On my 1st visit to Bensonhurst Family Vision, I arrived early, like I do to all my doctor appointments but this visit started unlike other doctor appointments. Upon arrival the staff was pleasant and welcoming. The most surprising thing that happened was that my appointment start when it was scheduled to start. The doctor was informative and thorough. The selection of eyewear covered under my plan was plentiful and fashionable. Based on first impressions, I would definitely recommend this place.

I came on Friday 04/21 for picking up my glasses and it had an issue so they told me to reorder my descriptions but they didn’t give me any details about my descriptions need to reorder and you guys are racist since My glasses are covered by insurance so I don’t get treated respectfully I have another eye drop descriptions need to refill but the pharmacist said you guys didn’t send any descriptions refill to them so far I called on Wednesday and at 10 am and came to the store to talk to them you huys are irresponsible

What a breath of fresh air! It is such a wonderful change to go to a place where you don’t feel like “just a number.” The staff and the doctor at Bensonhurst Family Vision were friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. My eye exam by the doctor was very thorough, and because of my family history of glaucoma, the doctor took extra time to ensure that my test results were accurate. Great frame selection. I was very grateful that Bensonhurst Family Vision was able to squeeze me in for a last-minute appointment. Kristen was particularly helpful in following up with me to make sure that I was able to take advantage of the slot. Since the waiting area is not super modern I was pleasantly surprised by the all of the cutting-edge equipment used by the practice. It made my appointment quick and easy, with no immediate need for dilation. The optometrist was extremely helpful and made several recommendations for how to manage dry eyes and driving glare. Thanks so much for your help and for getting me in for my appointment!

Wonderful experience especially since I have not gotten an eye exam in two years now due to birth of baby and then pandemic. Went in for eye exam and hoping to find new frames as well. The exam went very smoothly, the technician was throughout and polite. I have only great things to say about the doctor; she was very attentive, informative and throughout as well. Placed an order for new eye glasses, thank you so much for helping me find the perfect ones! Very pleased, and the best part its only a few blocks away from my apartment. I like Bensonhurst Family Vision. The only downside I have is there was not a choice of Medicaid glasses like I had the last time. There were no choices of different colors and styles. The staff is wonderful. I had my first visit yesterday. I just walked in and they found the time to accommodate me without an appointment. I always dread getting new glasses because I’ve never found something that I feel comfortable in. Everyone here took the time to answer all my questions (blue blocker/anti-glare questions) and ensure that by the time I left I had found a frame that I loved, and felt comfortable wearing. For the first time I can’t wait until they’re ready to be picked up. Kristin, Felix and Bill spent hours after my exam ensuring that I was happy with my choice. They have a wonderful selection of frames in every price range. Special thanks to Felix who has the patience of a saint for putting up with me, while still keeping a smile on his face! They’ve found a lifelong customer and I will be sending my family and friends their way.

Highly recommend this vision center. I made the appointment at my convenience through Zocdocs. The only wait time was to put my information into the system as a new patient. The doctor who I made the appointment with was on vacation and though disappointed at first because I chose him based on his five star reviews, the substitute doctor, Dr. You g was excellent. She was knowledgeable, pleasant and very thorough. She sent me off with a list of idiot proof directions to maintain healthy vision. I left without an updated prescription for vision. When I called the next day, the associate very happily offered to email and snail mail a copy. Parking is available either at meters or for free around the corner on Benson Ave.

I have been going to Bensonhurst Family Vision for the past few years and have always had a great experience, however my most recent appointment was not a good one. The staff at the front desk are so unorganized and talk a little too much (and a little too loud), ultimately making people wait longer than they have too. Before I was seen by the doctor I confirmed that my insurance was the same as previous years. After being seen by the doctor I was told that they were no longer taking my insurance and had to pay over $200 for an eye exam and contact lenses. I let them know that they should have communicated that when they checked me in. The doctor I saw was a different doctor than I usually see and I will never make an appointment with him ever again. He talked for about 40 minutes about his personal life before actually performing the eye exam. Not until I told him that I really needed to get out of there for another appointment did he finally check my eyes. He was coughing throughout the entire visit and never once cleaned or sanitized his hands. He also didn’t clean or put a tissue over the machine where I would be resting my chin and forehead for him to examine the fit of my lenses. I am totally turned off by this practice and will not be returning.

I had some trouble getting the contacts in and I was getting flustered but the staff there was so helpful and patient and sat down and walked me through it. This was our first visit to a eye doctor for my daughter Miah and she couldn't stop talking about how cool it was to be there how fast her doctor was and how helpful the receptionist was with picking out her glasses! Mind you my daughter is 6years old. The office came highly recommended on zoc doc and it was a great choice ! Also so fast service.. my daughters glasses are ready for pick up in less than 24hrs! Love it!

I arrived on time but waited for 32 minutes for the doctor to examine my eyes. I saw her one month ago but the redness didn't go away. she told me to re-try the eye drops i used for the first time. I have a feeling she doesn't really understand what to do or she is unsure. the checking and explaining procedure is not clear enough for me understand whats really going on. It took her just 10 minutes to finish the visit.

I went in with an eye infection from contact lens wear and the drops he prescribed worked by the next morning.
