I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment to pick up my new sunglasses. I was taken immediately and fitted accordingly with a cheerful smile. They even tightened my daily glasses which I had previously purchased from them. Great new site.

Excellent care, even with a last minute appointment. I scratched my eye the week before my wedding and Broadview Eye Center took care of me immediately including running through a list of "just in case" items to have on hand if my eye doesn't clear up. After only 2 days of the prescription drops they gave me, I'm almost good as new. The doctor was so kind, and completely understood my urgency in needing to get this taken care of. 5 stars all around, highly recommend!

Broadview Eye Center is the BEST! ALL the staff is amazing. I've been seeing Dr. Kosunick for years and she has always taken good care of me. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my eyes! Laurie is also a rockstar and helped me pick out the most amazing glasses and prescription sunglasses. She knows what looks good and flatters face shape. I love Dr Scott! She’s absolutely wonderful, caring, personable, real. Debbie is friendly, fun, personable too. The people in the front part of the office, eeh not so much. I had such a great beginning experience with the staff. The doctor was great and everyone was so friendly. My issues came when I went to checkout. I was informed that my total was going to be $39 over my copay. I asked why it was so much and they said it was for the one eye machine that was not included with insurance. They did not inform me of this before or during the test, I was told when going to pay. The girl who did my testing told me this is the machine we use here and not that it was extra. I wouldn’t mind doing that and paying the extra but I think they need to be more transparent and not just expect you to do it without telling you it is extra. Very disappointed at not being transparent with patents on costs. Loved Dr. Scott and her student doctor Jenna!

We had an excellent experience with Broad View Eye Center. My wife and I had back to back appointments with Dr. Alquist and since we didn't have child coverage that day, brought our 10 month old with us. While he is cute, I didn't even sense any apprehension or concern from the staff. They were very supportive and offered to let each of us know when the other was done with certain parts of the pre-exam and exam so we could swap back and forth watching our little one. As first time parents that recently moved to a new area, that accommodation meant so much. Dr. Alquist was outstanding and answered all my questions thoroughly. She was professional, and at the same time very approachable and kind in a way that put me at ease and felt confident in her clinical guidance. She also made sure to address my specific questions I had filled out on my pre-appointment paperwork. The office was clean and felt laid out in a way that again was professional but approachable. I would definitely recommend this practice to patients looking for an Optometrist and will be looking to schedule our little one soon for his first exam.

I’m not happy with a new $25 fee I had to pay because I didn’t also buy frames. I just purchased the frames from you office 8 months ago and the prescription changed. So, I didn’t need new frames. It sounded like this $25 fee is for someone bringing in frames purchased from elsewhere. Regardless, it seems like I just handed you free money for nothing. I may not return just because of this.

I am so grateful the updated technology that allows the doctors here to watch for signs of macular degeneration and glaucoma that I have a strong family history of. Everything is so non-invasive and I love that I don't have to have my eyes dilated. The staff is always super friendly and helpful.

This was only my second time at an eye doctor and my first time at Broad View Eye Center and I would absolutely go back! The waiting area is beautiful, the initial examiner was pleasant and talked me through everything she did, and then Dr. Ashley was warm and welcoming and made me feel like she’d known me forever. We chatted before and during the exam and she answered my many questions. At no point did I feel like I was just another patient or did I feel rushed. Not only will I be back, but I will take my kids as they begin to need regular eye exams. I highly recommend the Broadview location of the Broad View Eye Center.

When I booked the appointment, I downloaded a front and back copy of my vision coverage. When I went to book another appointment for a follow-up as I was leaving, the receptionist told me the eye coverage I had was not accepted at the Broadview location. I feel that should have been addressed prior to my appointment. I hope that my appointment will be covered by my medical insurance. The staff and Dr Wiermsa were all very friendly, but I feel someone overlooked my insurance. I don't carry insurance to pay out of pocket for appointments.

The eye doctors are super great. However, after the eye exam I just wanted my PD and my prescription so I can order glasses elsewhere (I don't have vision insurance and I'm not spending $200 on one pair when I can order 4 pairs elsewhere for the same price). They seem ticked off when I asked if they can measure my PD and I absolutely have always hated buying glasses from them because they pressure you. I will never order glasses here. It's bad enough I had to spend $200 out of pocket for an eye exam, "optional" picture of eye instead of dilation and $25 for them to tell me my PD. I think that's crazy! When I went to Visionworks it was $70 for an eye exam and they don't charge for extra things. Not sure if it's worth it or not, or any different than going elsewhere. I saw someone else in 2015 here and the told me I had early signs of glaucoma (at age 33)......this time they said nothing. Also, I know they are moving but the current office has never had an actual waiting room for the eye doctor and there are never enough seats. Overall, if you have great vision insurance than by all means it probably great for you. If not, then the only thing keeping me coming back is the awesome eye doctors and staff doing the pre-screening before exam.

