I’ve been going to vision wellness for 10 years now and do not plan on going anywhere else. They’re care is so thorough and detailed. They walk you through all your personal medical information about your eyes to make sure you understand. Helps me feel educated and informed about how my eyes are doing. Annual exams are great and they always make room for me when my eyes suffer from any redness issues or dryness prescribing me medicine that works right away. This is definitely a clinic I trust and highly recommend.

This was my first visit to Vision Wellness in Avondale. I found the staff to be very professional and courteous. Dr Ambrose was extremely knowledgeable and he thorougly explained every part of my examination to me. My experience at Vision Wellness was great and I will definitely return.

Dr. Ambrose was the epitome of professionalism and friendliness. I came in with only 1/2 an hour notice as I suspected I had a foreign object in my eye. Dr. Ambrose carefully scanned my eye and determined that yes, I did indeed have some material in my eye. He numbed my eye and quickly and painlessly removed a sharp piece of metal. He then carefully removed the rust ring which had formed. I would highly recommend Dr. Ambrose to any friend.

My annual visit, Eye Tech friendly, informative, efficient. Doctor always excellent, informative and solution focused. Only reason for four stars, process of ordering new glasses was so-not sure if eye glass tech was new and unfamiliar with software but that took awhile and when checking out, she asked receptionist about a payment from another customer while I was standing there waiting to sign my receipt so that I could leave- this took about 5 extra minutes of us just waiting for this inquiry to end. Recommend tech and receptionist take care of customer you are currently assisting and address any other issues afterwards; neither seemed to realize this was not the appropriate time for the conversation nor that I was standing there waiting. Other than that no other issues.

Not spend 45-60 minute waiting every time I'm there to have a 15 minute visit for contacts. Every time I have to order contacts they say 5 business days. I call 2 weeks later and they never ordered them so it will be another 3-5 business days or they have them and never called me. Then tell me I can schedule a appointment with the DR in a week to get them fitted, and it only takes 5 minutes to do this.

I had been experiencing a red, watering and light sensitive eye for several days. My family physician had prescribed allergy eye drops after looking at my eye. After 2 days of treatment with no improvement, I contacted Vision Wellness for help. Even though I called for an appointment at the end of the day, I was quickly scheduled for the following day. Upon arrival I was immediately greeted and within minutes I was in the exam room. After some preliminary testing Dr Lee examined my eye and found a small piece of plastic which had not been seen by my family physician. Dr Lee gently dislodged and removed the plastic. Immediately my eye felt great and I was able to see perfectly. I highly recommend Vision Wellness.

I really like the doctors at Vision Wellness. They do a great job. The only issue I've ever had is with how busy they are. Their appointments are usually a month away. Once you show up for your appointment, there maybe a wait to be seen. The doctors are worth the wait, but it can be frustrating.

I wish the doctor was not on such a rush when he was seeing me. He looked very busy and very overwhelmed and running all over the place(literally). He didn't ask me if I wanted to stay with the same contacts or chane them, he just assumed so I had to tell him. I don't deel confident with the prescription numbers he gave me and I feel my vision dropped more then what he told me. After paying the full price of my visit I would think the quality of the doctors job would be better, but I guess not.

I had an appointment at 9:00 am with Dr. Lee on Tueesday, February 17. I arrived at 8:45 am to find the doors locked. I tried again at 8:55 am (receptionist was there with lights on and definitely knew I was trying to enter). Nope, she waited until exactly 9:00 am to open the doors. Really? Who runs a business like this? Most people do arrive early for their appointments to show courtesy to the doctor. However, it must mean that when your hours say that you open at 9:00 am, you certainly are NOT going to open the doors before. In addition, after the gal did all the prelim work before the doctor was to come in, I had to sit in the room for over 15 min. I finally had to open the door and ask if I was going to be helped shortly.

I should have been told about copay upfront, before visit as I have never been charged one before nor have I been billed for one before. I expressed my opinion about not paying anything up front and yet I was charged for a machine fee that was not necessary. Upon leaving having to pay $75 immediately was a huge blow to my account and stressed me out. It was uncalled for and preventable. And no one offered to have me make payments or be billed. No empathy at all. It wasn't enough to bill my insurance for three exams (my two daughters and me on the same visit)??

