I have been going to 20/20 Vision Source for 35 years. Dr. Gerig is great, but on this visit I had Dr. Osaurus. She had me come in on an emergency basis. Dr. Osaurus checked and explained my condition expertly. Putting me at ease. The present, and future, have 20/20 in good hands!

Only disappointment I had was the amount I paid. I called prior to my appt and was told it would be a hundred and something dollars cause I don’t have insurance and they would give me a percent off, which I did get however I paid over $250 wasn’t prepared for that and probably would have gone elsewhere.

My family has been going to 20/20 Eyecare and seeing Dr. Gerig for 20 years. We saw Dr. Gerig before we had children and now is and our 4 current are all patients there. The staff is friendly and Dr. Gerig is very patient and knowledgeable. We've lived on the other side of town for 15 years and continue to drive across town to see Dr. Gerig.

Dr Gerig is great! He works hard to get the best vision fit for the patient, making sure the prescription really works for the individual (vs Costco that does an automated and has pretty lock-stepped opticians). There has been cosine staff turnover- the receptionist isn’t particularly friendly nor welcoming, alas.

There have been a few time where our scheduled appointments were 10-20 later. My appointment on 3/4/2022 I was told was 30 minutes behind schedule. After 45 minutes I ended up having to reschedule. It's very disappointing that staff can't inform you ahead of time that they are behind schedule when i have to account for drive time and leave work early. We have decided to go to another optometrist.

I'm an extremely satisfied client of 20/20 Vision Source in Tigard. My prescriptions are always spot on. Dr. Gerig is very meticulous and always answers questions. He and his staff are great about making special prescriptions for computer, reading, distance, etc. Joe is awesome at making sure the glasses are made up perfectly. Over the years, I've had some so-so optometrists and some good ones, but 20/20 is the best, glad I found them when I moved to Portland!

I so enjoy my appointments with Dr. Giger, he is so forthcoming and welcoming. He answers my questions and makes recommendations based on his answers. He is patient with older Luddites like me and I never feel rushed. Noting how white his hair is becoming worries me. If he retires how will I ever find another doctor as competent and caring.

Wayne Gerig gave me by far the most detailed and thoughtful eye exam I've ever received. This was my first visit there, and I was very impressed. The staff were kind, the location convenient, no pressure to buy glasses there. All I needed was a new prescription, but I walked away wondering about the quality of every other eye exam in my past. Very personal touch sort of place. I definitely will go back.

During this Covid-19 pandemic my job changed significantly and my eyes were not adapting to the changes, not to mention that my former eye doctor's office closed. I was so thankful to be able to get in. Dr. Gerig explained a lot of options that will help me immediately as well as down the road when the pandemic quarantine is lifted. I can't say enough about how thankful I am. And I was able to order my new glasses & get frames, all very sanitary with the restrictions, which was also a blessing to not have to worry about touching anything contaminated! Dr Gerig is great! Before I went here, I kept hearing the same old story about reading glasses, progressive lenses, etc. and I didn't even want to think of it, as a longtime contact lens wearer. Dr. Gerig gave me several options to help with near and far vision, without needing to go to reading glasses! I now have 3 sample sets of contact lenses and I get to choose what works best for me! I've never been presented with options like this before. The office is well designed, and they have great designer names in frames and sunglasses.

I am a patient that requires a lens that the labs do not like to make due to sensitivity of nothing less than a base curve of 8. Your staff has been very sharp on checking that for 99% of the last 22 years. The doctor also is unique in describing how to judge better or worse during examination for dialing in the correct prescription.

The office is very nice inside and they have a great selection of frames to choose from. The office staff was super nice. I didn't get taken back to see the doctor until 15 or 20 minutes after my appointment time, but I kind of expected that after reading the reviews online...but the doctor was really thorough and informative, so it made sense why that is. But my overall experience was good and I'm excited for my new glasses to get in.

Several times Dr Gerig found things about my eyes that someone would only find if he/she is detail oriented and takes the time to be thorough. He really cares. The front office staff was very helpful & kind - Leslie was amazing!!! However, I was not impressed with Dr. Gerig. He would talk over me when I tried to ask questions during the exam, tried to prescribe me the wrong type/brand of contacts, admittedly ran a test that was less accurate than an available alternative, and knew very little about the degenerative eye disease that runs in my family (RP). I feel that I have had better care with other offices; maybe Dr. Gerig was having an off day.