Had a problem with red and irritable eyes for several weeks. Dr. Scott examined my eyes efficiently and knowledgeably, prescribed me prednisone drops for the virus and swelling in my eyes, and the drops are presently helping.

The diagnostic tools and discussion with the DO were great. Disappointed that after being told the Sillouette frames were in stock and I could pick out new frames at the time the appointment was scheduled only to find that once arriving they were not in fact in stock requiring me to come back for a second visit. A simple check before giving false information would have saved me time and an extra trip. It’s a big miss and not happy as getting away during the day for such visits requires careful planning.

My rating for the optician is TEN PLUS PLUS but the technician was grossly and clearly incompetent, horrible, ineffective and incredibly slow and careless to me the CUSTOMER in forever filling mine and the optician’s grossly simple request for glasses. She was clearly grossly incompetent and even profoundly unapologetic for being grossly slow (for no apparent reason whatsoever) when all I wanted ate plain prescription eye and sunglasses. She constantly had to ask others her supervisor how to do her job and was totally indifferent to my objective which was to get her concocted and extremely circus of nonsense terminated. I was constantly and for extraordinary periods left there by myself just siting and forever waiting for NO OBVIOUS reason to me except she presently is totally incompetent in that job for ALL YOUR PATIENTS except those who have extra time to waste or make buying glasses into a major league sport of incredible and extraordinary nonsense. HER FOCUS WAS NOT AT ALL WHATSOEVER ON THE PATIENT NEEDS, WHEN THE CLIENT KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT HE DESIRES AND HAS NO SPEVIAL IR EXTRAORDINARY REQUESTS AND DORD NOT CARR WHAT THE COST IS THIS APPOINTMENT WITH THIS POORLY OR INCOMPETENTLY TRAINED EMPLOYEE SHOULD NEVER HAPPENED BY MANAGEMENT THERE

Phenomenal experience today. I can't tell you how overjoyed I am in the care, and experience that was rendered today. I had previous went to another vision company where the services rendered were unprofessional rude, and obnoxious. Everyone at Broadview Eye Center including Melissa, Debbie, Johnny, and Dr. Ashley were just awesome. I didn't get hardly anything with my last pair of eye glasses, but this time Johnny made it happen. I was pleased with the presentation, and professionalism Johnny exerted. Johnny is just awesome. the guy selling frames needs to be a little less insulting. this is not New York City designer district where catty, sarcastic, cutting, and insulting comments are the norm. He totally turned me off. His insult to upsell technique! Ew! Assistants rushing patients through the process in a breathless pace and trying to pressure us into paying for services not covered by insurance instead of providing services is also a turn off. I'm sure you charge the full rate for an exam even though you won't dialiate 'due to covid'. This is something you should tell patients BEFORE they come it. There are such things as masks and rubber gloves and I am fully vaccinated so it's a non-issue. I used to love this place a few years ago but it is clear that someone has changed this from a patient service oriented eye care facility into a pure profit churning machine. yuk! It's a very pretty office and people are doing their best under tremendous pressure to churn people through. I feel sorry for them to have to work here.

I have worn glasses for nearly my entire life - for over 40 years - and contacts since I was a teen. This was hands down my best experience at an optometrist, and in the middle of a pandemic! I truly appreciated the safety and cleaning protocols they had in place, and the facilities were beautiful. But I was most impressed with the care I received. I learned more about my eyes and eye health during my one appointment with Broad View Eye Center than I have cumulatively at others over my life. They made the most out of my vision insurance and thoughtfully considered and responded to all my questions and concerns. I can't wait to go back and pick up my glasses!

My experience was awesome! I was nervous at first, which sounds silly for a 36 year old adult with a masters degree + another in progress, but other than 1 visit to a mall eye doctor (bc insurance) & 1 visit to an eye doctor in Oregon when I forgot my glasses in Ohio, I’ve seen my former eye doctor my entire life. However, this experience was great & I don’t know why I was nervous. Dr. Wiersma was very kind, patient, & happy to answer questions. I had some unusual questions that he seemed pleased to answer. He also discovered that my eyes have been over corrected for who knows how long! Lori helped me select 3 pairs of gorgeous new frames that I’m so excited about! She is the best! After my appointment, I posted a picture of the storefront on Snapchat to say how much I liked my experience. My cousin texted to tell me she goes here & sees Dr. Weirsma! The rest of my family will join as they’re due for appointments. I also love the lime green accents inside b/c it’s my fave color. :)
