I think it sucks! People on fixed income have fixed budgets. Are you posting the costs for each treatment so we can budget for it? Why can’t you send me a bill like other providers do? You’re cutting down on what should be standard practice for your line of service. No it comes off as rude and money hungry. Good for you but not for the patient. Sometimes people need more time to pay for a service or even extend it over a couple of months.

Staff & provider were great. Had a 10+ minute wait to use the kiosk to checkin which was kind of a pain (but I get using it to free up the front desk staff but additional kiosk would cut down on the wait). Don’t love the credit card on file policy at all, I could see if it was done for procedures etc but for routine office visits it’s off putting

My experiences at all my appts with Bryn Mawr Dematology has been very positive. At my last appt, Dr.Stanko began by asking me if I had any concerns and then answered all my questions. I never felt as if she was rushed or that she overlooked anything. She has always been friendly and pleasant. Also, when I asked about eyebrow microblading she explained that the procedure wasn't done there, but she did find the telephone number of someone whom she recommended.

My virtual visit with Lynn was great. I was a little nervous about my initial visit being virtual, but the call exceeded my expectations. We had a comprehensive discussion regarding my skin issues and aligned on a care plan in a timely fashion. Another plus is their pharmacy services, which allowed me to get my meds the same day as my appointment and it was delivered to my house for free. Very satisfied client.

I came in to express my concern for HSV one or possibly two and get a prescription for a cycle of ear for viral shedding because three family members in the same week after being kissed by me all had unusual sores on their face or upper body. The practitioner did not feel I needed anything and ordered a blood test . I feel as if even if I don’t have active lesions I could be asymptomatic with shedding . I have been under an exuberant amount of stress and it seems as if that is when I notice transfer to my family . This is not the first time. It happened at my moms funeral if you years ago. I don't like the idea of having my credit card number stored on another server that can be compromised. Even the Federal government servers were compromised. You can tell me that it is secured.. with today's technologies and with time a server can be compromised. So I am not in favor of it.

I felt rushed by the dermatologist I saw during my appointment, and there was not much explanation about the decision made for treatment to my ailment. I then had a negative reaction to the treatment. I called about this reaction, left a message with the receptionist, and then I didn’t hear back about the reaction I was having. I had to end up scheduling a general appointment with a physician afterwards to address the reaction. This was my first time there, it was not a good experience and a waste of money.

She was unaware what procedure I was even there for, did not know how to read notes in the system, clearly did not understand basic terms, and then proceeded to set up the equipment incorrectly which had to be corrected by other staff. Shannon Del Grande has filled in twice and has also really helped me with recurring skin issues. Nice staff, facilities, and on-site store for creams, lotions, etc. I have been going to BMD for years and will continue to go.

GREAT experience with Shannon Del Grande. She listens, is nice and has solutions. Not so great experience with Rae Calamia, solutions were not met and I felt rushed. The secretary’s are not very polite however the nurses and assistants to the doctors are all very nice. Secretary’s are uneducated with scheduling correctly and are not informed about any insurance. They know absolutely nothing. One exception was the checkout secretary, she was polite and helpful!! The office is very modern and clean. The computer checkin is convenient. Easy Location to get to with large parking lot.

Well it's a great idea for people who always have a lot of money in their account but for those of us who consistently have lower balances I don't think I would like my account being charged without me knowing when and how much. It could possibly cause overdraft fees for me. I like having the control of when I'm going to pay a bill.

As always my visits with Rae at Bryn Mawr Dermatology are excellent when I first enter the door I am greeted by the receptionists and my appointment is confirmed. I am then offered a drink and provided with a list of them while I wait to be called. The assistant called me within the first five to ten minutes once I arrive in the office. From there I am placed into the exam room where I am greeted by Rae and then it's business as always asking if I had any new problems with my condition. Labs and new meds are prescribed as needed and I'm out the door to make my next appointment. Service is expedited in a speedy and caring manner.

The best doctor's office visit I've ever had. First, I arrived at the requested time of 12:15 and was immediately greeted by a smiling receptionist. Second, after confirming she had all the paperwork I was then asked if I needed anything to drink...water, coffee? I responded coffee would be nice and a couple minutes later I had coffee with cream and sugar. Barely 2 minutes passed and I was called back to one of the examination rooms. Her nurse went through her questions efficiently and politely. She left the room and I expected a five or 10 minute wait which didn't happen...another 2 minutes later Sara came in to do the examination. She looked at the concerns I had on my ear, neck and back then assured me they were nothing to worry about. Within another 15 minutes of seeing the doctor I was out the door and on my way.

That’s fine with me as it makes sense to be paid for the service you performed. There’s no reason you should have to wait for your money if you provided your time and supplies to the patient. When someone goes to dinner and they eat the food They ordered then they should pay for it at that time. Unless you agree to set up a payment plan for someone if the service is a really expensive then they should pay for it in real time.