Vision Wellness has a great selection of eye wear an amazing Dr and great staff. Recently, I had an appointment that had to be rescheduled and Jessica was truly understanding and accommodating. The doctor was professional and genuine and it was evident that he took pride in his practice. I felt very well taken care of and well informed on the health of my eyes. I liked the fact that Dr Lee took the time to explain everything that he was doing and welcomed my questions about different aspects of vision care. I also appreciate the fact that this office is ahead of the game regarding technology as they have equipment that makes having to get the eyes dilated (always an unpleasant experience) a thing of the past. This technology comes at a price however and since my entire family of 5 went in for checkups the fee for this new technology became significant. But overall I would say I received efficient professional service service and all my questions were answered. The only thing preventing me giving a 5 star rating was the added expense (which is optional, the old fashioned dilation of the eyes is still covered under my insurance) of the new technology.

The doctor's appointment was a "10". I had concerns the way the office staff explained billing for the appointment and when purchasing eyeglasses. This reduced the overall score to "7"...Specifically, $200 if billed to insurance or $75 out of pocket. Additionally, the appointment was scheduled online. My 1:20pm confirmation email surprised the office staff. They had me at 1:45pm; this was a problem because I scheduled the appt. over my lunch hour.

Eye Exam was a 10 but when I got my new glasses they were handed to me without fitting them to my face or checking to see if they did fit. I had to call to the ladies attention that the frames were crooked. She put them on the glass table top to see which side was out of balance. She then bent the frame so to level the ear pieces. Need more professional approach in fitting customers to glasses, especially when you are spending $500 + for glasses.

I called and cancel an appointment before this one and was not happy with your costumer service. I told the Jessica that I would not go back and she didn't care. Her response to me was "ok". I decided to give you a second chance and this time was better. Your costumer service has to improve. I also can not stand on his long it takes your office to answer your phones, most of the time it's s machine answering. That should improve as well.

Honestly I had the worst experience. Dr. Lee himself is wonderful but It's after the exam is whats the problem. My first visit was ok but I couldnt find anything that I liked so Melanie helped me find some frames online and ordered them. They came in yesterday the 24th and she called me to let me know so I went in to try them and pay for them. It was extremely busy but I was patient. At one point melanie pulled the glasses out and I just needed ti pay for them. I sat there for an hour wqiting. I was told once she was done I'd be next. Well people coming in after me ti oick up frames and I kept getting skipped. Finally I got up and told the receptionist I was leaving. She couldn't tell me why I was skipped.This was unbelievable! I have been coming to you for years and to treat someone like this is unacceptable.

I prefilled the paperwork and was still asked some of the same questions at my appointment and that is honestly annoying. I got there on time and was not seen for about 20-30 minutes. Then when I was finally seen. I waited for a long time and the Dr. Was probably overbooked on appointments because he kept going back and forth between appointment which I felt was rude and not respectable to my time. Fix this and I will consider going there again. I was also not happy with the selection of glasses that were available to my daughter through my insurance. I felt like I could get a better deal without my insurance.

They have great new technology that makes it a more enjoyable experience for my daughter. Perhaps a phone call to say - just to let you know that we are running behind schedule. Would you like to keep your appointment or reschedule? That is not difficult to do. I drove down from another appointment in Surprise to be at Vision Wellness on time. If I was going to be late, I would have the courtesy to call you and let you know. I expect the same in return. When my wife went up to the desk to enquire about the wait - immediately they said we could reschedule, which is fine but we were already there, and I had to leave town the next day so we stayed. Once we were seen - it all went quickly and the gentleman who helped pick out my glasses and sunglasses was extremely helpful.

Actually I would have gone somewhere else where it was included. I compared this to a car lot. Every time I turned around my $10 kept going up. I ended up paying $45 which I wasn't expecting at all. The optometrist was great though. But $400 just for lenses was way more than I expected to pay. Sorry, but I'll take the prescription and go elsewhere.

