Dr. Sohmer takes her time in evaluating your condition. She is very thorough and explains my condition in a way that I could understand. She always asks if I have any questions and advices next steps. She seems stern, but she does have a sense of humor! Office staff is welcoming and Physician Assistant is also very attentive.

My first visit to Branchburg Eye Physicians went very smoothly. After years of going to other practices, I am used to waiting for hours for my exam to be completed. That was not the case with Dr. Sohmer and her staff. Of course, there is always some downtime, waiting for the dilating eyedrops to take effect, etc. However, I can say that this was the most efficient exam I've ever had. Dr. Sohmer and her staff are also very professional and courteous. I would have no hesitation to recommend them to a friend or colleague.

This is the most professionally run medical office I have ever visited. The staff is both competent and kind. When I arrive, I am quickly escorted to an examination room where I am given a thorough eye checkup by a Certified Ophthalmologic Technician. Mary conducted a series of tests, checked my eye pressures, dilated my eyes, and completed a host of forms on my behalf. Dr. Sohmer is a secret treasure and knows more about eye care then 3 or 4 doctors together. This office also has an optical shop with so many frames to choose from. They are top quality frames and the prices are very reasonable. Keep up the great work Branchburg Eye Physicians!

I've been seeing Dr. Sohmer since she was still at Hunterdon Medical Center. Always have been given great care and professional treatment. I marked a wait time of 40 minutes but it was explained to me that one of the staff hadn't shown up for work and that I should be prepared for a delay. Even with that, I was done in 2 hours which is the time set aside for an appointment. So, no problem

What's not to love about this group? Not only is everyone so incredibly friendly, but they are all so informative as well. Visit was with Dr. Sohmer . She was not able to hear well and I had to repeat my questions. Some of them were answered but must age could not hear and assumed I was asking something which I was not . I understand that she was an aged lady but she could wear ear piece or something to help out patients . Moreover I am not sure what she did would help with my issue . She prescribed glasses and the number prescribed is already the one I am using and I am not able to see clearly with that . So yeah!!! Big mystery here . Now I am waiting for the prescribed glasses to come and see . Hopefully it was not a waste of 200 bucks fir glasses which they prescribed. At heady fir bee patients they could have given me their best doctor . If this is the best then I feel sorry. .

I had a dire emergency situation regarding my eyesight and received an emergency referral to Branburg Eye Physicians. It was a Friday afternoon and the office should have been closed. I was anxious and upset due to the nature of this visit. Dr. Sohmer and her most able assistant Alice welcomed me and my wife in and set about to thoroughly examine my vision. During this session, Dr Sohmer’s vast knowledge and experience truly shone. Alice allayed my fears and put me completely at ease as we moved through test after test. They both gave me their due diligence and for that I am truly grateful. My vision restoration may take some time to repair, but I am quite confident that I have the right team backing me up.

Called for an appointment after injuring my eye (cornea). Got an appointment that day. Doctor Sohmer was very thorough in examining my injured eye and prescribed antibiotic eye drops for my scratched cornea. Had a follow-up visit the next day and antibiotics were already working, injury was healing and I felt much better. Dr. Sohmer knew exactly what to do and I am very grateful for her compassion, knowledge and pleasant manner. I would recommend her to anyone.

I have seen Dr. Sohmer for 40 years and have been very happy with the care I was given. For contact fit and care through cataract surgery, yearly eye exams for glasses and any normal eye concerns I might have had she was always considerate, concerned and gave me the best eye medical treatment available.
