I typically love coming to get my teeth cleaned, but this time my hygienist was really too harsh with cleaning. She also "zing-ed" under my crown/gumline with the pick-- it was incredibly painful; they brushed more of my gums with the polisher than my teeth (esp my lower front teeth backside)--I was flinching multiple times which should have been a clue to be gentler-- used the pick well under my gum line (apparently finding another spot of recession that I hadn't had issues with previously-- more pain), poking my gums, and talked to me like a kid who doesn't brush or take care of my teeth (I am over 30 lol and have only had one small cavity and relatively little problems). I am not the best at speaking up for myself in the moment but left pretty upset about the whole experience, and my teeth and gums are still sore the next day (not typical for me). I had the same feeling only one other time at your office and I wonder if it was the same person; I've been coming to you for over 10 years now and normally have a great experience. Its crazy to me to have this experience as I don't have many tooth problems, and would prefer slightly plaque-y teeth than going through this again-- and can't believe that someone else with more problems would find this tolerable or come back again. The rest of the experience with the office and staff was great, and the hygienist was really nice so I hate to complain but I did not enjoy this visit at all.

As soon as you enter the door, you are greeted by a very friendly and efficient staff. Aimee, my hygienist, made sure I was comfortable and well informed about my cleaning. Dr. Burns gave me a thorough exam and asked if I had any concerns. Going to the dentist is never something you look forward to, but I would highly recommend them. You'll be in good hands..

Everyone has always been kind and welcoming. I have needed quite a bit of dental work over the past year and I have never had an issue getting an appointment. The work is done well and with no pain. The staff have also been great working with my younger kids who have had their first (and second) dental appointments there.

I appreciate the availability of Dr Beiderwolf to immediately take care of an issue with my teeth found during a routine cleaning. Being a caregiver and driver for my blind husband, driving in the winter causes anxiety. Therefore, one trip to the dentist saved me from stressing out about possible winter conditions. I would also like to add that my procedure was painless. His assistant advised me that he was great at numbing. I was very comfortable. Thank you again Dr B and your Dental Assistant. Jody Wilson

I have had many issues. Mostly stemming from Renee who is no longer there. I am glad I always called ahead to verify my appointment times because more than once that either the times were wrong the reason for the appointment was wrong or both. I had to argue my point on more that one occasion when I knew I was right and it did go my way. I always loved the ladies that cleaned and gave me x-rays. They were always kind and so easy to talk with. The absolute highest point of my appointment. I am not the happiest I could be with my current dentist. The pain in my tooth has subsided now, but before I had the root canal done the pain was so excruciating it made me nauseated. Pain killers were not an option per the Dentist. It would have been helpful for one day. Not everyone is an addict. Dr Skarr is amazing. I was sad to hear he is retiring, but happy for he and his family. They are so young. That is wonderful for them and I wish them the very best. I have to tell this story. I was in terrible pain as stated earlier. I had left a message for Dr Skarr. They were on vacation. On their way home he stopped by the office to check my xrays. He called me and we came up with a plan of action. This is what kind of person he is. He will be missed. I am grateful to have met such an amazing Dentist and Man. Thank you Dr Skarr.

Experiencing bad tooth ache. Got appointment for the next day I called. Due to taking Advil before, pain wasn’t as bad. Did testing, X-rays that showed no infection or cause of pain. Dr. Eric recommended keep taking Advil first as it might be sinus related. I appreciated that! Plan B if pain persisted…would be possible root canal.

Taken in to appt within a reasonable time of schedule. Everyone in the office is VERY friendly and personable. They are also very professional. Dr. Skarr took care of my issue quickly and in a concerned and timely manner. I was not left to sit in a chair for 30 minutes to an hour. This was the most pleasant and professional experience I've EVER had in a dentist office. If there were a rating above excellent, I would give it to this office.

Doctors and techs are very skilled. Dental work is gentle, pain free, top notch, staff friendly. There’s always laughter in the office which is a good sign. Great piped in music too.. No complaints.

I had not been to a dentist in over 21 years due to a combination of lack of insurance and total fear. I learned to speak showing as little of my teeth as possible and smile with my mouth closed. It made me extremely self-conscious and I decided enough was enough. After asking around and reading countless reviews on social media like Facebook and Nextdoor, I found several reviews of Brett C. Skarr D.D.S. that mentioned they were gentle, patient, and understanding. I decided to give them a try. The ladies at the front desk, the hygienists, and Dr. Brady were AMAZING. My anxiety and fear were off the charts, and everyone was so friendly, understanding, and non-judgmental. I was given a numbing agent for my gums and I did opt for nitrous the first time because I was so scared and anxious. There was some discomfort and a little pain when they needed to under the gums, but no where near what I was expecting. In fact, I kept thinking - this is it? This is what I had panic attacks over? This is what I kept putting off? They had to split my cleaning up into two visits because there was a lot to deal with after 21 years, and the second visit I didn't use the nitrous! That is a huge deal! These two visits changed my life - seriously. I am smiling more, my confidence has increased, I am HAPPIER overall. Everyone that I have encountered here is friendly, understanding, non-judgmental, and seem to genuinely care about what they do, and their patients. Most importantly - I trust them. If anyone reading this has been putting off going to the dentist out of fear or anxiety, this is where you need to go. You will not regret it.

My last appointment was, once again, with Dr. Beiderwolf, the young dental savant. I needed a replacement filling, per his thorough diagnoses during the previous cleaning. I assumed this procedure would take an hour, yet he completed this procedure in approximately 10 minutes. If there's a competitive event for dentistry, and if he has shelf space for a large size trophy, I would encourage him to enter such a competition.

