Took 45 minutes from scheduled time to actually seen. Felt ok since I felt he would spend time after explaining care and hole in my cheek/jaw. All he said was “I will take an X-ray next visit “. No review of care needed or prognosis. Since it was close to 5:00 I felt he was more concerned with getting home than discussing my treatment/care.

This is more for internal use... I came in for an evaluation for gum grafts 3-4 months ago. i wasn't sold on your office or another. Doctor explained the process and spent adequate time talking about my teeth. I decided to come here because insurance works here. However, once my appointment was scheduled - and rescheduled due to Covid - for 3 months later, I didn't remember all I needed to do to prepare. No one called me. I had to call and request my pre-medication. I had to call back and ask questions about the 'sleepy' pills and get reclarification. I had to clarify which teeth I wanted fixed. Every patient for surgery should get a call the week before going over any questions and procedures. (When I arrived, I was drugged and out of it so that doesn't work.) Again, after the procedure, I never got a follow-up call with "how are you feeling? Any questions?" I am wondering if the stitches dissolve or ?? Unless I call, I'll never know. Customer service is lacking immensely. Please add a pre-surgery call and post-surgery call to your protocal and it will go a long way for what is considered a very scary procedure in the first place for most humans.

Thrilled to find a dentist who is a straight shooter. I've been fighting a bad implant by another dentist who had no clue what he was doing. Dr. Gomez is fabulous and by next fall will have an implant which finally functions as a tooth. Dr. Gomez and his staff are worth the two hour drive for his services. My last appointment with Dr. Gomes and his assistant Kat was the best appointment I've ever had. It was a long time since my last visit and I was prepared to be tortured. At the end of a deep cleaning my mouth was not in pain from the excessive gum stabbing that I relate to cleaning appointments. Instead I was in awe of the control Kat displayed with the various tools she used. Her commitment to her craft truly shows. And lets not forget that Dr. Gomes is very engaging, he's good at explaining what's going on and he has done so much excellent work in my mouth. I highly recommend Central Indiana Periodontics

Although I was impressed with the provider and staff at the time of the appointment, I am unhappy that there was no report sent to the referral dentist 3 weeks after my appt. While at my f/u appt I called to have the report faxed or emailed to her while I was there so she could advise me how to proceed. I was told “ the doctor is on vacation and is behind in his paperwork. He does not do electronic charting” This is irresponsible in my opinion. I was unable to consult my dentist as to her opinion as to how to proceed. I have decided not to do anything in till October when my next cleaning and annual exam is scheduled. The symptoms have abated. I am compliant with the oral hygiene plan suggested. I will probably ask for a different periodontist if my dentist thinks I need one on the future for no other reason than the lack of communication with my dentist after my consult. Not timely.

Dr. Gomes did an amazing job on my oral surgery for a bone graft. I was concerned about pain as I had had a bad experience with another provider. The procedure went smoothly and with only very minor discomfort -- it was nearly painless and the post op self-care was easy. Don't put off oral surgery because you dread the pain, see Dr. Gomes.

Dr. Gomes and the staff at CIP were excellent! This was my first dental procedure, other than routine cleanings, and I really did not know what to expect and obviously worried about the procedure in general. Dr. Gomes answered all of my questions and his team were gracious to me when I had follow-up questions or concerns; even to the extent of carving out time to see me first thing or last thing in the day to put my mind at ease. CIP treated me wonderfully and while I hope never to have a procedure again, my first choice is Dr. Gomes and the team at Central Indiana Periodontics.

The procedure that I went for hasn't been done yet. I've only been to the office one time to see what has to be done. The experience I had was a positive one. Everyone seemed professional, and Dr. Gomes and his assistant explained to me what has to be done. I understand the future surgery and what to expect during and after.

Overall good but pain management could be better. This kind of surgery and basically nothing for pain for the first few days after has been bad. A lot of pain and no reason a patient should have to suffer like this when remedies are available.

I was pleased with the phone assistance when I called to set up the first appointment. I then inquired as to whether or not they are a participating provider with the Insurance Carrier I have; and they are. Upon my arrival I learned they wanted bite wings and a most recent panoramic film...they called the providers during the appointment and received those. They asked for a referral and I did not have one, they continued the appointment none-the-less. They were pleasant and thorough during the appointment "and" will bill the Insurance Carrier first and bill me the balance later. This is all great for me. I was a little confused as to why I was not asked for the Films and Referral when I called to make the appointment. Otherwise, top notch!

Misty (?) The DA was very nice. She was helpful in giving me the details I needed to have. Dr Gomez was great. He shook my hand hello and then promptly said he was sorry I was in the car accident (that happened in 1992!!!) That has never happened before w a doctor. His treatment plan was thorough. I have had two failed gum graft surgeries performed by a different oral surgeon and I was absolutely terrified to undergo a third surgery. Dr. Gomes was reassuring and gentle. I didn't experience any pain and had barely any swelling afterwards, which is the opposite of what I had previously experienced. The entire process was as painless as possible. Thank you, Dr. Gomes!

CIP has a really nice office in the Avon area. It would have been great to have had more knowledge ahead of time of everything they could complete and how long every procedure was going to take. Additionally, giving more details to the patient ahead of time would have been helpful. A pre-treatment email would have been great- a map of your office location, your hours, your service specialties, and estimate of the total cost of the procedures to be completed (if possible- most likely this is done in a consultation), contacting insurance ahead of time to get a cost estimate would have been ideal, you could even include the paperwork that needs to be completed so that details can be tied up before coming into the office.

I hope using the new electric toothbrush solves my plaque problem. I'm not sure I understand how bad it is or whether it is reversible using the new technique. At my age, I don't like to think about gum surgery. Hope things look better in October. Tonda is an excellent hygienist.

I am not a big social media review type - but!.. I had to take the time to put in my two cents work on Dr. Gomez / CIP, If you needed Periodontal Services, this is da' place. Everything about this place is first class. It is a beautiful office. Virtually every employee is over the top friendly, I never had to wait more than a few minutes before they got me into the dental chair. What a great place! Dr. Gomez is as personable, professional and knowledgeable of a guy as you would ever want to do business with. This is the first time I have ever had a tooth extraction and it went much better that I thought possible. I have future appointments to have my implant done - and look forward to seeing these guys again.

Dr. Gomes is excellent at what he does and has a great "chairside" manner as well. So far I've had an extraction of a bad molar, sutures removed, and a post for implant (with final implant in 3 months) and everything has gone exactly to plan with minimal discomfort.

Appointment was for evaluation after tooth extraction by Dr. Gomes about 2 months prior to determine if the area was now able to have a post for implant inserted into my jaw. Since everything was Ok the Doctor was able to actually do the operation at the same appointment. This was great because my appointment was last minute from after another patient was unable to come. I had requested that i could come earlier than my actual scheduled appointment. The whole process fit in well with my traveling plans.
