I am not specifically impressed with this location/office or the front desk staff. The hygienist does a thorough job and cares about making the client comfortable. I think there needs to be improvement in signage for this office and a friendlier desk staff so people feel welcome and comfortable when they arrive, which I did not.

Had a deep cleaning procedure. The associate had a very professional attitude (not trying to be chatty) and went about her business and got it done in a timely manner. This procedure is not a painless operation, but she must have done it correctly since I had no pain or soreness afterwards. I was expecting to have pain that night.

This review was already posted on Google. "New to the area and needed to find a dentist that was in my insurance network. I was very pleased with my experience at Chesney Dentistry in Fountain City. The front office staff already had authorization from my insurance carrier when I arrived and were both professional and friendly. My hygienist was personable and very thorough. I was way overdue for a cleaning due to my move from out of state and she restored my teeth to the stain free pearly whites they're meant to be. Dr. Nathan Chesney was also very personable. If looking for a good dentist, you can't go wrong with Chesney Dentistry...great experience from start to finish."

I'm 68 and I still don't like going to the dentist. However I have to say that doctor Chesney and his crew are excellent. I was made comfortable They sensed I was nervous and did all they could to keep me calm. But most importantly they went to work and solved all my issues with my teeth. I am now 1 happy camper.

This visit was for my children that are pre teens- teens. The only thing I would suggest is to actually have the parent come back to meet the dentist, especially for the first time. I did talk with the dental hygienist and she was very nice. But again, I have no idea about the dentist.

Good care was provided by friendly and professional staff. I had severe pain caused by the x-ray sensor digging into my gums. Several days later one area of my gums is still tender and causes pain when I brush my teeth. Also, I was shocked by the cost of service. In the future, I will decline the x-rays.

I'm always pleased with the service of the hygienists and staff. They're friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Gary is fantastic and has a personality as big as the state of Texas. Conversely, Dr Nathan seems to lack personality. I suppose as long as he does his job well that's really what matters. But it's Dr Gary who keeps me loyal to Chesney Dentistry. My answer is below are based on my hygienist rather than my experience with Dr Gary.

I have been with Chesney Dentistry North since they opened their doors many years ago in North Knoxville. Dr. Chesney is a dentist that I can trust for accurate, honest, and professional work, and enjoys hearing good jokes occasionally. The injection of Novocaine is something that I have often dreaded, but Dr. Chesney's way of doing this has never been painful, which I would assume, would be a great relief for kids. They have warm and friendly receptionists at the front, great hygienists, and excellent dental assistants that provide your every need and comfort during minor fixes or crown procedures. If a temporary crown comes off, I have been slid into the schedule the next day for the quick fix. And they have an emergency number in case you get a toothache after business hours.

Dr Chesney dentisr wonderful. He was professional and very caring. I have to get a tooth pulled and was very nervous about it. He gave me a lot of good options and I will be going back in a week or so to get the tooth pulled. He makes me very comfortable and I trust him. His assistant Bri was also very kind. I do not enjoy going to the dentist but my experience with Dr Chesney was better than I thought it would be. I I would strongly recommend him.

Collective staff is always very friendly and helpful as well. Hygienist routinely asked if I was doing okay and asked appropriate questions as well. Dentist friendly at the outset of the procedure. He made the decision to numb my mouth, which was helpful with pain tolerance, since I have sensitive teeth. When he got up to leave the room after giving me multiple shots, he did not share that he would be back as soon as the medicine had time to numb me appropriately, however, the dental assistant did tell me before she got up and left the room. After finishing up, he left and went on to other patients. Perhaps he said something and I failed to hear what he said. Although just my second visit with him, he seemed less overt than the previous visit. I realize he has other patients and maybe he did not have the time he had previously.

Dr Chesney was 30 minutes late arriving at my chair side. It was unfortunate as I was his first patient of the day. No explanation..no apology..I had to call back later to challenge him as for the reason for his tardiness. Only then did I get an apology. He reminded me of Forest Tucker’s character in John Wayne’s “the sands of Iwo Jima.” If I had been waiting on Dr Chesney for a re-supply of ammunition on the high ground..I would have been dead!

I have had previous horrible experiences with my old dentist and had hesitations about going to someone new but I needed to keep up with my cleanings. I haven’t been to a dentist in approx. 3 years because every time I went..I’d go in WITH NO PAIN and leave WITH PAIN.. Therefore, that created my phobia of dentists. Well, I broke a molar and was forced to find a dentist to have this fixed. I found Chesney Dentistry through reviews and convenient to work and home. I was scared to death going in..worried about not only the discomfort I would endure but being judged for not having been to a dentist in so long. My worry was for NOTHING!! Dr. Nathan and his staff were AWESOME! I always said you can pretty much judge a dentist on how he gives you Novicane...I didn’t even feel the needle AND I had NO discomfort or pain the next day!! I never thought I’d say this..but I am actually looking forward to going back and getting my teeth and gums healthy again under the care of Chesney Dentistry! Thank you all for restoring my faith and confidence in dentists!

Routine cleaning turned out filling was needed,what I like about this appointment was every procedure I needed was completed at this time. The filling turned into a cap needed for tooth which was also taken care of. Thumps Up to Dr. Nathan and all the Ladies at Chesney Dentistry.

Great family dentistry. We've been using this practice for five years; mostly for my kids. However, I recently went in for an x-ray and got an immediate cleaning appointment. Small enough to be more connected with their clients but offers much more.

Going to the Dentist always makes me apprehensive even after all these years. Everyone at Chesney Dentistry North was super kind and made my visit a pleasant one. I will not be dreading my return appointment. The office it nice! It's cheerful, bright, clean and has a happy feeling. The only negative side is the office is kept way to cold. When I get cold, my body hurts.

Shiela (hygienist) seemed to do an excellent job cleaning. Dr Nathan seemed friendly and caring. Just wish they had given me a plan B. $1400 to get a tooth fixed is totally out of the question. I'm still paying medical bills from 2012 for cancer surgery and probably will be for next 20 years.if I live that long. I'll probably lose that tooth which will mess up the fitting of my partial. But that's not your problem.