I wasn't as happy as usual with the hygienist. While I understand I had some plaque buildup, she kept poking my gums with the instrument. At one point she was pressing her hand over my nose which was uncomfortable. I realize this may not be the easiest job but I have never experienced that before. I was certain when I made the appointment, I asked for the same person I had the previous time. It definitely was not the same young lady (different hair color). Also, I specifically request Dr. Skarr and I was told he was on vacation. I prefer to see the same doctor so if Dr. Skarr is not going to be in that day I would like to have the option of keeping or rescheduling.

I have recommended your dental office to everyone I know who asks about a good dentist in the area. Now my mom & mother in law go there. The staff is so kind and accommodating. If it’s something urgent you can get in quickly. And the reminders for appointments are fantastic - since we schedule our cleanings for 6 months out. I’ve never had additional services recommended for anything that isn’t necessary (like some other dental offices attempted to do). The hygienists and doctors are all so kind and helpful. I have major anxiety about dentist and they work with me to make sure I’m comfortable with everything. Wouldn’t consider going anywhere else!

With root canals and a couple of teeth removed I have gone from gum pockets of 5 and 6 to mostly 2 and 3 with a couple of 4 and 5. My mouth feels good with no pain or bad breath. No matter how hard I tried to keep my teeth clean but it was much more than that. Dr. Burns, you rock!

Also had two front teeth ground because they were rough. Left with a very noticeable chip out of one corner. Until this last visit I have always been very satisfied with the work I had done…..and that has been a lot!!

I visited for an emergency as this was one of few practices open. I had an extremely large and painful canker sore, much worse than what I typically get. While I was thankful for the office getting me in quickly, the treatment was no help. I was offered one treatment, which I informed the dentist does not work for me, but was told this was my only option. The dentist took no time to listen to concerns or history, but wanted to give me this treatment and send me on my way.

I am an international researcher from India working at Purdue. Recently, two dentists scared me that I am about to lose my teeth and need bunch of money to fix it. They were also wasting my time by taking too long to setup appointments. I traveled many miles (from Indiana to Wisconsin) to get my dental treatment done by Dr. Skarr. With Dr. Skarr I felt there was no major issue with my teeth and that things will be fine. He charged me fair for his excellent services instead of many dentists around who are busy looting patients in the name of mere X-Rays. My teeth is in great shape now. My sister is a dentist in India and she highly approves of Dr. Skarr too.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice. I came in after far far too long, and I was so nervous about being judged and about the state of my dental health. I was welcomed by a wonderful hygienist, Peggy, who immediately took my case and was so pleasant and helpful. She walked me through everything and was so patient, even when I was in tears. She offered lots of breaks and explanations, did her best to answer my questions, and was so kind and empathetic. She assured me that she wasn't judging me and validated my concerns and the pain I was feeling. I wish that everyone could have an experience like this, Peggy has truly made me so proud of my smile.

I like that you seem to keep up with all the new ways of dentistry. I feel the only things hat is a negative is that it's hard to get appointments. I need a root canal and I have to wait another 20 days and it's starting to aggravate me more and I just found out that I need this last Thursday, April 29. Dr. Burns is awesome! I can't say enough about how he made me feel comfortable as a patient. I am confident that he will be good in doing my root canal.

I am very afraid of Dentists I can hardly breath when I get in the office. I switched Insurance and could not go to my regular dentist anymore so this office was recommended by my new Insurance guy, it was wonderful!!!!! When I had my teeth cleaned I wasn't nervous at all she made me feel so comfortable. Then I had to get a crown replaced and I was very scared but once in the chair the wonderful kind young girl made me feel comfortable as well as my new Dentist. I feel very blessed to have found such a nice place to go.

I've always enjoyed my experience at your practice until this latest one. My dental hygienist was very rough during the cleaning and she even damaged the roof of my mouth during the process. I had the appointment on Wednesday and my mouth is still sensitive where she damaged it. I will not want to have her clean my teeth again in the future, nor would I want her to clean my kids'. My daughter had an appointment at the same time as me and her's was a much more pleasant experience with a different hygienist.

I have been a patient for many years. For the longest time I always had the same hygienist who I loved. After she left there's seems to have been a number that come and go. I'm pretty sure I have not seen the same one twice since Jill left. I really don't care for this inconsistency. I did not like the most recent one that I had. She was a bit rough several times, and while I actually flinched a couple of times she didn't seem to care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Skarr's for many years. There have been a few changes in the past year or so that I am not a big fan of. The main issue I have is I would prefer to make my appointment before leaving the office instead of the hygienist making it for me. This last appointment I was informed I wouldn't be seeing Dr. Skarr as he doesn't work on Mondays. It should have been noted in my file that I prefer to see only Dr. Skarr for my regular visits, he's my dentist. Nothing against the others but he's my dentist. If I had made the appointment myself last check up I would have made sure of this.

I had an emergent crown situation and I was able to be seen within hours of first occurrence. Super friendly staff from the front desk to the dental assts to the dentists. My husband will be switching to this practice soon. Dr. Burns set expectations that the crown was older and shallow and does not adhere as readily after re-application. He set expectations that if the crown fails to adhere to set a long appointment as it would need to be replaced, so I knew exactly what to expect for the future with this tooth.

I was given an appointment for the next. Dr. Biederwolf replaced a filling quickly efficiently, and very little pain.