I have been to several derms about a skin issue I have had. I came to Bryn Mawr Dermatology last August. I walked in and apparently I didn’t have an appointment (I scheduled through Zocdoc). They were extremely welcoming and nice. They got me in with very little wait time. Shannon was great and really listened to my concerns. I just came back in April and saw Dr. Santa and felt the same way. She walked me through everything and really listened to what I had to say. Both Shannon and Erin didn’t make me feel rushed at all like I have felt in the past at other offices. On top of the amazing doctors, the front desk staff are so friendly and helpful! By far the best office!!!!

I had an infected hair follicle from hell that was getting worse by the day. I knew this was something that had to be handled by a specialist, and I'm already a patient so I called Bryn Mawr. I know they have appointments backlogged for weeks or months, and they somehow managed to squeeze me in that very day which is rare. Turns out we both made the right call, and dr.ray assess my situation and decided it needed to be treated immediately. Dr. Rae sprung into action immediately, and removed a golf ball-sized infection on my abdomen. 24 hours later I am already feeling much relief and really happy and satisfied with their service. They have an amazing team over there, and I will be a lifetime patient!

Love your practice, we see Lynn the NP and always a joy to see, has helped 2 family members and have referred the group to our friends. I will complain about 1 thing, previously worked for surgeons so I know the deal, the $50 cancellation policy is great for those idiots who abuse the scheduling but I called yesterday to cancel my 12 year old's follow up appointment and got the $50 reminder speech, I understand but if you really want me to not consider your doctors and staff then that is just crazy. I personally would not do that but to think I will be charged for taking the health of your group into consideration then I guess I can move my husband and daughter to a closer dermatology office as we do come some way due to the awesome docs.

And to make things better, the office offers complimentary Pelligrino and Perrier water in the waiting room! Bonus! Also I was impressed with their range of services. I was already seeing a dermatologist and was going to go back for a follow up visit, but had an urgent medical issue that I needed to see a dermatologist for immediately. I called Bryn Mawr Dermatology and was a new patient asking to be seen the same day. It was a long shot, but the receptionist offered to schedule me in for the same afternoon, amazingly! I was very impressed when I entered the office. It was beautifully decorated and lit very nicely. Usually, I don’t pay attention to details like this when I’m going to a doctor’s office, but the attention to detail for the furniture and lighting make it seem like you’re going to a spa rather than a doctor’s office. I was very much at ease despite panicking over my worsening skin issue. The complimentary beverages (ranging from sodas to sparking waters and Pellegrino) were a bonus as well. I waited for approximately 15 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise as I was also a new patient. Physician’s Assistant Lynn and her assistant Kara were amazing to me. Lynn was really warm and welcoming and seemed to genuinely care about me and was able to calm me down with assuring me that she was going to find out what was going on with my skin. She prescribed me a couple of medications that have been the only thing working for me, unlike what I had been prescribed previously. I have a follow up appointment with her in a couple of weeks, but wanted to provide this review as this is the best experience I’ve had for a dermatologist’s office visit and wanted to share it with potential patients. I am very grateful that this office accepts my insurance because I’m certainly going to come back for cosmetic reasons as well as medical. This may be my dermatologist’s go-to from now on!

Happy to learn my Insurance is accepted I scheduled an appointment without waiting months in advance as several Associates are available. From the moment I stepped through their door I sensed the importance of each client. The waiting area is immaculate with impeccable decor. A Receptionist was professional, courteous and adorable. After a few minutes I was brought to a private room and my personal needs were interviewed by another very pleasant professional. Soon my Dermatologist arrived, Dr. Rae Calamia, and all apprehensions disappeared regarding switching Doctors. Dr. Calamia displayed medical proficiency and a gift of graciousness with people. After expressing my perspective, and given a thorough full body evaluation she assigned specific products required for my best future skin care. Prior to going to Bryn Mawr Dermatology I hated going to the Dermatologist. More than going to the Dentist! I tried four different doctors/practices and the last doctor I saw told me I did not need to be screened for 5 years. Less than a year later I had an early stage melanoma removed by a different office! Then I discovered Bryn Mawr Dermatology and things changed (thank goodness), including my search for a professional dermatology HCP. Regardless of which doctor I see at Bryn Mawr, I always have a very pleasant experience and I am treated in a professional and kind manner. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well. Regardless of the service I request the doctors are always very accommodating without giving me attitude. If you are looking for a new dermatology office be sure to try Bryn Mawr!

After great experience on my first visit, I referred my wife and daughter to see Doctor Santa. Unfortunately they had a miserable experience. I was so disappointed to hear the way staff handled a scheduling conflict due to a snow storm. The staff demanded a $50 rescheduling fee when my wife asked to reschedule my daughter's very first consultation appointment on the morning all schools implemented a delay due to icy weather. Not only was this issue insulting, I believe it was a poor business decision on behalf of the practice as they lost two potentially great clients over a ridiculous scheduling policy. There are exceptions to every policy, asking to reschedule due to unexpected icy weather and having to get your kids to school should be one of them.

