First time patient. Visit exceeded expectations. Everyone was very friendly and process was efficient. Visit exceeded expectations with the introduction to the machine that photographs the back of the eye eliminating the need for drops and dilation. (it cost a little extra, but was well worth it as it also presents the opportunity fro you to see what the Dr sees.

I appreciated how patient and supportive the entire Bristol Family Eyecare team was with my mom who had a massive stroke this year and had difficulties following instructions and communicating. Dr. Lea was able to adapt the exam to evaluate her vision but also keep my mom from feeling frustrated.

Kid and Mom approved. We love our yearly eye exams here from the friendly staff that helps at check-in, provides snacks and is always helpful to make sure we find the best pair of glasses. We also love our eye doctor, she is very thorough yet does it in a way that doesn't frustrate and gets you to your perfect prescription. If you want a friendly and knowledge team of eye care professionals, then you have to come to Bristol.

We recently moved to Austin and my first visit to Bristol Family Eyecare was great. New technology eliminating the need for dilation was great. Ordered a new pair of sunglasses on the way out after having a great experience working with their staff on finding the right pair. The selection of options is really good with lots of top quality brands.

I would highly recommend Bristol Family Eyecare. They are very friendly, professional and thorough. I loved that they took my blood pressure and performed an insulin check prior to the eye exam. The only bad thing at least for me was they are very expensive. The eye exam was 200 dollars and another 619 dollars for just the lenses i was keeping my old frames. So be prepared to spend lots of money for a beautiful office and exceptional service.

Best experience! Everyone on staff was great. There was no wait time and the office is beautiful. The eye exam was very thorough and the dr helped me solve eye problems I've had for years (after previously being told it was just a matter of getting older!). There is a huge range of glasses and sunglasses and they have a person on staff to assist you in picking the perfect pair of glasses and let's you know what your insurance will cover. I rarely review medical experiences but in this case I was very impressed and highly recommend this practice!

I had a great experience at Bristol Family Eyecare! The staff is very friendly and informative. As a pharmacist, I love how they take into account blood glucose and blood pressure when assessing your vision. They are very throrough. I had a wonderful experience at Bristol Family Eyecare. However, 24 hours after my appointment I developed what looks to be a small stye on my left eye. I have never had this issue before.

No, it's not because of the length of time that she is using her device, which is what many parents think that it is caused by. We did. Dr. Bristol and his Staff helped us understand why, for her specific condition, and now it is all very clear. Thank you for helping our family understand the truth of what is going on. I love Dr. Bristol and the whole practice. He always listens to any complaints I have regarding my eyesight. My only suggestion is to try to cut out as much wait time as possible - I found myself sitting and waiting for the next step in the eye exam process many times throughout this visit. All together, this was one of the longest eye exam experiences I've ever had.

We loved our first eye appointment, I have two kiddos and they arranged the appointments so they were back to back, everyone from the front desk to the technicians to the doctor were wonderful. The kids loved their appointment...yes LOVED, their appointment. We came straight from school and we were offered snacks and water and because it was our first eye appointment we got t-shirts, sunglasses and balloons. Everyone was so lovely and definitely look forward to going back.

Sorry to say this but I believe constructive criticism goes a long way. Considering the appointment reminder blasts x3 I received regarding me being present, on time and aware of cancellation rules I waited 23 minutes for md to appear. I heard her on a personal phone call in the room next door taking care of her home issues. Md didn’t introduce herself, didn’t use my name and had zero interest in me and made me wonder why Dr Bristol brought her into his practice. Also, up selling was obnoxious....who buys prescription cheaters? Most people purchase several pair of inexpensive cheaters from Heb because they are easy to keep in several places and disappear quickly because that’s the nature of eye glasses! I’d need my head examined if i bought cheater frames for 2-400 dollars! On a good note Kristine the optician tech was efficient and on time and friendly in her process of running exams. If we are to continue to use Bristol for our eye care we will insist on Md Dan only otherwise we will go elsewhere. In addition, my spouse wasn’t impressed with md either. Felt she was just meh.

