the office is less than stellar.

I felt that that was not a very clean sanitation practice.You also don't have a very large selection of frames to choose from for males. When a patient comes for a medical visit, their medical insurance will be billed. When a patient comes for routine vision care, their optical (vision) insurance will be billed in accordance with proper billing practices. As contact lenses are a medical device and are on the eye throughout the year, the purpose of the evaluation is to diagnose trouble with your eyes from contacts you may not know is developing and to ensure your eyes remain healthy every year. The contact lens strength and brand may change or remain the same during this process.

I feel like this office is only trying to make a buck. Last year I asked about lasiks, I was told that Hollingshead was the best and would only be recommended to go there. This time I was told that some other place was the best and that I should only go see them. Whats even more frustrating is being charged $50 to put a pair of contacts in my eyes that are the same brand of contacts that I am already wearing and have no problems with. The prescription was such a slight difference that the doctor said I could wear my old supply until I wanted to buy new ones, but was still charged. I will not be coming back to this office I have a lot of referrals from co-workers that do not get charged and in fact are given multiple trials of contacts at their visits with no fee.

Danielle, thanks for your feedback. Dr Mark Hollingshead and Dr Mark Walker, both of whom we recommend, are both excellent LASIK surgeons. You were not charged anything for the trial lenses. The fee was for the doctor's evaluation of your eye's healthy wear of contact lenses including fit, comfort, clarity, power and tear film analysis. Contact lenses are a medical device worn on the eye that can lead to infection and injury. All eye doctors every year evaluate the status of your eye's healthy wear of contact lenses and require a fee for their time and professional expertise in doing so.

Glasses were first ordered May 15th, lenses were wrong prescription, returned 1 week later, and waited 3 weeks. New glasses came, lenses were still wrong prescription, returned 1 week later. They told me it was fine, and that I was still in the adjustment period. I took the glasses to another optometrist, who told me the prescription was wrong. I returned several days later, was confronted by the person who I had been dealing with the whole time. All of my opinions and evidence were ignored. She insisted that in spite of the fact that another office had confirmed the incorrect prescription, I was still in the adjustment period. Finally I was able to speak with Dr. Griggs. He examined the glasses, agreed with me, and was extremely helpful with solving the issue. It is now July 13th, I am waiting to see when I will finally have new glasses.

The glasses at the practice are very expensive. Also I was not explained the break down of my charges in detail. The staff and doctor were really nice. When doing the 360° eye scan my eye was not scanned very well by the staff as my wife's eye was scanned. Overall it was a good visit but I would probably not going for an eye exam here again due to very high price. We got one pair of glasses one pair of contacts and two exams and it costs almost $900.

Since my first visit in December, my contact orders has been lost, it took me coming in 2 months later to get request them. Than at that time they could not find my information. At the time of that visit, I had updated my phone numbers. I came back in to order my color contacts. The worker who order my color contact was having trouble understanding the program to order them. Once again I update my phone number and requested a call to know why my eye medication was not order back in December, this was the 2nd request for this. I came in a week later after getting the notification that my color contacts was in only to find the boxes that was order was only for my right eye. Which lead me to speak the office manager. I expressed my concerns; I was advised that I would get a refund of one of the boxes of color contact. Only after checking my account less than $24.00 was returned to me. I felt that if the return was going to be less than the amount, it should be explained.

Karen, Thanks for your feedback on the exam chairs. Two of our exam rooms have exam chairs where the seat you sit on has a leather that is flat. You may be referring to this. You'll be happy to know that in the coming months we are planning on having those exam chairs re-upholstered with a more rippled and cushioned material. Hope this helps. Byron, you do have a good vision plan. There are different levels of vision benefits depending on which VSP plan you have. So others who have VSP may have more or less eye wear coverage than you. Looking forward to dispensing your new glasses to you. You picked great-looking frames!

I was not expecting to pay the extra $100 for this visit. I have always paid the copay under major medical. It has always been billed that way in the past. I asked for this visit to be billed that way and was simply told it couldn't be done that way this time. I did understand I needed to pay for the optomap but was not given any other options for payment. New staff in front seem cold and clinical. Love Dr Griggs and have always had confidence in him. The technician who did my tests was very friendly.

And we have plenty of medium-priced and value line frames as well. Always ask our opticians who are happy to find eye wear that fits your needs.

Yes, there are other options. One great option patients love is Care Credit, which can be used towards both the exam and the contacts and glasses. You can apply within minutes right in our office. Also, you can use your Flex Spending money or Health Savings Account money from work. Let us know if you'd like to utilize any of these options.

Give your office staff a key! I had to be brought through the employee entrance since the doctor had not yet gotten into the office. The building layout is a bit different, as I had never been there before I thought the entrance was on the side near Walgreens so I ended up walking all the way around the building until I realized where the front entrance was.

Very professional , everyone is very kind and compassionate, always excellent customer/patient service. A few years ago I tried Clarifeye, I was very disappointed in the customer service and selection of frames/glasses that were available, I vowed not to come back, then this summer I was in need of a new pair of sunglasses and heard that artisan optical no longer carried my Oakley sunglasses, so that left me with no choice but to give Clarifeye a try again, at the time of my appointment my niece had just passed away in a tragic car accident, everyone in the office was very compassionate to my situation, they even sent me a sympathy card after my visit, it was like a whole new experience this visit, they went above and beyond to make me happy with my purchase/ selection of eye wear, Dr. Rob Grigg is very Professional and helpfull! THANK YOU !

Understanding some training was underway total appointment time was three hours and that seemed a little excessive. That being said everyone was polite and attentive. I continue to be suprised at the cost of eyecare and was tempted to try Walmart but am very happy with the Doctor and am a bit concerned there would be a loss of ability elsewhere. I have bought my glasses from Costco before and might have to resort to that in the future.

This was my first visit to the clinic. I only have lived in the state of Idaho, one year this month. The clinic was impressive, clean, and the staff was very professional.
