I always feel like I receive excellent care when I go to Avalon Park Eye Care. Dr. Wong Tesinsky is very knowledgeable and personable. She does a wonderful job of listening to any concerns I have and explaining everything clearly. Lisa knows her stuff when it comes to frames. She’s patient and gives honest advice which I appreciate. My husband and I have been going to Avalon Park Eye Care for years and will continue to do so.

Dr. Tesinsky really took his time with me, was very patient, and thorough. Captured and explained a couple of issues that none of the doctors I tried before cared to. The front Desk and Check-Out ladies are also very nice and respectful.

As always, my appointment was great. Dr. T. made sure everything went smoothly and offered ways for me to save (coupons, auto-prescription renewal option to avoid refitting next year, free trial contacts with new prescription, etc.). I travel from downtown to come here because I trust his judgement and expertise.

Great customer service and listens to her patients requests. I went for new contacts I tried one in my left eye and a bubble just wouldn't come out so it would fit my eye and she gave me a new one to try that was so much better.

I used to get headaches when I would try to read a book. I had been to other eye clinics and a reading specialist to get my eyes checked, but everyone said I was fine. Dr. Tesinsky found a "hidden prescription" on me once my eyes were dilated. I'm excited to get glasses and I hope my headaches will go away when I read now. Thank you!

Dr. Tesinsky found a "hidden prescription" once my eyes were dilated. I had worn glasses in the past but was told by a professional in Virginia I didn't need glasses anymore. However, after spending any amount of time on the computer my eyes were really bothering me. i am looking forward to being able to complete my work with less issues once I get my new glasses! All of the people were very friendly, too!

Overall I had a really good experience here. I do have one issue though, I had to call into the office myself to see when my annual appointment was, because I had not been notified that I was able to have my checkup last may. The staff and the doctors were professional and very helpful, just notify me when I’m due for appointment.

Avalon Park Eye Care is a wonderful, professional and caring facility. We refer friends and family all the time! We enjoy the staff and especially Dr. Tesinsky. Eoghan is 10 years old and has seen Dr. Tesinsky since July of 2016. Dr. Tesinsky was extremely patient, answered all of Eoghan's questions and made sure he understood what the purpose and outcome was if each test.

First time with this doctor and had a great experience. She explained everything so I could understand and she listened to what I had to say. She answered my questions so I could understand what I needed to know. The front desk lady was very nice and the lady who fitted me for glasses was awesome. I was thrilled with my visit. The doctor was very thorough not only going over my background info, but also with the actual examination. He took the time to answer all my questions and I didn't feel rushed. Over all I had a very good experience.

What I love about Avalon Park Eye Care is the courteous, professional and friendly staff and the quality of care. You're always greeted and seated promptly when you walk in the door, and the wait to go back for your exam/consultation is minimal. The office is clean and bright with a large window while you are waiting. I see Dr. Cecelia Wong Tesinski, my husband and son see her husband, Dr. Kenneth Tesinski, and our experience has been that they are concerned for our health, they listen to our concerns and they explain everything going on with our eye health very thoroughly. We went to optical chain doctors for years, and there is absolutely no comparison in the quality of care you receive.

I have been a patient of Avalon Park Eye Care and have always found Dr. Tesinsky as well as the staff to be very caring, knowledgeable and professional! Stephanie is extremely helpful & knowledgeable in helping patients choose the best frames and lenses as well as understanding the patient's insurance benefits so that the patient uses all of their insurance benefits with minimal out of pocket expenses.

My husband and I both had appointments at the same time. We were asked if we want to take the eye photos for 20 dollars and we declined. After my husbands eyes were dilated they then approached him with a concern about macular degeneration and that he should have the photos taken but not it was a medical reason. So our insurance would pay and we would need to pay the 40 dollar deductible and insurance would pay the rest?? We found this very confusing because before we were told it was "medically necessary" it was only 20 dollars. After further review when we got home we found out that even with the test the doctor was not qualified to treat the pro blem. In any case and my husband would have had to be referred to an ophthalmologist. I feel that the doctor and his staff used the fact that we had insurance to try and pressure us on to a test and billing our insurance for something he would not have been qualified to treat. We will see a ophthalmologist and will not be return

I am so sorry that your experience at our office wasn't as pleasant as expected and I apologize for any confusion regarding the photos. One thing that should be clarified is that optometrists are completely qualified to treat macular degeneration and have been for years. Should it turn into "wet" macular degeneration, we would certainly refer to an retina specialist. However many patients remain "dry" and it is certainly within our scope to manage this.