While I find that most health care providers are adequate at the medical portion of the job, I also find that they are generally horrible at time management. And let's not talk about the nightmare that some call the "front office". That's why it is refreshing to find a well oiled and running machine. Excellent medical care with superior time management and communication skills, a front office that is fun, friendly and competent. Easy access either by phone or online. I'm sure it's harder than it looks but the staff at BMD makes it look easy.

It is only because the medication, salves & ointments prescribed really do the trick for my children that I continue to go to this cabinet. the administration is seriously lacking in efficiency; my 2 children need about the same things but if prior authorization, transmission of the prescriptions to the pharmacy & such are reasonably well executed for the 1st child it seems like the office loses interest & completely botches the second child's needs...it is really tiresome to have to repeatedly call & get assurances that it has been taken care of only to notice it has not... the rating appears to be blocked at 5 full stars but I would set it a 3

The provider was friendly and competent, but the office staff seems overwhelmed. The assistant that takes the medical history also seemed a little "green" and could probably use some additional training/shadowing experience. I did appreciate the amount of time the provider spent with me addressing both my medical and cosmetic concerns. I will definitely go back, but I can't say yet whether I would recommend them to anyone.

Once I saw he PA Rae she was friendly warm and appeared knowledgable. She answered all my questions. The quality of care was very good though I rated it good as I would like to see the results of the treatment protocol and follow up.

When first called got amazing service and information. Very friendly,knowledgeable and great customer care. However, original appt was cancelled by practice and rescheduled. When called to confirm the second appt. was told that they left a voice mail to reschedule. That actually referred to the first visit but the note was never deleted. Caused major confusion as to whether the second appt was also rescheduled. On the day of the visit, difficult to get into building as the front door was locked. Receptionist was quiet and had friends visiting. Didn't feel that patient care was a priority. Bathrooms were also not functioning. Nurse was excellent and attentive as was the doctor.

I understand it is always hard to predict how long an appointment will take but I was getting a routine procedure where I did not need consulting as I get it every 4 months and waited almost an hour. Nobody came to tell me how much longer it would be, I would have at least liked to be acknowledged.

The doctor was only in the room for 10 mins,i was talking to her about an issue and she said oh thats from genes, do your mother or father have it I said no, and never explained what it was. So she anything else, I asked about removing a mole also,she said oh thats wasnt written down, but I told the MA when she was in the room and said,I'm not going to write that down you only have a 15min window and I was a new patient. So, she did remove the mole from around my eye in 3 mins or less and walked out. Didn't explain anything to me about soreness or it any concerns around my eye or anything. Or to see if there was any other concerns and I had a few. My other problem was when I was paying my copay, the guy at the front desk says we prefer plastic. I like to pay cash for most things and only use plastic n an emergency.

I met with Dr. Stanko for a 20-minute consultation regarding laser for acne scarring. I paid $150 out of pocket for the visit which was high for me, but to be expected. I was greeted politely by the receptionist and did not have to wait long. I also met with Olivia who is the aesthetician. I was very emotional during the visit and she was upbeat and reassuring. I did have to wait quite a while for the doctor to come in. However, once she did come in, I am pretty sure that she spent over 20 minutes with me. I had a list of about 20 questions typed up that I wanted to answer. Dr. Stanko listened carefully to all of the questions and I could tell that she was thinking thoroughly about the answers. She did answer all of my questions. I only wished she would have looked more closely at my skin and also my hair (I have thinning hair as well). Overall, the visit met with my expectations. Dr. Stanko only has ablative co2 lasers, so I need to decide if I want to do that one or the non-ablative Fraxel Dual. If I go with the co2 laser, I will definitely go with Dr. Stanko. She performs the laser surgery herself. Thanks!

I came for a second opinion and felt pretty rushed and as if the doctor was ready to leave the room before we were even finished. I asked her about a scabbed spot on my head that concerned me and she said it was too hard to see because of scabbing and matting but didn't offer to clean it or look further at the time. Since I was seeing my regular doctor a few days later I didn't push it; he looked at it and after a biopsy found it was basal cell carcinoma.

When I arrived for my appointment I was told I did not have a referral. The person at the front desk was not very nice about it and made me feel like I had done something wrong. I called my doctor twice to make sure that the referral was in and it was. When I called your office originally a gentlemen at the front desk (was very nice) gave me a 175 number which is the number my doc put the referral under. Then when I arrived for my appt the girl at the front desk gave me a different number. She said I could not be seen. It didn't even seem like she looked for it and basically just acted like either I or my doctors office has messed up. I explained that I had called and confirmed it was in but she was just said they never put it in. I found out later that they did put it in but I was given the wrong number. I feel like she could have found it if she looked under the other number. it was very frustrating bc I rearranged weekend plans to come into this appt and was turned away