I'm confident in the care I've received and the service I've gotten. Every time I purchase contacts, Dr. Lee takes into account the affect it has on our bank account for a year's supply, and always seems to find us a rebate or something to offset the cost. Jessica, the receptionist, is awesome and works hard to coordinate with multiple insurances to make sure we get maximum coverage.

My only reason for not giving it a five was that I was told my insurance would cover ALL of my glasses, then get hit with a $20 materials charge (which I am still looking into regarding my insurance) after going thru all of the ordering. That could have gotten me 20 pair of glasses I already use from the Dollar Tree. If I was told that upfront, I would not have opted for the glasses. I didn't think I needed a Rx, the dollar ones were working fine. But I figured they are free (Not!) so why not use the insurance I pay for?

1) The appointment was doubled booked - it happens - I dealt with it, not a big deal. 2)I called 2 weeks prior to the appointment to have the drops to reverse dilation ordered. I was told new machine & they would not dilate. Well, same procedure and eyes were dilated. This one bothered me. I knew the reverse drop had to be ordered and I called to remind because they had been over looked on prior visits. That happens too. That is why I called. 3) see question 1 - I'm not complaining - you asked for my input.

Even after dilating her eyes, Dr. Lee took a while to come back and check on her. I think he was more concerned with his phone, than getting back to his patient.

For the first time, I really didn't feel like I mattered as a patient when I came in. I waited at least 5 or more minutes at the front desk. Although busy, even eye contact with a "it will be just a minute" would have been better then to have been ignored. The front office staff were very loud and there was no sense of privacy when speaking with them or when they were talking to other patients. The wait to get my glasses took longer than my appointment itself. I arrived at 3 or so and didn't leave until after 5. There were two people helping one person for more than 20 minutes while myself and others were waiting to be helped. Again, no one even addressed us to say it would be a while. Not the service I'm used to having when I come to your offices. :(

The place was a little too crowded, no seating when we arrived and it seemed a little chaotic. New girl that helped with the selection of glasses didn't walk us through the section for children. We lingered around ourself. We came back the 2nd day and the optical reps had computer log in issues and new girl stated it was her 2nd day, which is fine but was constantly asking questions about what to do next or where to click on the computer. I hope she placed our order ok. We haven't received the glasses yet so I cannot determine the outcome.

The exam room air conditioner was not working and it was very hot. I would have preferred to have been left in the waiting area until the doctor was ready for me rather than sitting in a hot room. I did eventually leave the room myself. Also,it appears that you were understaffed when I was being checked out. I waited a good 30 minutes (if not longer) for someone to help me with my order. That was bit long for my taste.

I appreciated that I was told I would still be seen even though I wasn't able to get away from work when I intended. Dr. Vogel uses the latest technology and my questions are always answered in a clear and easy to understand manner. My daughter always finds fashionable lenses and loves how she looks in her glasses. I have been coming to Vision Wellness for a number of years and plan to continue to receive my eye care there.

The new assistant who did the preliminary eye tests did not clearly explain to me what test she was going to do and what I was supposed to do. This appointment took way too long for a simple routine eye exam.

Spend time with customers, should not have to call to check on orders especially over 2 weeks. I had to return cause a lense was not correct. Had to call to check up on trial lense. Was told they would call ASAP, they called my home number so I didn't receive until after 5pm on Friday. Still do not have proper lens, one month later.

No problem; I do recommend Vision Wellness..though not so sure about the lab(s). Recent glasses had no prism when I went to get them, then when I went to get them again, they were the reverse prism...out rather than in or in rather than out. That happened last yeaago also. Geez. Thank goodness I have a good pair of glasses and contacts and not desparate to get new glasses. :)

A suggestion - when you have more than one patient scheduled in the same time slot - the first patient to check in should be seen first. I checked in for my 2:00 appt, approximately 10-15 minutes early. While waiting in the waiting room another patient came in to check in for 2:00 with the same provider that I was seeing. She came in around 2:00. I was there 10-15 minutes before her, and yet she was seen first. I've worked in the medical field for 37 years and this was inappropriate. I should have been seen first, as I arrived and checked in first. If you cannot work around that issue, then you should not schedule more than one person in a time slot.