Don’t let her young appearance fool you into thinking she may not have enough experience, because Dr. Jade is a massively qualified and excellent optometrist. She is confident, a great listener, and goes the extra mile to make sure her patients understand what she is saying. She is encouraging, and during the entirety of the procedures she made me feel comfortable and understood. I wish I had bad eyes so I could see her more often, but 20/15 it is for me.

The only thing that hasn't been excellent was the wait time. Both times I've been in I've had to wait over 30 mins. Better communication around wait times would be appreciated and perhaps offer some water/coffer to make the wait time more pleasant. I have been seeing Dr. Gerig for more than ten years and have always found him to be a friendly and approachable person deeply concerned with my eye health. He candidly answers all my questions and suggests steps I can take to improve my eye health that don't necessarily require fearful, and expensive, medications or treatments. First Time Visitor. I haven't had my eyes checked in 30+ yrs so didn't know what to expect. Dr. Gerig was super nice and very informative about what conditions he was testing for. I’ve been seeing Dr Gerig for over 20 years. For the past 2 years I’ve had to wait 30+ min before my scheduled eye exam. It’s frustrating as I drive up from Salem. This last time my eye exam & contact fitting only took 45 min. I felt like Dr Gerig rushed with me to make up time.

They offer personal service, you get a complete exam and the lady out front has a gift with helping you pick out glasses. I always get my questions answered. It would be a 5 but its still no fun getting your eyes dilated and getting the air puff. LOL

I returned once again to 20/20 Vision Source for my eye exam. I make my appointment every two years as covered by my insurance. The morning of my exam, I did not have to wait at all for my exam. In fact, I was finishing my pre-exam questions when Dr. Gerig came out to greet me. During my exam, which was very thorough, the doctor allowed time for my questions. He found that my Rx had not changed and that I could continue wearing my present glasses. There was no pressure to upgrade with 'new ' frames or a new progressive lens to replace a small scratch that didn't interfere with my vision. Speaking of progressive lenses, when I transitioned to them several years ago....I had absolutely NO problem. I feel that the lenses were correctly marked for the progression and that had a lot to do with my positive experience. I would definitely recommend 20/20 Vision Source to anyone who is looking for a new/different eye care facility. I have been going here for 3-4 years and they are always late to bring you back for your appointment. I was the second patient of the day this last time and I waited 20 minutes and still had not been called back. I got up and left and will not be back. The doctor and staff are very friendly and nice but the doctor needs to learn to stay on time or allow more time when booking patients.

I found 20/20 Vision Source online, and used their online reviews to determine whether I wanted to schedule my eye exam with them. Their reviews were very, very good. I called to make an appointment, and, because there is one optometrist and he is very well-liked, I was told that the earliest appointment available was over a month out. The person that I spoke with on the phone let me know that there is a wait list that I could be put on, and that appointments are often canceled the day of. I was called the very next day with three openings to choose from. My actual exam experience was great great - I had been going to America's Best (didn't have vision insurance), but always felt like a number there. At 20/20, I was informed about my vision, rather than just being given a prescription (that ended up not being the best for me) and a good deal on glasses. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The 20/20 staff is fantastic! They capably accommodated my schedule by letting me know about an earlier appointment that fit my schedule so I didn't have to wait another two weeks! Further, having been a patient here for around twenty years, Dr. Gerig met with me for around 2 - 2 1/2 hours to go over my new prescription and clearly went the extra mile as other health related issues were affecting my vision, always giving me options and ideas about how my new lenses would work best.

I give high marks for staff integrity. The doctor did not introduce himself to me. I felt rushed during the exam and was told more than once that first impressions are the best, but focusing seemed more important. The doctor commented on how long my exam took. I will save him the bother next time.

As usual, 20/20 was excellent...not only with the eye exam, but also in the explanation of costs of both sets of glasses I purchased, as well as the various options for each. They new my insurance better than I did. Additionally, due to my glasses being broken, I needed a quick appointment. Although, they were booked out for 3 weeks, I was put on a cancellation list. They called me back the next day and got me in with 2 days. Very thankful for the speediness.

My entire family goes to Dr. Gerig. He's very personable and informative, and we never feel rushed during an appointment. He takes time to explain what he's doing, answer questions and give his recommendations for treatment as well as any other options that are available. My youngest doesn't do well with unfamiliar situations and I thought her first appointment would be a lesson in frustration but Dr. Gerig put her at her ease, was patient when she got upset about the eyedrops, and got her to do the "puff test" without any protest whatsoever. His office staff is also great, the office is well set up and it's a pleasure to go there every year.