I cannot recommend the new Associate Optometrist, Dr. Lea at this clinic. She seemed rushed, had difficulty reporting the results of my exam clearly and seemed a bit annoyed when she asked a question. I came to this office based on a couple of recommendations but they had all seen Dr. Bristol, who I hear is excellent. Sadly, I cannot say the same about Dr. Lea.

After a few short minutes, I was called back to start all of my testing. Carly did an amazing job explaining everything that was happening. Her personality, along with her professionalism, makes her a true gem. After the tests were complete, Dr. Bristol came in to discuss the results and complete the eye exam. Follow-up and service is fantastic. After wearing my new glasses and prescription, I noticed just a bit of difficulty reading the fine print of the scrolling football scores at the at the bottom of the screen at night. Truly, that was they only thing that was bugging me a bit, and so I went back to Bristol Family Eyecare to see if an adjustment to the lens in frame was needed. They not only provided an adjustment, they provided another eye exam to see if they could get it any better with that issue without effecting any other ranges that were correct. With all that, they provided a full replacement of my progressive lens. Now that's service!

I'm speechless. I've been wearing corrective lenses for 25 years but have never had an optometrist who was so skilled and knowledgable. He's the only OD who has ever bothered to develop a treatment and monitoring plan for my dry eye. I wasn't even going to bother mentioning anything about it because my previous doctors just update my lens prescription and send me out the door. The other staff is great as well. They really take care of you. It was a great experience.

Occasionally I've asked for additional information on a given topic, and Dr. Bristol has taken the time to personally follow-up to ensure I've got what I need. And, for those it applies to, they have a nice selection of glasses as well. First class establishment and I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend them.

Dr. Bristol and staff are great! My only issue is that you have to pay before seeing an itemized statement. At my son's appointment we were charged incorrectly on several items. I went back and they were happy to make the correction and give me a credit, but it could have been prevented if I had been able to review the details before providing payment. Also on the bills it is not easy to tell how the insurance coverage is applied. On my visit they said they will give me an itemized bill when I pick up the glasses? I thought that was odd.

The facilities and technologies used in the diagnosis process set the bar. Kesha is a fantastic addition to the team - so knowledgeable and personality plus! Stephanie was incredibly helpful (and patient) in helping me select a new pair of glasses and then worked several scenarios to ensure I was maximizing my insurance benefits to get to the best cost savings options for purchasing glasses and contacts. My experience at Bristol Family Eyecare was not very good. First off, no one remembered why I had scheduled my appointment but EVERYONE made an effort to extract as much money from me as possible. I was at Bristol to have my eyeglass prescription renewed so that I could have prescription lenses put in the sunglasses I had y'all order for me. The receptionist greeted me by telling me I need to fill out some "paperwork." She gave me a piece of paper that asked if I wanted tests run that were not covered by my insurance, and another that asked for information regarding a contact order. Both things I was uninterested in because I was here for a specific reason. Second, Bristol provided me with a "contact fitting," which I did not ask for or need, that amounted to him taking literally 3 minutes of his time to make sure, I guess, that the contacts still fit me. He then bumped up the prescription in one eye by a quarter of a point. This costs $60 dollars. I hate to be blunt but this is the type of ridiculousness that results in atrociously high healthcare costs in our country. I'm just curious how much Dr. Bristol is getting paid by my insurance company beyond the $60 co-pay. In short, I don't appreciate no one in the office paying attention to why I am there but having everyone in the office find ways to encourage me to spend more money.

It's now been 12 and I still don't have the glasses. They were ordered from another company, so I understand that you are held hostage to their response time - but you might consider changing your response estimates.

It was with great disappointment that my perscription was incorrect which caused delay in receiving my glasses in an appropriate time frame.I have been wearing glasses for fifty years and I know things can go wrong, however, I would have expected the experience of a doctor in this field to understand stimatism of my nature. It could be as long as six weeks for correction to be made and still not know if my vision is still distorted.

It has been more than 12 years since I've had a contact fitting and had no idea that it was such a huge cost. I am regretting it. I would like to better understand why it cost $150 for a "trial pair and fitting." Would like to discuss this in one week in my follow up appointment. If this is like "riding a bike" I don't believe I should be charged for trying out the new bike before choosing whether or not to buy the bike and wear contact lenses.
