While waiting to receive my new lenses, I went to a discount store to pick up a pair of prescription glasses to wear in the interim. The difference in quality is unbelievable! The lenses are clearer, and the frames are much better fitting and more substantial. Lesson learned!

Staff here was very nice and good customer service and got me in quick for red eye. My previous eye doctor was booked and would not fit me in. This place said they could fit me in even known they were busy too.

His staff is extremely knowledgable too and are very customer-service oriented. Dr. Lafone knowledge in fitting contact lenses will exceed your expectations! I was favorably impressed the moment that I entered the establishment. The reception of the staff was warm,friendly and welcoming. The waiting room was impeccable and well appointed. The technician explained the procedures before performing them and was knowledgeable and efficient. Dr. LaFone was engaging and friendly,explaining the various tests as he performed them. I would enthusiastically recommend his services to anyone with eye issues.

Dr Lafone: great as expected. Even the attention I received in the Optical Dept was better than usual, it was nice to have someone’s honest opinion of my selection of frames, in my opinion choosing the right one is the hardest part. Front desk associates were friendly. The intake process, prior to seeing the Doctor, was through. Dr. LaFone gave me all the time I needed to understand the eye imaging and getting my new lens perfect.

I recently visited the office of Carolina Eye Care for a routine checkup. I recently moved to the area, so this was my first visit to a new eye care office. An eye exam was conducted by an opthalmic assistant who performed a series of tests in preparation for my visit with Dr. Lafone. She was professional and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. When I saw Dr. Lafone ,he offered a careful and complete explanation to all the tests that had been done. I appreciate the time he took to review scans and assess my eye health. Once the prescription was written, I was able to visit the optician, in the same office, and with his help, I was able to order glasses which will be prepared and completed in about 10 days. I'm glad I was referred to Carolina Eye Care, and I would not hesitate to refer friends and family. Thank you.

They were able to squeeze me in without a wait time and everyone was incredibly friendly and professional — from the front desk staff to the woman who did my eye exam to the doctor. Dr. Lafone and his staff are truly wonderful. I've never had such attentive care at an optometrist's office. Dr. Lafone took the time to get to know me as well as my concerns about my eye health. During my exam, he patiently explained what he was doing, what he was seeing, and answered all of my questions. I felt much better after my visit. I would highly recommend Dr. Lafone to anyway who is not satisfied with their current doctor.

Carolina Eye Care hands down is the best play to go to for all you eye care needs. I've had issues in the past with my eyes and they have always been pleasant and very accommodating to my needs. Dr. Lafone spends quality time with each patient and actually listens and explains all concerns you may have. Just yesterday I had something going on in my eye with floaters so I called and literally got in without waiting which helped ease my anxiety and stress. As long as I live in the area i'll never go to another eye care practice - Carolina Eye Care is the best.

The office is clean and professional and the staff were all very pleasant and friendly. The exam was a little pricey. I wasn't expecting it to be so much more than the initial cost to other doctor's offices, so I was surprised by that. Then, I felt like after the exam, it was more of a retail store, by having my RX given to, really, a salesperson selling high-end expensive frames. It stopped feeling like a doctors office at that point, and I was not prepared or forewarned that it was going to cost me upwards of $500 out of pocket to have an eye exam and updated RX.

I am a new patient who recently relocated to the Lake Norman area. You were able to schedule me for a first visit routine eye examination two days after I called for an appointment. Office and technical staff were professional, responsive and friendly. They were able to persevere in installing new nose bridge pads on my old set of frames and did so at no charge. Dr. LaFone was personable, professional, efficient and straightforward in his examination and explanation of results. Excellent overall experience; I intend to return for future vision care needs.

A personable and personalized experience! At Carolina Eye Care scheduling is a breeze, all personnel are kind and cheerful, Dr. Lafone is funny, and check-ups are quick and painless. I just moved and will continue to come to this office, even if it is a drive away because it's worth it. Any time I have ever run out of contacts a week before my visit Dr. Lafone's personnel have always accommodated me with trial lenses. When I first came to Cornelius, the lenses I was using were no longer comfortable and did not suit my lifestyle anymore - I needed something that was breathable, a daily, and wore well for extended hours. Dr. Lafone worked with me through two lens trials to ensure I had the best fit for me. Dr. Lafone is also very funny and personable, and he makes every office visit a good one - don't worry about stopping in for what can be an awkward experience; that won't happen here. I have never waited in the front more than 5 minutes for an appointment, and I have never been left waiting in a room to see the doctor after preliminary exams more than 5 minutes either. He has the most state-of-the-art equipment that really make a difference in checking on eye health. All staff are well-trained and knowledgeable about how it all works; it truly is fast and painless. If you're debating about which local optometrist to see, you won't find one better. It takes a team of people to make an office great, and Dr. Lafone has picked a great one! You'll love it!

Dr. Lafone cares and spend time to take of my eyes. Last year he remade my glasses several times to make sure I was comfortable. I'm a picky eye glass wearer, and he still smiles each time I come in! Monica fits my glasses with patience and excellence. Trish cares and explains tests and charges thoroughly. Dr. Lafone also takes care of my sons. (Teens) They are both happy with their care. My oldest got a metal shaving in his eye and Dr. Lafone was immediately available for him. Apparently the NASCAR institute guys call on him when they get metal in their eyes. I have been a patient of Carolina Eye Care for over 20 years and continue to retain them even though I have moved further from their offices. The staff is always understanding and helpful. They have the most modern equipment which really does help address any problems anyone may have with their vision.

Oh wow, my experience with this location was absolutely refreshing. Why? Because I have battled vision impairment majority of my life and all past eye care associates cared less about giving me proper care for my condition. It was all about sales with past experiences elsewhere. With Carolina Eye Care, I was impressed with their up to date technology to detect problems once looked over. My eye doctor took time with me and listened patiently to my concerns about my past disappointments. He also referred me to get a second opinion about my vision issues. Simply showing me he cared about my well being assured me I had finally found the right place. I did have a hard time choosing frames for my desired look, but I am hoping all goes well with my new frames soon.
